Chapter 5 - CHAPTER 5:FROM PANIC TO PIZZA CRAVING

Let me head to Caffeine to print my assignment. Errh, I have to submit it fast.

I'm still in a new semester, and last semester's results are yet to be released. Oh God, please help me.

One early morning, I just randomly woke up. I don't even know what pushed me, but something inside whispered, "Check your phone."

Next thing I heard in my head? "Go to your portal and check your results."

The way I panicked... sleep vanished instantly!

But checking it wasn't easy either—my heart was racing, hands shaking. I stared at my phone like it would bite me.

And guess where I finally checked it? Washroom.

Yes ooo, I carried my phone inside and locked myself in there like it was a classified mission. Haha.

When I saw the results, I just froze. I couldn't even express how I was feeling. My roommate looked at me through the mirror like I was mad.

"You dey okay?" she asked. I couldn't even respond.

After the results sank in, I let out a breath I didn't even realize I'd been holding.

Especially the courses I had no hope for—those ones turned out to be my best. God really showed up!

And right now? I don't even know why, but I'm seriously craving pizza and meat—loaded with everything inside. Like, everything!

The stress, the surprises, the joy—my body needs a treat abeg.

I was having a chit-chat with my roommate when I found out we were actually from the same town. That made me so happy—what a small world!

Later on, I headed to the library to study a bit and, of course, to use the Wi-Fi to download some movies as usual.

But one thing I've noticed about my coursemates is the lack of unity. Every day, there's drama—someone arguing with someone else.

Hmmm... that's ladies for you. Well, let me keep quiet.

Sometimes, I honestly feel sorry for us—how we portray ourselves, always in conflict instead of supporting each other. It's sad.

On my way back to the hostel, guess what happened? Huh.

I got there only to find my roommate sleeping on my bed and the door locked!

I called and knocked multiple times before she finally opened. And even that wasn't easy—this girl is really annoying oo, haha!

I was starving seriously. The moment I got inside, I didn't even bother with anything else—I went straight to eat.

If I hadn't, hmm, I don't know what would've happened to me ooo.

After eating, I finally took my bath and dropped onto my bed to rest for the day.

The Next Morning…

Eiii! I have a lecture this morning and I just woke up—errhh!

It's already 7:00 AM and class starts at 7:30. Hmmm, let me bath fast before I end up arriving late.

This school can stress a person oo!

I rushed into the bathroom like I was in an action movie—quick bath, quick brush, didn't even cream my face properly.

By 7:25, I was already walking fast-fast like a soldier heading to war.

Reaching the lecture hall, lucky for me, the lecturer hadn't arrived yet. Phew!

I quickly found a seat and sat down to catch my breath.

Just when I was trying to calm down, boom!

My phone vibrated. I checked the screen and saw a message—from my crush.

Immediately, a smile spread across my face. I couldn't help it.

You know that silly smile you give when someone special texts you? Yeah, that one.

We chatted for a few minutes—nothing too serious, just the usual teasing and catching up. Then we said goodbye, wishing each other a good day.

Not long after, the lecturer walked in, and class began.

One thing I truly appreciate about most of my lecturers is how they take their time to explain things in a way we can understand, not just rush through slides.

They actually want us to learn, and for that—I salute them rufff!

The day moved quickly, and before I knew it, lectures were over. I packed my books and headed straight to the hostel.

By the time I got in, my stomach had already started shouting at me—"Rachy, feed me!"

I didn't waste time. I changed into something light and rushed to the kitchen to cook something small for my belly.

Haha, hunger is not anyone's friend.

Little did I know, the week ahead would test more than my patience—it would test my heart too.
