Chapter 129 - Chapter 130: Invisible Xi Nian

Chapter 130: Invisible Xi Nian

Xi Nian let out a pained grunt as he fell backward onto the bridge pavement. A soft, supple body crashed into his arms, pressing down on his chest so much that his jacket was flattened out of shape.

Squinting against the glaring sunlight, Xi Nian opened his eyes—and froze.

Right before him, in the empty air, strands of golden hair shimmered into reality, gradually becoming visible.

And it wasn't just hair.

A flawless, beautiful face appeared, followed by a delicate collarbone, smooth shoulders, and then a curving back and hips…

Most importantly—there wasn't a single piece of clothing on her.

The mysterious woman who should have been invisible was now revealed in broad daylight, right on top of Xi Nian!

"Ow, ow…" The woman looked about twenty-five years old. Her beauty and figure were top-class, not inferior to any cover model. She carried the refined charm of a city office worker.

At that moment, she still hadn't realized she was completely exposed to Xi Nian's eyes. Her elegant brows furrowed slightly as she tried to push herself up, golden hair sliding naturally down her chest.

Which only revealed more.

Xi Nian's heartbeat quickened, and he hurriedly averted his gaze. But with how close they were, his peripheral vision still caught far too many enticing details, enough to flood him with adrenaline.

This sun was really too bright today.

"Little brother, are you here?"

Xi Nian heard a familiar voice.

Lorna, in black joggers and a white T-shirt, crouched down beside him. She peered curiously at the spot where he had fallen, her bright emerald eyes scanning left and right. But there was no reflection of Xi Nian anywhere.

"I'm right in front of you. Can't you see me?" Xi Nian asked without thinking.

"No. I can't see you, not even your shadow. But I can feel you're right here." Lorna nodded.

Invisible? Even him?

While Xi Nian was still stunned, the invisible woman tried to stand up. But since his hand was still gripping her waist, she lost her balance and fell right back into his arms.

Xi Nian gasped sharply. She wasn't that heavy, but she was a grown woman—dropping down on him like that, his ordinary human body could barely take it.

So this was what they meant by "pain and pleasure combined."

"Let go of me," the invisible woman snapped through clenched teeth.

"I can't." Xi Nian gave a wry smile. "My hand won't release."

He tried again to pull back his left hand, but it was stuck to her waist as though fixed in place. His fingers clutched soft flesh, like suction cups refusing to budge.

It was as if an unseen force connected their bodies together.

"Stop grabbing me!" the woman said in pain. "Just help me stand up."

"Alright."

The invisible Xi Nian and the invisible woman awkwardly got to their feet, careful not to let any other parts of their bodies touch, for fear they'd get stuck too.

But now that she was standing, there was practically nothing left to the imagination in Xi Nian's view.

And with so many people crowded on the bridge, under the golden sunlight, her exposed body was visible for anyone who could see through the invisibility.

This was way too embarrassing!

Xi Nian felt like he couldn't endure much more.

"Susan! Are you over here?"

From the path the crowd had cleared earlier, two men ran over—one in a suit, the other a fashionable young man holding an armful of women's clothes.

"I'm here, next to a black-haired boy," the invisible woman, Susan, called back.

Following her voice, the two men arrived.

"I can't believe you actually made me use my powers like this." Susan's tone carried deep embarrassment as she quickly began taking clothes from the young man, bending slightly to slip them on piece by piece.

Xi Nian turned his body aside.

"Come on, sis, don't complain. We made it here safely, didn't we?" the younger man shrugged. Despite his short-cropped hair, he was tall, handsome, and carried a strong resemblance to Steve Rogers, Captain America.

"Shut up, Johnny. Once was more than enough," Susan growled.

"But you said there was a boy here. I don't see anyone." The man in the suit frowned in confusion.

"How could you not? He's standing right beside you." Susan glanced at Xi Nian as she pulled on a pair of pants—and their eyes met.

The air turned awkward instantly.

After a pause of two seconds, Susan's mouth fell open in shock. "No way. You can see me?!"

Xi Nian blinked and gave a straightforward nod. Apparently, she hadn't heard Lorna earlier.

Susan's mind went blank. She yanked her pants up the rest of the way, then spun around to grab more clothes, her voice flustered and full of shame. "Turn around!"

"I'll try." Xi Nian twisted left, turning his back, though they were still practically pressed back to back.

Hearing his voice, the man in the suit asked, "Susan… is that boy invisible too? And he can see you?"

"Yes, Reed. It must be because of my powers. His hand got stuck to me, and he turned invisible along with me. Somehow, we can see each other while invisible—this is so strange!"

"Wait!" Susan suddenly turned, halfway into a white blouse. She looked at Xi Nian with wide eyes. "How is this possible? You're wearing clothes and carrying a backpack, and you still turned completely invisible?"

That was the final blow to her confidence.

…

When Susan finally finished dressing and released her invisibility, she and Xi Nian reappeared together.

"There really is someone else." Johnny looked at Xi Nian in surprise, then immediately noticed Xi Nian's left hand. It was still under his sister's blouse, gripping her slender waist. Johnny scowled. "Hey, brat! Isn't it about time you let go?!"

Reed didn't know what to say, so he asked Susan, "Can you use your powers to separate now?"

"I can't. I'm still not fully in control of them," Susan admitted, clearly troubled. She could feel it too—this wasn't Xi Nian clinging on purpose. Some kind of energy inside her was acting like a force field, binding them together.

Xi Nian stayed silent.

Because he alone knew the truth.

When he had first touched Susan, it wasn't just physical contact. Their connection had triggered an exchange.

The Master of Affection had activated.

Xi Nian had inherited Susan's physiology and abilities. But since even Susan herself wasn't skilled with them yet, it had resulted in this bizarre situation.

Invisible mode?

No. This was joint invisibility mode.
