Chapter 27 - Omochā & Darkest Sin

The fields stretched endlessly under the late morning sun—rows of plump tomatoes, fat carrots, golden corn swaying like lazy soldiers. No scarecrows. No hoes left in the dirt. No distant shouts of farmers cursing the heat. Just silence, broken only by the crunch of Luffy chewing another stolen carrot like it personally owed him rent.

He swallowed, wiped his mouth with the back of his hand, and looked around with a confused pout.

"Oi… why isn't anyone here? These crops look ready to eat. Where are all the farmers?"

Banchina—still tugging the hem of her oversized t-shirt down every few seconds—crossed her skinny arms and huffed.

"Because the Celestial Dragons came, dummy."

Luffy blinked. Carrot half in his mouth.

"Celestial… what now?"

Nami—already suspicious—stepped closer, one hand on her hip.

"Who are those?"

Banchina rolled her eyes so hard it looked painful.

"You guys really don't know anything, huh? They're the World Nobles. The absolute top of everything. They live in Mariejois, they own the world, they can order a whole country burned down if they feel like it. One of them sneezes wrong and a Buster Call happens. Everyone has to drop what they're doing and go greet them like gods. That's why the fields are empty. Everyone's at the harbor kissing their boots."

Zoro snorted, arms crossed.

"Sounds like assholes with too much power."

Nojiko tilted her head.

"So… they're just allowed to do whatever they want? No consequences?"

Banchina nodded solemnly.

"Pretty much. They're untouchable. Even the Admirals bow to them. If they want your house, they take it. If they want your daughter…" She trailed off, suddenly looking smaller. "…they take her."

Luffy finished his carrot—crunch—and tilted his head.

"They sound like good pirates."

Everyone froze.

Nami's eye twitched. "Excuse me?"

Luffy shrugged like he'd just stated the sky is blue.

"A good pirate does whatever they want, right? Steals, fights, takes stuff, eats good food. If they can do all that and nobody stops them, they're really good at being pirates."

Banchina's mouth fell open in horror.

"They're not pirates! They're World Nobles! There's nothing good about them! They hurt people! They kill for fun! They—"

Luffy cut her off, genuinely confused.

"But if they're not pirates, then what are they? Marines? Heroes? 'Cause if they're doing pirate stuff but nobody calls them pirates, that's boring."

Banchina stomped her foot—shirt riding up dangerously high.

"You're stupid! They're not pirates! Pirates are free! Nobles are just… evil!"

Nojiko stepped between them—hands raised.

"Okay, okay—enough. Luffy, stop arguing with a kid. Banchina, he's… special. Let's not fight about it."

Luffy pouted, crossing his arms.

"She started it."

Banchina huffed—then noticed Luffy staring at her legs again. She yanked the shirt down harder, face going scarlet.

"And stop looking up my shirt!"

Luffy grinned—zero shame.

"But you're butt naked under there. I can see everything with my special eyes."

Banchina squeaked—hands flying to cover her crotch even though the shirt still reached mid-thigh.

"Y-You pervert! How—?!"

Luffy tilted his head innocently.

"I see through stuff. It's fun. So why're you naked under the shirt anyway? You cold?"

Banchina's face somehow turned even redder. She looked left, right, then mumbled at the dirt.

"…It's family tradition. Girls born in our family are… Omochā."

Nami blinked. "Omo… what?"

"Omochā," Banchina repeated, quieter. "It means 'toy' or… 'plaything'. When guests come to our island, the Omochā have to serve them. Any way they want. And we're… not allowed to wear undergarments. Ever. It's the rule."

Silence.

Then Luffу's grin slowly widеnеd—slοw, filthу, dеlighted.

"Sο… serviсe means sех?"

Banсhіna squеaked agаіn—hаnds сοvеrіng hеr fаcе now.

"Y-Yеs… but I'm not bаptized уеt! I'm too уοung! Οnly Mom аnd Bіg Sіs dο it!"

Luffу's еуеs spаrkled.

"So іf I'm а guest… you hаve tο lеt mе dο іt when уοu'rе bаptіzеd?"

"N-Nο! I mеаn—yеs, but—!"

Luffу clарреd hіs hands togethеr.

"Аwesοme! Takе me tο your house! I wanna be а guest rіght now!"

Banchіna bаckеd up—shirt rіdіng dаngerously high аgаіn.

"Y-You can't! Mom and Sis aren't even home! And I'm not ready—!"

Nami—finally catching up—stepped in front of Luffy.

"Luffy. She's a kid. No."

Luffy pouted.

"But she said it's tradition! And I'm a guest!"

Nojiko sighed—rubbing her temples.

"Luffy… boundaries. We're not raping children."

Luffy scratched his head.

