She rubbed her arm, avoiding his stare. "Okay sooo… where I'm from, this place doesn't exactly… exist."
Rimuru frowned. "Doesn't exist? Pretty sure I'm standing right here."
"Yeah, I know, I know, sounds crazy." She waved her hands around, talking way too fast. "But like… imagine if your whole world was just… a story. Something people watched for fun. That's where I'm from. I've seen you before. I know your name, I know some of the things that happen here, and I swear I'm not making it up."
Rimuru's eyes narrowed just slightly, his expression unreadable. "So you're saying you know me. That you've seen the future of my village? Of my people?"
"…Pretty much, yeah," she admitted, grimacing. "Like, don't get me wrong, I don't know everything, I'm not some all-knowing god or anything. But I know enough to… y'know… recognize you. And the goblins. And even this whole place."
The goblins in the back were whispering louder now, confused and nervous. Rimuru held up a hand and they quieted down instantly. He kept his eyes locked on her.
"That's a pretty bold claim. If you were just some random traveler, I could deal with that. But if you actually know things you shouldn't…" He let the words hang in the air, the weight of his tone pressing down. "…then I have to be careful."
She felt a bead of sweat slide down her cheek. "I'm not here to screw anything up, okay? I didn't even mean to come here. One second I was in my room, the next—bam. Cliffside, goblins, and now I'm talking to you. That's literally my entire plan. Total accident."
For a long second, Rimuru just… stared. His expression softened a little, but only a little. "…You're telling the truth. At least, you think you are."
She blinked. "You can tell?" She tilted her head a bit.
"I've got skills for that," he said simply, like it was no big deal.
Her jaw dropped. "Wait wait wait, you used Great Sage on me didn't you!? Oh my god this is wild—" She cut herself off, realizing what she just said.
Rimuru's eyes sharpened instantly. "…You shouldn't know that name." Rimuru began to put his gaurd up again.
Her blood ran cold. "Crap." She covered her mouth with her hand quickly but to late.
