Chapter 12 - Forever Bound

The moon was fat and golden, heavy in the sky like an ancient god watching the world sleep. But sleep would not come tonight. Not to the wolves of Silverhollow. Not to their Alpha. And certainly not to his mate.

Luna stood barefoot on the sacred hill, her long white cloak billowing behind her. Her hair shimmered with moonlight, lips trembling not from fear, but from something far deeper. The moment had come.

Behind her, Yoongi approached slowly. His Alpha aura pulsed with calm dominance, but in his eyes? The storm of a thousand fears. She turned as he stopped inches away.

"Are you sure?" he asked, his voice raw.

She nodded. "The bond... it has to be finished."

Around them, the pack had gathered in reverent silence. Wolves of all ranks, even the Elders, knelt as the Moonfire altar lit in a blaze of silver-blue flame.

The ancient rite.

The eternal bond.

Yoongi extended his hand. Luna placed hers in his.

They stepped into the fire.

The flames didn't burn.

They sang.

Images danced across the silver heat — Luna as a child, running under starlight. Yoongi, bleeding alone on a battlefield. Two souls, fractured. And then, colliding.

His hands cradled her face.

"My mate," he whispered.

"My Alpha," she breathed back.

And then, the Moon answered.

Light burst from their joined bodies, so bright the wolves shielded their eyes. Luna's skin glowed like pearl; Yoongi's eyes turned to liquid silver. Their bond sealed not with blood, but with spirit.

When the light faded, they stood there, unshaken. One.

Married by the Moon itself.

Back at the packhouse, the celebration hit chaos levels.

Jimin, naturally, was at the center.

"Alright, who spiked the berry juice with moonshine?!" he yelled, half-dancing with an Elder who clearly didn't care.

Then he saw her.

Mistical.

She wasn't from Silverhollow. She'd come with the nomadic Crescent Seers. She wore black and amethyst, her hair like ink, her eyes... stormclouds ready to break.

Jimin was ruined in five seconds flat.

He sauntered over, pretending not to be wrecked.

"You look like prophecy."

She raised a brow.

"And you look like trouble."

He leaned closer.

"What if I'm both?"

She smirked.

"Then maybe I'm cursed enough to enjoy it."

From a distance, Luna watched, sipping from a carved wooden cup, grinning. Yoongi, behind her, frowned.

"He better not mark her before they survive a full moon."

"Jealous, Alpha?"

He kissed her neck.

"No. Just protective of your brother-in-law."

She snorted. "Liar."

One year later...

The forest was alive.

Sunlight dappled through the leaves. Somewhere in the trees, a little voice shrieked with laughter.

Yoongi sprinted past the herb garden.

"I SWEAR TO THE MOON, COME BACK HERE!"

A blur of curls, tiny paws, and giggles zipped around the corner.

"NOPE! YOU CAN'T CATCH ME!"

Luna stood on the porch, arms crossed, grinning ear to ear.

"What did she do this time?"

Yoongi stopped, huffing, hair sticking to his forehead.

"She painted the Council room with blackberry jam. On every wall."

"That's my girl."

Yoongi groaned. "She's literally a chaos gremlin in toddler form."

Their daughter—Min Aera, named after Luna's mother—burst out from behind the shed, wearing nothing but a wolf tail and one sock. Yoongi chased her again.

"IF I CATCH YOU, YOU'RE TAKING A BATH!"

"THEN YOU'LL NEVER CATCH ME!"

The entire pack heard the screams. Some laughed. Others ran.

Life was beautiful.

That night, under quieter stars, Luna and Yoongi sat curled on the rooftop of their home. Aera finally asleep. The world quiet.

"We survived, huh?" she said.

"Barely," he muttered. "But I wouldn't trade any of it."

She leaned into him.

"Even the jam walls?"

He kissed her temple.

"Even the jam walls."

She looked up at the sky.

The moon smiled back.

And somewhere, in the distance, a golden-haired boy and a violet-eyed girl stood at the edge of a cliff, holding hands like they were the only two stars left in the sky.

Jimin.

Mistical.

A new story had begun.

But for Luna and Yoongi?

Theirs had just found its peace.

The Alpha.

The Luna.

The Moon.

Forever bound.
