Chapter 2 - "A Powerful Nen Ability!!"

------

------

Nen Ability: Four-Dimensional Treasure Pouch

⦿Effect: Once a day, the pouch generates a random item. The item can then be taken out and used at any time.

⦿Restrictions: Only one item can be drawn each day, and whether it's good or bad is completely random. The user must figure out its function on their own. Every use consumes nen and aura.

The stronger the item, the greater the drain. If the user doesn't have enough nen and aura, the tool simply won't activate.

That was the ability Morin had received.

It looked simple enough—fair, even.

Equivalent exchange. If you want power, you have to pay for it.

And yet…

"Wait a sec. These tools… are they all from Doraemon's world?!"

Morin's eyelid twitched. "Good god, am I supposed to be Doraemon in the world of Hunter x Hunter?!"

And sure enough, his memories confirmed it: every single item inside the pouch came straight out of Doraemon's arsenal.

That was his cheat—the golden finger that came with his transmigration. He could perfectly recognize whatever item he pulled, and he already knew how each one worked.

Once that sunk in, he even found the energy to joke about it:

"So basically, don't ever run errands for your boss or you might just end up with a time-travel starter pack. One-way trip, complimentary baptism, nen ability included. Full-service package deal."

Of course, that was just him laughing at his own misfortune.

This wasn't Nobita's world, and there was no kid waiting for him to save the day.

This nen ability had been tailored specifically for him, here and now.

After all, the Four-Dimensional Pouch gave him Doraemon's gadgets at random—and he just happened to have organized and memorized the functions of most of them back in his old world.

He wasn't claiming to be an expert, but at the very least, he knew them inside out.

And Doraemon's gadgets weren't just cute conveniences. Sure, some were everyday tools, but many were terrifying weapons.

Whenever Doraemon saw a mouse, he'd panic and pull out bombs big enough to level a house—or the entire planet. Then there were the laser pistols that could melt tanks, or the tracking missiles powerful enough to shred an aircraft carrier.

Sometimes Morin seriously wondered if Doraemon had really been designed as a babysitting robot for kids.

But if he were to actually draw one of those catastrophic weapons?

Well, even if he trained to Netero's level, he doubted he'd have enough nen to actually fire one up.

"…Better focus on getting stronger first."

Morin made up his mind.

In this dangerous world, strength was everything—and nen was the foundation of it.

The ability to manipulate life energy, freely controlling the aura flowing through one's body, was what they called nen. Hunters used it for both offense and defense.

It was also the bare minimum requirement for becoming a real Hunter.

Nen training had four basic techniques:

➣Ten: Keeping aura flowing evenly through the body, providing a natural defense against nen attacks.

➣Zetsu: Closing off the aura nodes, concealing presence entirely. In this state, the user is defenseless against nen but recovers stamina faster.

➣Ren: Expelling a greater amount of aura than usual, strengthening the user's output.

➣Hatsu: The culmination of nen training, shaping aura into a unique ability tailored to the user—a personal, deadly skill.

Many schools taught nen, but the most established one was the Shingen-ryu, formalized and spread by the Hunter Association. These four basics were their beginner's curriculum.

But that was just the start.

From there came advanced techniques like Ko (Focus), En (Circle), and Ken (Fortification). Even geniuses struggled to master them without guidance from a skilled teacher.

"Even with this Four-Dimensional Treasure Pouch ability, I can't just lock myself up and think I'll grow strong."

Nen had existed in this world for who knows how many years. Morin wasn't arrogant enough to think that just because he'd seen an anime, he could surpass everyone else.

Yes, he had the advantage of foresight, but in terms of raw comprehension of nen, people like Netero or Zeno Zoldyck were far ahead of him.

"…But with these incredible tools from another world—tools from the twenty-first and twenty-second centuries—surpassing them isn't impossible either."

Morin's eyes hardened.

He wasn't going to underestimate himself. He believed in his future.
