Chapter 24 - school Trip(4)

*Jeju Island – Group B Girls Dorm, Floor 1 – Night*

The soft sound of waves crashing against the distant beach could barely be heard through the open windows, where the night air drifted in with a salty breeze. The room was brightly lit with fairy lights strung across the walls, casting a warm golden hue over the girls seated in a loose circle on the floor. Pillows, snacks, juice boxes, and half-empty bags of chips were scattered everywhere.

Katherine tossed popcorn into the air and tried catching it with her mouth—missing every time.

"This is literally giving rom-com sleepover energy," she said, stretching her legs.

"*So real,*" Ria agreed, taking a selfie with her chopsticks mid-bite.

The atmosphere was light, giggly, and filled with small bursts of laughter—until Blue leaned in, her eyes twinkling with mischief.

"So Nao…," she said slowly, drawing everyone's attention. "You and Kaze, huh?"

Nao froze, her spoon halfway to her mouth.

"W–What?" she stammered, nearly choking on her cereal.

"Oh my god, she almost died from a spoon of cereal," Katherine laughed, rolling on the floor.

"You were like a tomato when he hugged you this morning," Blue added with a teasing grin. "You looked like your soul left your body."

Ria glanced up from her phone, then went back to scrolling. Her screen still showed her last message to Kaze, unopened.

"I wouldn't blame her though," Katherine said, casually fixing her messy bun. "Kaze is one fine-looking dude. When I first saw him, I thought he was a K-pop trainee."

Nao's cheeks burned, and she waved her hands quickly.

"No—no! I don't like Kaze, what the hell! We're just childhood friends."

Ria didn't look up, but there was a shift in her posture.

Chaoi, who had been painting her nails in the corner, raised a brow.

"Exactly. They're childhood friends. Doesn't mean there's a crush involved. Kaze and Ria are basically a package deal anyway."

Blue raised her hands in mock surrender.

"Chill, I wasn't accusing anyone. Just asking."

"*A little too eagerly,*" Nao muttered, stabbing her cereal again.

"Anyway," Katherine said, trying to pivot, "if anyone's going to pull a late-night love story in Jeju, I'm placing bets."

"On who?" Blue asked, eyes lighting up.

"Not telling," Katherine winked. "I'll collect the money when it happens."

As they all laughed again, Nao lowered her head, poking at her soggy cereal.

"goodness," she thought, "is it *that* obvious? Why'd he have to hug me like that in front of everyone…"

Meanwhile, Ria silently closed her phone and leaned back, expression unreadable.

Outside the dorm window, the soft wind swept through the trees, and distant laughter echoed from the boys' wing.

Group A Boys Dorm (Floor 2, Right Wing)*

The room was lit with all sides lamp on, casting a glow over the messy floor now littered with empty snack wrappers, game cards, and suspicious-looking milkshake cans. The air was buzzing with low laughter, mischief, and the soft hum of music from someone's speaker.

But those milkshake cans? Yeah—*definitely* spiked.

"Tch, tastes like strawberries… mixed with *sin,*" Damion smirked, tipping his can up and leaning back lazily on a pillow.

"You're gonna regret that when your stomach turns inside out," Sato said, leaning on the windowsill. He wasn't drinking—just watching the chaos unfold. Still, his hands fidgeted with guilt over the ID card he'd handed Kaze earlier to get in.

Across the room, Kaze was stretched out on the bed, arms behind his head, an unreadable smirk playing on his lips.

"Lol, this would be fun if we invite the girls over," Damion suddenly said, chuckling.

"Ha ha… *risk,*" Sato shot back immediately.

"That would literally break like—every rule Marion listed," Tashiba added, though he didn't sound like he was *fully* against the idea.

"You'd get to see Nao again," Damion nudged Kaze with his foot.

Kaze blinked slowly. "So?"

"So?" Damion grinned. "Your eyes nearly pop out every time she breathes near you."

Sato perked up. "Wait—*you* like Nao?"

Kaze sat up.

"W-What? No, lol..shes not even my type, just my friend"

"Sure," Damion snorted, grabbing his phone. "Anyway, I'm calling. Let's spice this up."

A few minutes later, there was a knock—followed by a low cheer as Katherine, Blue, Ria, and Nao stepped in cautiously, throwing glances around the dim room.

"Kaze. Here too?

Blue asked surprised.

" lol..This just the first day and you all breaking all the rules"

Sato said but no one replied his comment .

Blue picked one of the cans.

"Ohhh… what's this?" Blue raised an eyebrow, sniffing the air. "This isn't milkshake."

