Chapter 13 - chapter 13

Jiraiya and Tsunade had received the urgent summons a week ago, but tracking down Tsunade had taken time. They finally crossed the Konoha border, moving with grim purpose. The news of Hiruzen's and the council's sudden death a week prior was a heavy weight. They expected a village still reeling, leaderless and adrift.

They did not expect the song.

It hit them just as they cleared the trees, the village walls coming into view. A voice, amplified by wind chakra, raw and powerful, wove a tapestry of pain and defiance over the sleeping village.

*("The tides of the past

Turned my aching scars to hardened scales

My breath, a coming storm")*

Jiraiya skidded to a halt on a high branch, his face a mask of confusion. "What in the...?"

*("My bloodline, my roots

Buried deep within, beneath my skin

My heart, drawing the thunder's hymns")*

Tsunade stopped beside him, her brow furrowed. "That chakra..." she whispered, her senses as a medic-nin and a Sannin reaching out. It was immense, but it wasn't a beast. It was... human. But like no human chakra she had ever felt.

*("Cold steel sharpens, tempers my scorching bones

The storm, a song tearing from out my throat

Legends guide and shape me

Forging me in agony")*

Then the pressure hit them. It was a wall of pure, undiluted power that washed over the forest, making the leaves shudder. Jiraiya's eyes widened. "That's... that's on par with a Tailed Beast! What's happening in there?!"

*("Unveil my heart and song

Mighty roars that ring ever long

Cast off the dead and gone

The storms rage on

My eyes ablaze with light

Rising up to see the skies")*

They exploded into motion, leaping from branch to branch, their personal grief shoved aside by the imminent catastrophe. They burst onto the main road just inside the gate, expecting to see a monster rampaging.

Instead, they saw the Hokage Monument.

Their jaws went slack as they watched the stone of the cliff face to the *right* of the Fourth's—Minato's—face crack and groan. Rock and dust exploded outwards not from an existing face, but from blank rock, as a *fifth* face was carved with impossible, terrifying speed. The features of a young woman with determined eyes and Uchiha features took form beside Minato's, a new, permanent addition to the mountain.

The final note of the song hung in the air, the chakra pressure receding into a tight, controlled vortex at the top of the Hokage Tower.

A new voice rang out, clear and absolute, carrying the same wind-amplified weight.

**( Hana uchiha now is the fifth hokage till a suitable candidate appears, )**

"WHAT?!" Tsunade and Jiraiya said in unison, their heads snapping toward the tower. An Uchiha? A *Fifth* Hokage? Hiruzen had been dead for a week, and in that time, someone had not only taken power but added a face to the mountain! The audacity was staggering.

**( as the new hokage i ban anyone under the age of 16 on participating on wars , )**

Tsunade's protest died in her throat. Her eyes, wide with outrage, flickered with something else. Shock. Then... a dawning, grudging... respect? It was a law she would have instituted herself, a protection for the young that no Hokage had ever dared to make.

**( also you young people you need to work hard if you wanted to be hokage you need the approval of the majority of the ninja clans heads and the jonins so it time for you to prove yourself by studying and working hard the village is rising up to new era that you will be all leading )**

Jiraiya listened, his initial fury cooling into sheer, bewildered astonishment. This wasn't a madwoman's rant. This was a detailed policy speech. She was speaking directly to the kids, setting a high, merit-based bar, but offering a vision of the future.

**( don't worry about failure because we adults still alive to help you , )**

A promise of support. A vow that the children would not be thrown into the grinder as they had been.

**( the village only reason for existing is to protect it villagers and ninja clans that the only reason we united to survive )**

The final line hung in the air. It was the simplest, purest expression of the Will of Fire either of them had heard in decades. It cut through all the complexity, right to the heart of what a village was supposed to be.

The silence that followed was profound.

Jiraiya let out a long, slow whistle, running a hand through his shock of white hair. He stared at the mountain, now featuring a fifth, unfamiliar face. "Well... I'll be damned. They added a new wing in a week."

Tsunade was still staring, her arms crossed tightly. The anger was still there—at the audacity, the presumption. But it was warring with a deep, unsettling curiosity. This woman had seized power, literally carved her place into history, and immediately used it to enact sweeping reforms.

"She just... did it," Tsunade muttered, almost to herself. "In a week. She didn't ask. She didn't form a committee. She just... declared it and made it stone."

"And carved her face on the mountain to make it stick," Jiraiya added, a wry grin tugging at his lips despite the insanity of it all. "You have to admire the guts."

"Or the insanity," Tsunade countered, but the bite was gone from her voice. She looked from the new face on the mountain to the tower. "An Uchiha Hokage who protects children and preaches unity. The world has officially turned upside down."

They stood there in the middle of the silent street, two Legendary Sannin, who had been summoned to save a village in crisis, only to find it had already been saved—and completely reinvented—by a storm named Hana Uchiha. Their role was no longer clear. The village they had returned to was not the one they had left.
