Chapter 5 - Chapter 4

The next day, late in the afternoon, at a high school, Blam, a nerdy-looking but large young man wearing glasses with his hair in a man bun on top of his head slammed the laboratory door open. His blue eyes narrowed as he saw a beautiful girl lying on a table and a handsome young man on top of her.

When they saw the bulky young man enter, they were both immediately scared and flustered. They separated, and the handsome young man tried to pull up his pants while staring at the nerdy young man in front of him.

"Nash... this isn't what it looks like," the handsome young man said.

"N... no, babe, Ethan was just helping me stretch," the girl said, buttoning her uniform.

Nash was silent and didn't say a single word. He just stared at his friend Ethan and his girlfriend Sophie, who had clearly been making out, even though they were claiming he had seen it all wrong. With a calm, expressionless face, Nash backed up and closed the door. He turned and walked casually down the corridor, his hand balled into a tight fist in his pocket.

Suddenly, Dling... dling... dling, his smartphone rang. A barrage of messages from Ethan and Sophie came in. A moment later, he heard footsteps running in the corridor. Nash kept walking, even though he knew who was running to catch him.

"Babe... Nash... listen to me," Sophie said, pulling his arm from behind.

Nash slowly pulled his arm away, then turned and looked at Sophie, who was much shorter than him.

"I... I can explain everything," Sophie said.

"Five minutes," Nash said calmly.

Sophie started talking so fast that her words ran together. She said that Nash was always working and was rarely home at the apartment, that she was lonely, and that Ethan just happened to be there to comfort her. Ethan listened to her, and before she knew it, things just happened. Nash just folded his arms across his chest and looked at his smartphone.

"Time's up. I'm going to work now. When I get back, I want the apartment empty," Nash said firmly.

"W... what? You're kicking me out? I don't want to break up. We can fix this," Sophie said, trying to grab Nash's hand.

But Nash stepped back, avoiding her hand. He then turned, and before he walked away, he looked back.

"There's nothing to fix. We're done," Nash said bluntly.

"Huh... so that's it... you never fought for me. It's no wonder I moved on to your friend. At least he understands how I feel and treats me like a woman," Sophie shouted angrily, tears streaming down her face.

Nash turned back again, but this time, he gave her a faint smile, and his blue eyes stared at Sophie so sharply that she flinched.

"Thanks. You finally showed me your true colors. We're done. Don't ever try to see me again. I want you gone when I get home," Nash said.

"I... I'm sorry, I was wrong. Forgive me... don't kick me out. Where am I supposed to go?" Sophie asked.

"That's not my problem. Tell your parents to get you a new apartment or ask Ethan. He'll be happy to have you move in with him. I'm leaving," Nash said, turning and walking away, leaving Sophie crying with her face in her hands.

A few hours later, in a heavily guarded building's basement parking garage, "Hit him!" a spectator yelled.

Two fighters were brawling in the center of a crowd of intimidating, heavily tattooed men—gangsters watching their champion fight for control of their business. A large young man with a handsome face and long, sharp, spiky hair. He wore a tight, long-sleeved shirt that revealed his tall, muscular body, stepped forward and he threw a punch.

His opponent, a much larger, more muscular man, blocked it, then retaliated, but the large young man spun his body and delivered a back kick, hitting his opponent right in the stomach. Then, following the spin, he hit his opponent in the face with the back of his hand, sending him to the ground.

After that, he lifted his leg and stomped his heel down on his opponent's head, not lifting his foot and made his opponent struggling.

"Finish him, Nash!" shouted a beautiful woman who looked about 25, wearing a red gown, smoking a cigarette, and with her hair in a bun.

Nash glanced at the woman, then nodded. Crack, he twisted his foot, crushing his opponent's head and neck, his opponent's body went still, his struggling hands falling to his sides. A referee immediately checked Nash's opponent when he lifted his foot and leg. The referee then looked at Nash with a look of horror.

"He's dead," the referee said.

"Okay, thanks for the confirmation," Nash replied coldly.

Tak... tak... tak, the woman, wearing high heels, walked toward Nash. Her footsteps echoed in the basement because everyone was silent after seeing Nash's opponent die in front of him.

The woman stood next to Nash and put a hand on his shoulder. She looked at a man in a pinstripe suit and a fedora in front of her.

"The results are clear, right? Now pull all your men out of my territory," the woman said.

"Grrr... fine. A deal's a deal, but this isn't over," the man in the fedora said, seething, and turned to leave.

A large number of the scary-looking, tattooed men followed the man, who was apparently their leader. The woman looked at Nash, then she put her arms around his neck.

"Carmen, I'm sweaty," Nash said, holding Carmen's arms.

"It's fine. You turn me on. Let's go to my car. I'll give you your money there," Carmen said.

"Alright," Nash replied.

They went straight to a limousine parked in the basement. Once inside, Carmen threw an envelope full of money at Nash. He immediately looked at the contents, then looked at Carmen.

"Hey... why is there so much? This is more than we agreed on," Nash said.

"The extra is for this," Carmen said, pulling up her skirt and spreading her legs wide.

"Ah... okay, I get it," Nash said.

"Pablo, take us straight to our hotel in the red-light district," Carmen said to the driver.

"Yes, ma'am," Pablo replied.

The limo started moving. Carmen shifted and asked Nash to move next to her. After Nash moved, Carmen kissed him passionately. After letting go of the kiss,

"Oh yeah... I almost forgot. Your grandmother gave this to me before she was hospitalized. She asked me to give it to you when you turned 17. Happy belated birthday, by the way," Carmen said, taking a brown envelope with a folder in it that she had accidentally been sitting on.

"Oh... what's this?" Nash asked.

"Just open it. I don't know because I didn't peek. Your uncle also sent this to me and asked me to give it to you," Carmen said, giving him a white envelope.

Without hesitation, Nash took the folder out of the envelope and read his grandmother's will inside. His face showed a little surprise but quickly returned to a blank expression.

"Hmm... so I have siblings," he said to himself.

Then he picked up the white envelope he had placed on top of the folder. He opened it and saw a key and a letter inside. Then he read the letter from Mike that Carmen had been given. After that, he looked at Carmen.

"Carmen, I don't have a job like this on Saturday, do I?" Nash asked.

"No, but you have to work at the casino, right?" Carmen asked.

"I'd like to take the day off and not work at the casino on Saturday," Nash replied.

"Hmm... okay, that's fine. I'll get someone else to do it," Carmen said.

After that, Carmen moved closer and put her arm around Nash again. She kissed him once more passionately and put one of her legs on his thigh. Nash glanced at Carmen, then closed his eyes and thought,

"I have siblings, huh... Grandma never told me about this... but at least I'm not alone. I hope they can accept me for who I am and aren't afraid of me... It feels good to have a family... I thought I was all alone this whole time."