"Fine… but can we still go to her house? I wanna eat more crops. And maybe meet her mom and big sis. They sound tasty too."

Banchina—now bright red and near tears—stomped her foot again.

"You're all perverts! I'm not taking you anywhere!"

But she didn't run.

She just stood there—shirt hem clutched in white-knuckled fists—glaring up at Luffy like he was the most confusing, terrifying, and strangely magnetic thing she'd ever met.

The Going Meat crew—now one naked farm girl richer in awkward tension—headed toward the distant rooftops.

The island smelled like rich soil and secrets.

Luffy kept nagging, so Banchina gave in eventually.

The dirt path leading to Banchina's family home was eerily empty — no dogs barking, no laundry flapping on lines, no children chasing each other. Only the crunch of six pairs of feet and the occasional whimper from Usopp broke the silence. Banchina walked ahead, t-shirt hem clutched in white-knuckled fists, face pale.

They rounded the last bend.

The house was modest but sturdy — two stories, thatched roof, small porch with flower pots. But now it was surrounded by a ring of Marines — twenty at least — rifles leveled, bayonets fixed. Inside, the windows were shuttered, but the sounds leaking through were unmistakable.

Two women's voices — hoarse, broken, pleading.

"Please… stop… we can't… anymore…"

"Mercy… we'll die… please…"

The words were punctuated by wet slaps, grunts, laughter — cruel, aristocratic laughter — and the unmistakable rhythm of flesh on flesh.

Banchina froze. Tears spilled instantly. Her small body shook with silent rage.

"That's… Mom… and Big Sis…"

She dragged Luffy and the others behind a thick row of bushes — crouching low.

"They're… the Celestial Dragons… they came this morning. Said they wanted 'entertainment'. Mom and Sis… they had to…"

Her voice cracked.

"If we fight back… they'll kill everyone. Drstroy the whole village with Buster Call. Everything."

Luffy — crouched beside her — tilted his head.

"They're hurting them?"

Banchina nodded — tears dripping onto the dirt.

DING!

The system chime cut through the tension like a knife.

[Quest: Darkest Sin]

[Objective:]

Defeat all Marines guarding the house

Kill the Celestial Dragons inside

Offer their corpses to Nojiko for cooking

[Reward: Minor Conqueror's Haki (Lv.1 – basic intimidation burst) + Increased Haki potential for entire crew]

Luffy's eyes lit up — pupils dilating.

"Kill the World Nobles… and cook them? For Nojiko?"

[A/N: Nojiko has a thing for cooking people.]

He turned to Zoro — grinning like a kid who just found free candy.

"Zoro. Let's knock out the Marines, kill the Dragons, then play with the Omochā later. Sounds fun!"

Zoro cracked his neck — swords already half-drawn.

"Sounds like a good idea."

Nami's face went white.

"Are you insane?! Celestial Dragons?! If we kill them—"

Nojiko — eyes hard — cut her off.

"They're raping Mom and Sis right now. I don't care who they are."

Usopp — hiding behind the bush — started shaking like a leaf.

"N-NO! We can't! Celestial Dragons?! We'll all die! Buster Call! Everyone dies! I don't wanna die—!"

Luffy stood up — straw hat casting a shadow over his grin.

"Captain's orders. We're going in."

Usopp curled into a ball — crying hysterically.

"WHY IS THE CAPTAIN LIKE THIS—?!"

Nami grabbed Luffy's arm — desperate.

"Luffy — think! If we do this—"

Luffy looked at her — eyes clear, smile gone for once.

"They're occupying my Omochā. I gotta make them gone."

He turned toward the house.

Zoro fell in beside him — swords glinting.

Nojiko — face set like stone — followed.

Nami — after one heartbeat of hesitation — cursed under her breath and ran after them.

Usopp stayed curled behind the bush — sobbing.

The Marines saw them coming — rifles snapped up.

"Halt! Identify yourselves!"

Luffy didn't slow down.

He threw a casual Gum-Gum Pistol — armament-coated fist blurring — and the lead Marine's chest caved in like wet cardboard. The others opened fire — bullets pinging off Luffy's rubber body, ricocheting wildly.

Zoro blurred forward — three-sword style igniting.

Demon Slash.

Three arcs of steel — Marines fell in pieces before they could scream.

Some showed skill — officers with Six Powers — shave, finger pistol, paper arts. One nearly landed a Rankyaku on Zoro.

Zoro smirked.

38 Caliber Phoenix

Three slashing wave sliced through the air and people ahead.

Luffy laughed — bouncing between Marines — Gum-Gum Gatling turning groups into red mist.

"They're kinda strong! Fun!"

The last Marine — bloodied, terrified — screamed into a Den Den Mushi.

"Rear Admirals! Backup! Now!"
