Chapter 4 - 3. A Dream Life And A Dream Boy

Elena opens her eyes, and she sees herself surrounded by magic, well, not really magic, but the place she's found herself in is what one would describe as magic.

Once lying down, she stands from the soft green grass, and she looks down to see she's wearing a long strapless golden dress that kinda matches her hair. She loves the dress, and she loves how beautiful the place is, but she is still a bit confused as to how she got here in the first place.

She's in a meadow, a very beautiful meadow with beautifully well-scented roses, fun flowers and tulips, the grass is as soft as a pillow, the sky is blue and clear, the clouds are large and white as ever, and there are several rainbows in the sky.

Could this place be heaven? Did she die and go to heaven? The vampires got to her, and now she's in paradise. But party girls never die. She thinks to herself, but at the same time, she's a bit happy she's in this calm realm filled with magic and glamour.

She feels at peace.

Who knows? She might meet her parents, her real parents and Alexandra, especially Alexandra. She's always wanted to meet her parent, but she's missed Alexandra so much. She's going to look for them, but first she has to introduce herself to the natural resources of her new home.

She walks up to the flowers and plucks a rose and smells it, she lets out a breath, and she looks to the ground of the soft green grass. She's barefoot, so her feet enjoy the feel of the grass. It makes her want to just rest on it again.

Then she looks up at the sun, the beautiful golden sun, her source of power, her best friend, her family.

The sun shines directly on her, and like how others feel when they're under the rain, Elena feels free under the sun; she feels good about herself, more confident. The sun makes her want to throw a party with strangers.

But she hasn't met people in this strange but beautiful world. She's going to go look for them, but first, a little sunbathing.

While others burn under the sun if they don't put on sunscreen, Elena glows under the sun like a beautiful human with brown skin does.

People always wondered how, they don't know that she's the sun herself, the light at the end of a tunnel, someone's joy, someone's peace.

She would rather be someone's peace than someone's chaos.

So after the sunbathing, she's going to go look for the others and party with them. This is such a good place to host and throw parties.

But something's wrong; she doesn't feel the power of the sun anymore. She opens her eyes, and she gasps when she sees darkness consuming the sky. The sun is gone.

"What?" she says, panicking, moving backwards in fear. The darkness doesn't just consume the sky, but it seems like it's coming for the ground as well. Destroying the trees, the flowers and the grass, the darkness is coming for her.

RUN ELENA RUN!

She thinks to herself, and then she turns around to make a run for it. She moves as fast as her legs can carry her. She doesn't stop for anything.

But something is wrong; her legs are moving, but her body isn't. She's been jogging on the spot since then. What sorcery is this? Why isn't she moving?

She groans and moans, and when she looks back, she sees the darkness rushing toward her in a swish.

How can she die on earth and then die in paradise? Will the darkness ever leave her alone? She gives up, and she closes her eyes, waiting for the darkness to take her.

"ELENA, WAKE UP!"

She jolts up with a scream. When her eyes are open, she looks around in fear, but she's not in the meadow anymore, she's in a room with purple walls, posters of One Direction and Harry Styles, scattered clothes on the ground and glitter stains on her wardrobe.

She's in her room. It was all just a dream; she was dreaming. Which means she's not really dead. She's alive, and that was just a nightmare.

She knew it, party girls don't die.

She tries to calm herself down, but she can't seem to because there's one thing that's not supposed to be in this room. We, well, not a thing but a person, and that person is so fucking hot.

"Are you okay?" He asks, his accent is French. Even makes him sexier.

"I'm- I'm good. It was just a bad dream," she moves nervously.

She knows this guy; it was the guy who helped Alex kill those vampires.

He's hotter up close, and he's French.

He looks like a fallen angel, with his golden brown skin, full lips, eyes the colour of emeralds, pointy ears and a buzz cut; his hair is silver colored. He's wearing a black shirt and his biceps are very visible; in fact, she doesn't want to stare for too long.

He's an elf just like Patrick and Alex.

But she knows she's blushing, she is, she cannot control that side of her.

But wait a minute…

"What are you doing in here? Where's Alex?" Yes, there is a cute boy here, but the events of last night got her back to her senses.

"Oh uh, your dad, Mr Walker, sent me to check up on you. I got distracted looking at pictures of you and Alex, and that's when I saw your discomfort." His voice, low and smooth like ASMR, he looks like a gentleman, which is strange because if any average boy had his looks and body, they'd be fuck boys.

The fact that he's in here is embarrassing because the room is a mess, and she never cleans her room. Well, she does, but it's once a week. Clothes are always scattered everywhere.

"As for Alex, he's downstairs with Mr Walker." Patrick is probably talking to Alex about how he's going to punish Elena for sneaking out of the house to a party.

Those bloody vampires have blown her cover.

"What happened last night? The last thing I remember was that vampires were going to attack you then… I don't know."

"Oh, you saved me, Elena," he says with a smile.

She looks at him with her eyes widened, she's in shock, and she's also confused.

"Me? How?"

"You really do not remember," he says, smiling. He's always smiling, and he has a beautiful smile.

Bullocks, he's beautiful.

She shakes her head because she really doesn't remember.

"You went full powerful fairy mode, and you destroyed those vampires. It was cool, you were cool."

She blushes harder, not just at the fact that this fine gentleman called her coo, but because she actually used her powers to attack vampires and won.

She scoffs. "I destroyed those vampires, really?"

"Oui, you used so much power that it drained your energy, and you fainted. That explains why I don't remember how you got here."

She smiles harder, and then she smirks, a confident smirk on her face.

"Wow, I'm a badass," she says proudly. The handsome elf giggles.

"Yes, yes, you are."

"I have to go meet my family," she gets out of bed, and she's still wearing the clothes she wore last night. No need to change, her dad already knows that she snuck out of the house. She's about to open the door, but she stops when she realises she's forgetting something.

She turns around to meet Pierre's beautiful emerald green eyes.

He's smiling at her.

"What's your name?"

"Oh, forgive me, mademoiselle, I am Pierre Badeaux." he does a bow, which is a bit awkward to Elena because no one really does that to her. But then she remembers she's royalty. But still, it's awkward.

"Nice to meet you, Pierre." She brings out her hand for a handshake. "I'm Elena."

"I know," he says in a flirty voice, takes her hand and plants a soft kiss on the back of her hand, and that makes Elena shiver.

"Nice to meet you too," he says and the two stare at each other for a long time. His emerald green eyes looked into her ocean blue. They've fallen into a puddle of admiration.

Pierre is the first to snap out of it.

"We should go downstairs and meet your family."

"Yes, yes." Elena clears her throat. "Sure."

She turns around and hits her head on the door.

"OW!"

"Oh, sorry, should I check that for you?"

"It's fine, I'm fine," she says, rubbing her head.

She heads downstairs, and she immediately hears arguments between Alex and Patrick, and it's about her. Alex is saying Elena is ready to go to Lenfairia, Patrick is saying she doesn't have to go if she doesn't want to, and she can decline.

But the thing is, Elena does want to go; she's always wanted to go to a planet that mirrors Earth but has magic in it.

She knows Patrick is just not ready to let her go yet because of the threats, but he doesn't seem to have a choice; she doesn't seem to have a choice.

Her parents gave her strict instructions: when her powers begin to manifest, she should go back to her planet.

She has to chime in; she hates seeing Alex and Patrick fight.

"I want to go," she says, interrupting their back and forth. They stop arguing, and they look at her.

"What?" Patrick says.

She breathes in and out.

"I'm ready, I want to go to Lenfairia," she confirms, and she has made up her mind.
