Chapter 1 - chapter 1 starting with bulbasuar

The classroom was quiet as the final round of the Viridian City Pokémon Quiz Challenge came to an end.

Alex adjusted his cap nervously, trying to keep a calm facade, the only thing that got him through pokeschool.

"Which Pokémon is known as the Seed Pokémon, and can evolve into a creature capable of absorbing sunlight through its flower?"

He didn't hesitate. He immediately wrote down bulbasaur

The announcer smiled. "With that final question the test has come to an end please put your quizzes in the basket and sit back down until the bell rings.

[1 hour later]

"Alex please come to the office" the principal voice came through an intercom naming me and a few others.

While walking through the halls he saw other students go to the principal office. One was a red haired girl and the other was a white hair girl. They look like they could be twins except for their hair.

"Welcome, students. As you should be aware, the top three students of the test will be rewarded with a starter Pokémon: Bulbasaur, Charmander, and Squirtle."

"With this you will be registered as a trainer and sense this is your last year at pokeschool you will be able to start your journey today if you want but first you must pick your pokemon"

We stand there while the principle bring out a briefcase containing three pokeballs.

The two girls chose the Pokémon that best matched their hair Charmander and Squirtle.

Leaving me with just Bulbasaur

The principle hands us our pokedexes alex releases bulbasur to see scans him

POTENTIAL DARK GOLD [ALLOW POKEMON to level faster and learn move faster]

MOVES SET

novice TAKLE growl vine whip

Alex couldn't stop staring at Bulbasaur its his first pokemon

"Bulba…" the little Pokémon chirped, blinking curiously before hopping onto the floor.

Alex grinned. "It's just you and me now."

"Bulba bulba " bulbasur chirps happily

Alex had been planning his route for a while, and the best path was clear—start with the Boulder Badge, then head for the Cascade Badge. With Bulbasaur, it wouldn't be too hard, especially if he bought the Grass Knot TM. That move would be really useful against the Boulder Gym.

I'll just order it through the Pokédex. It'll cost me all my money, but I can earn it back by training. If I head into the rocky areas and battle Geodudes, Bulbasaur can master the move, and I can even catch a few to sell. Alex grinned at the thought, humming to himself as he confirmed the order.

Five minutes later, the TM arrived.

"Here you go, buddy," Alex said, kneeling down as he held out a small green crystal.

"Bulba! Bulba!"

Green energy wrapped around Bulbasaur, seeping into the bulb on its back. A faint glow pulsed through its body as the knowledge of Grass Knot flowed into it.

Alex stepped back, his excitement barely contained. "Alright, Bulbasaur try it out! Use Grass Knot!"

"Bulbasaur!"

Vines burst up from the floor, snaping the wooden table in half with a loud crack.

Alex winced, rubbing the back of his neck. "Uh… maybe we'll practice outside next time."

The next morning, Alex tightened the straps of his worn backpack and slipped his Pokédex into the side pocket. Bulbasaur padded along beside him, looking up every so often with curious eyes.

Their destination: an abandoned mine just outside Viridian Forest. Perfect chance

"Perfect for us," Alex muttered, brushing dust from his cap as the mine's shadow stretched across the rocky path.

"BULBA BULBA "

" dont worry little guy we have the advantage with grass knot." alex rubs bulbasur head reassuringly.

 "Geodud geodud"

"Go bulbasur and use grass knot"

Green vines came up hitting geodude causing him fall down

' geodude weight is that high but with the 4 time boost as well 50 percent boost from same typing it should do heavy damage'

Geodude get completely overwhelmed geodude despite the level difference

"Geodude geodude" geodude uses rock throw

Geodude roared and hurled a chunk of rock forward, the jagged stone spinning through the air.

"Dodge it, Bulbasaur!" Alex shouted.

"Bulba!" Bulbasaur leapt to the side, the rock smashing into the dirt.

"Now—Grass Knot!"

The ground beneath Geodude erupted. Thick vines shot upward, wrapping around the rocky Pokémon's stubby arms and legs. With a sharp pull, the vines yanked it down hard against the earth.

"Geo…dude…" the wild Pokémon groaned before its eyes rolled back, knocked out cold.

Alex pulled a Poké Ball from his belt and hurled it. "Time to catch it!"

The ball struck Geodude, opened with a flash of red light going into the pokeball it catch instantly

Alex grinned, scooping it up. "Alright! Our first catch!"

But they didn't stop there. With Bulbasaur's advantage the battles went really well so well in fact that bulbsaur level up and grass knot mastery went to the intermediate stage.

Alex flicked open his Pokédex and smiled at the update:

BULBASAUR – LEVEL 10

 New Move Learned: Leech Seed

Grass Knot Mastery: Intermediate

Move set

Beginner tackle growl leach seed

Intermediate grass knot

[intermediate gives 10 percent boost as well give a speed boost]

Alex crouched and patted the little Pokémon's head. "You've gotten stronger already. Not bad for our first day, huh?"

Bulbasaur chirped happily, hopping in place as if to say he was ready for more.

Alex slung his backpack over his shoulder, eyes glinting with determination. "Pewter City Gym doesn't stand a chance."

The ground trembled beneath Alex's feet, pebbles rattling across the dirt path.

"Bulba…?" Bulbasaur looked up nervously, ears twitching.

From the shadows of the mine, a hulking figure emerged its body made of massive boulders stacked together, cracks glowing faintly as it moved.

"Graveler…" it rumbled, eyes narrowing at the intruders.

Alex's hand shot to his Pokédex.

GRAVELER – LEVEL 25

Moves: Rollout [Intermediate], Rock Throw [Intermediate], Explosion [Intermediate]

Alex's stomach dropped. "Level twenty-five?!" He swallowed hard, gripping his pokedex. "With how heavy it is Grass Knot's our only shot."

"Bulbasaur, Grass Knot—NOW!"

"BULBA!"

The ground erupted beneath Graveler, vines twisting upward like a trap. They coiled around its massive body, pulling tight. The sheer weight of Graveler over 200 pounds, turned the attack into a brutal strike, slamming it face-first into the rocky floor.

BOOM! The mine shook as dust exploded outward. Graveler groaned, rocks scattering off its body.

Alex clenched his fists. Super effective, plus the boost that had to do massive damage.

Graveler roared, struggling back to its feet, cracks spiderwebbing across its rocky shell. "GRAV-ELER!"