Kaze was already walking toward Nao, taking the can from her hand before she even lifted it. "Not for you."

"Why?" Nao blinked, caught off guard.

"Gotta protect your brain cells. You're gonna need them to beat Group B," he teased, ruffling her hair.

"Stop it," Nao mumbled, pulling away with a light shove, cheeks warming.

"You talking like your not in team B yourself"

"Yh..whatever, Come take something better than this"

He said dropping the can on the table.

Ria, still smiling, quietly took a seat on the far side of the room—her eyes flickering briefly toward Kaze and Nao. She popped open a soda, plastering on her cheerful mask.

Games started—cards, dares, and some weird quiz Katherine downloaded from an app called *"Who's the Flirtiest?"**Inside the Boys' Dorm – Game Time*

The lights were dimmed, pillows were scattered in a wide circle on the floor, and the center of the room had become a messy playground—snacks, half-drunk cans, and a speaker playing soft background lo-fi beats. The laughter had died down just enough for Katherine to stand up dramatically, holding her phone.

"Okay—listen up!" she grinned. "We're playing *Wild Whispers!*"

"Oh no," Blue said with a sly grin, already munching chips.

"What's Wild Whispers?" Tashiba asked.

"A chaos game," Ria replied, eyes brightening.

"You whisper a dare or question to the person on your right—*they* have to do it or reveal a secret."

"Sweet," Damion said, cracking his knuckles. "Let's go."

The game began with whispers, laughter, and some light teasing—until it reached Kaze, who leaned close to Nao, a smirk pulling at his lips.

"Hmm… let's see," he whispered softly in her ear, so close she flinched slightly. "Tell us who you like or… kiss the person next to you."

Nao's eyes went wide. Everyone looked at her.

"Oi oi… what's the challenge?" Blue asked eagerly.

Nao cleared her throat, looking between the circle… and then turned to glare at Kaze.

"I pick…" she paused.

Everyone leaned in.

"I'll eat five spicy chips at once "

She barted.

"Okay, okay," Blue said, cheeks slightly red from laughing too much. "Next!"

It was Damion's turn. He turned to Katherine and whispered something that made her gasp out loud.

"You're sick!" she laughed, slapping his arm.

"What did he say?" Ria leaned in.

"He said I should lick the chocolate off the chip bag and say 'daddy' while doing it!" Katherine burst out, face in her hands.

The whole room howled.

"Are you doing it?" Sato asked, amused.

Katherine looked at everyone, then shrugged, grabbed the bag, and—without hesitation—ran her tongue across the edge of the chocolate-smeared wrapper.

"Daddyyy~" she said in the most exaggerated tone possible.

Everyone collapsed into chaotic laughter.

"Next!!" Blue called, wiping tears from her eyes.

It rolled on… until it landed again on Kaze.

His turn.

His eyes scanned the circle, mischievous and calculated. Then he looked at Ria. She had stopped laughing. Her guard was already up."Kaze…" Ria said slowly, sensing something.

He turned to her, smirked, and leaned in to whisper.

Ria blinked. "What?"

Kaze sat up straight. "I want you, Ria… to kiss —"

He turned his head slightly, "—Sato."

The whole circle *froze.*

Even the music felt like it paused.

Sato's eyes widened. "Huh?"

Ria blinked fast, her face turning red. "What kind of—why him?!"

"It's just a game," Kaze said casually, taking a sip from his disguised can. "Or you can reveal who you *actually* wanted to kiss instead."

"Oh my god!" Blue clapped. "KAZE!"

Ria's eyes flicked between Kaze and Nao. She bit her lower lip and looked away.

Ria looked at Sato. He looked just as stunned.

"Fine," she muttered, getting up on her knees.

"Oh my god, she's doing it," Katherine gasped.

Ria leaned across the circle, gently pressed a quick, awkward kiss on Sato's cheek, then dropped back to her seat covering her face.

Cheers and howling erupted.

"Damn, okay Satoooo!" Damion joked.

Sato blinked like he hadn't processed it yet.

Kaze chuckled softly, but the sharpness in his eyes didn't go unnoticed by Ria.

"You're really playing this game too hard," she whispered under her breath.

He leaned back and glanced at her, but said nothing.

Ria, still covering her face, groaned.

"Kill me now…"

Blue patted her back. "You survived. Respect."

As the next dare began, the atmosphere thickened—jokes hiding glances, laughter cloaking rivalry, and somewhere in between… things were starting to shift.

And just then—

*KNOCK. KNOCK. KNOCK.*

Everyone went *dead silent.*

A voice called from outside:

"ROOM INSPECTION. TEACHER LEE."

*Panic.*
