Chapter 2 - ERIC AFTER DARK PART 2

Limitless Vice

Episode 2: Blood, Betrayal & Business

The neon lights of Staten Island flickered like broken stars as Eric strutted down the cracked pavement. He'd been reborn less than an hour ago, and already the city was whispering his name. The biker he'd sold to was in the corner of some bathroom stall, snorting himself into oblivion. The girl he'd fucked was probably still shivering with his name on her lips.

Eric? He was just getting started.

The phone pulsed in his palm like a living organ. New notifications lit the screen.

LEVEL: 2

BALANCE: $5

INVENTORY: Basic Drugs [Unlimited]

MISSION: Build Your Crew (Minimum: 2 Members).

REWARD: Access to Safehouse. $500.

Eric exhaled cigarette smoke into the cold night. "Crew, huh? Fine. Let's find some scumbags."

A Bloody Recruitment

He didn't have to search long. Staten Island was crawling with rejects—hungry, broke, desperate motherfuckers who'd do anything for a taste of money or pussy. Eric walked into a different bar, this one reeking of sweat and piss. Pool tables lined the room. Gangs of small-time dealers threw dice in the corner.

Eric slammed his hand down on a table, scattering the game. Everyone turned, annoyed until they saw his eyes.

"I'm looking for killers, thieves, and bastards with nothing to lose," Eric said, voice sharp as broken glass. "If you're looking to play small, keep rolling your dice. But if you want to get rich as fuck, step the fuck up."

The room went quiet. Then one man stood. Tall, scarred, tattoos creeping up his neck. A killer's aura. He smirked.

"You got balls," the man said. "Name's Diesel."

Eric nodded once. "You're in."

Another voice spoke up—this one female. A dancer in ripped stockings, leaning against the bar. She had that dangerous hunger in her eyes, the kind that meant she'd stab you as soon as kiss you.

"Name's Karma," she purred. "I'm in too. But I don't work for free."

Eric smirked. "Good. Neither do I. You'll get paid. You'll get fed. Hell, I'll even fuck you if that's what it takes. But betray me—" His eyes glowed faintly as the phone pulsed. "—and I'll bury you so deep the devil himself won't find you."

Karma licked her lips. "Hot."

The phone buzzed.

CREW BUILT: 2/2 Minimum.

REWARD UNLOCKED: Safehouse Access. +$500.

BALANCE: $505.

Eric grinned. "Now we're talking."

The Safehouse

The phone's map app lit up with a glowing icon. The three of them followed it to a crumbling warehouse near the docks. Inside, the shadows peeled away to reveal something impossible. The run-down shell transformed the moment Eric stepped through the door—walls shifting into sleek steel, neon lights flickering on, tables stacked with weapons, couches, and liquor.

"Holy shit," Diesel muttered.

"Magic," Karma whispered.

Eric smirked. "Not magic. Mine."

The phone pulsed again. New menus unlocked: Crew Management, Drug Distribution, Sex Missions, Black Market Galaxy. Eric felt it all click into place. He was building an empire, one level at a time.

The First Betrayal

They celebrated the night away. Girls from the bar followed them back, drawn like moths to Eric's glow. He barely had to speak—his attractiveness after leveling up had them undressing before he touched them. The warehouse echoed with laughter, music, and sex.

But not everyone celebrated for the same reason.

Diesel was watching Eric too closely. His eyes lingered on the glowing phone, not the girls. By dawn, when the music faded and the others slept, Diesel made his move. He crept toward Eric, knife in hand.

Eric was sprawled on the couch, a girl asleep on his chest, cigarette still between his lips. His phone pulsed as if warning him.

He caught Diesel's wrist mid-stab without even looking.

"You dumb motherfucker," Eric muttered, blowing smoke in his face. "First day on the job and you already trying to rob me?"

Diesel snarled. "That phone… it's power. You don't deserve it."

Eric sat up slowly, eyes glowing brighter. "You're right. I don't deserve it. I own it. Difference is… you'll never get a taste."

With a sick grin, Eric twisted Diesel's wrist until the bones snapped. The knife clattered to the floor. Diesel screamed. Karma stirred awake, watching with cold amusement.

Eric didn't stop. He slammed Diesel's face into the table, over and over, until blood painted the wood. Then he leaned close, whispering venom.

"Remember when I said betray me, I'd bury you? Guess what, bitch? You just dug your own fucking grave."

He snapped Diesel's neck in one swift motion. The phone pulsed approvingly.

BETRAYAL ELIMINATED. +$200.

BALANCE: $705.

Eric tossed Diesel's corpse aside like trash. He looked at Karma. "You still in?"

Karma smiled darkly. "Even more than before. You're beautiful when you kill."

Eric laughed. "Then stick around, baby. We've got worlds to own."

Eric's New High

Later that night, Eric found himself in the safehouse bathroom with Karma pressed against the sink, their moans echoing through the steel walls. She was feral, clawing at his skin, drunk on his power. He fucked her like she was both a prize and a punishment.

The phone pulsed hot in his hand.

SEX MISSION COMPLETE. +1 Level.

LEVEL: 3.

DEAL VALUE: $15 per deal.

Eric looked into the mirror as Karma clung to him, sweat dripping from both their bodies. His reflection grinned back—a sharper jaw, clearer skin, eyes blazing with unnatural light. He was becoming more than human.

Karma gasped. "You're changing."

Eric kissed her neck and whispered against her skin. "I'm evolving."

The Phone's Warning

Afterwards, while Karma slept on the couch, Eric sat alone with his phone. New notifications glowed.

GALAXY MARKET ACCESS GRANTED.

WARNING: Higher-level dealers have noticed your existence. Expect opposition.

Eric smirked, lighting another cigarette. "Good. Let them come. I'll take their girls, their money, and their planets."

He leaned back, smoke swirling around him, eyes fixed on the endless sky beyond the warehouse window.

"This world's mine already. Time to buy the next one."
