Levi stood in the center of the underwater mansion's open hall. His eyes were closed. The air around him was still, as if the ocean itself was holding its breath.
Wiz, Aqua, and Yunyun watched from a short distance behind him.
Levi took a slow breath.
'Now.'
Power surged through his body. Magic rushed along his spine. His black shirt tightened as something pushed outward.
With a sharp burst of blue light—
A pair of massive dragon wings unfolded from his back.
They were beautiful. Long. Elegant. Covered in shimmering scales the color of deep ocean water, glowing softly like moonlight on waves. Drops of water formed in the air and floated around him, drawn to his presence.
Aqua gasped.
Yunyun's jaw dropped.
Wiz's eyes sparkled with pure awe.
Then all three clapped.
Aqua cheered. "So cool!!"
Yunyun nodded rapidly. "A-amazing…!"
Wiz smiled softly. "They suit you, Levi-sama."
Levi opened his eyes.
And instinct kicked in.
He bent his knees and jumped.
The wings moved on their own. One powerful flap — and he shot upward. Water currents spiraled around him as he lifted off the floor and soared toward the high ceiling dome of the mansion.
For a moment, he just flew.
No struggle.
No effort.
Like he had always done this.
He circled the hall once. Twice. Then landed smoothly, wings folding back against his back before vanishing into light.
Levi exhaled.
"…That worked."
Aqua ran up and grabbed his arm.
"Do it again! Carry me! Divine flight tour!"
Levi looked down at her.
"No."
Aqua pouted.
"You're cruel."
Yunyun raised a hand timidly.
"Um… does this mean… you can fly in the surface world too?"
Levi nodded.
"Yeah. As long as I don't mind people screaming."
Wiz giggled quietly.
"That will certainly draw attention."
Levi rubbed the back of his neck.
'Great. New ability unlocked. New problems included.'
Aqua leaned closer, eyes sparkling with mischief.
"So… dragon prince with wings… does this mean dramatic sky rescues are now on the table?"
Levi stared at her.
"…Only if you stop jumping off cliffs to test it."
Aqua froze.
"…No promises."
Yunyun burst into laughter. Wiz covered her mouth, smiling.
Levi sighed.
'Yep.
This was his life now.'
And honestly?
He didn't hate it.
Aqua leaned forward, hands on her hips, eyes shining.
"So… wanna test if you can carry us while flying?"
Levi looked at her.
Then at Wiz.
Then at Yunyun.
Then back at Aqua.
He shrugged.
"Sure."
Aqua blinked.
"…Wait, that worked? No resistance? No dramatic refusal?"
"I already accepted my fate," Levi said calmly.
Aqua cheered. Yunyun panicked. Wiz smiled like she saw this coming ten minutes ago.
Levi spread his wings again. Blue light filled the hall.
"Alright," he said. "Hold on tight."
Aqua immediately jumped onto his back like a backpack.
Wiz stepped closer, graceful as always, arms wrapping lightly around his waist.
Yunyun hesitated… then shyly hugged him from the other side, face red enough to cook rice.
Levi bent his knees and jumped.
One strong flap.
They rose into the air.
Aqua laughed loudly.
"This is amazing! I'm a flying goddess again!"
Yunyun squeaked.
"I-I'm really flying…!"
Wiz rested her chin lightly near Levi's shoulder, calm and warm.
They circled the grand hall. Water currents spiraled around them like ribbons. The mansion's ceiling dome reflected blue light across their faces.
Then—mid-flight—
Aqua leaned forward and kissed Levi on the lips.
Quick. Playful. Bold.
Levi blinked… but kept flying.
A second later, Wiz tilted her head and kissed his cheek… then softly the corner of his lips.
Warm. Gentle. Intentional.
Yunyun froze. Brain buffering. Courage loading.
Then she closed her eyes and gave him the smallest, shyest kiss on the lips.
Levi's flight wavered for half a second.
Not because he lost control.
But because his heart skipped a beat.
They landed smoothly moments later. Wings folded away. The three girls slid off him, faces pink in very different ways.
Aqua looked proud.
Wiz looked serene.
Yunyun looked like she needed holy water and a cold compress.
Levi stood there quietly.
Then he spoke honestly.
"…Yeah. I liked that."
Silence.
Aqua's eyes widened.
Wiz's smile softened.
Yunyun made a tiny squeak and hid behind her staff.
Levi rubbed the back of his neck.
"Anyway. Flight works. Test complete."
Aqua grabbed his arm again.
"We're doing that again later."
Wiz nodded.
"Agreed."
Yunyun whispered.
"…P-please schedule it…"
Levi sighed.
Dragon prince.
Underwater mansion.
Three girlfriends.
And now… flight dates.
'Eris,' he thought.
'What kind of isekai did you drop me into?'
Somewhere, the goddess of luck laughed.
And honestly?
Levi was laughing too.
The next day came.
Dark clouds swallowed the sky over Axel. Wind howled through the streets. Every adventurer in town stood gathered before the main gate, weapons ready, hearts pounding.
At the front, standing atop a stone outcrop beyond the walls—
A headless undead knight in dark grey armor.
Riding a massive black headless horse.
A flaming blue soul-fire burned where his head should be.
Beldia.
One of the Demon King's generals.
Wiz immediately stepped behind Levi, gripping his coat lightly.
"…He is one of the Demon King's generals," she whispered. "Like me."
Levi blinked once.
"Oh."
Then, inside his head:
'Right. This episode.'
And right after that:
'Water weakness. Easy.'
Beldia raised his spectral head, voice echoing across the town.
"For months, some foolish human has repeatedly destroyed my lord's castle walls with explosion magic! Each time I repair it, it is blown apart again! My patience is gone!"
Megumin and Kazuma both slowly looked away in opposite directions.
Beldia continued, voice rising with fury.
"Whoever is responsible, reveal yourself! Or I shall—"
He never finished the sentence.
A blur crossed the field.
A kick slammed into Beldia's armored chest, sending him flying off his horse and skidding across the ground like a thrown tin can.
Dust exploded.
The undead general climbed back to his feet, armor scraping.
He looked up.
Levi stood there, wings spread wide, gunblades drawn. Blue water magic swirled around him. Beside him, his small slime pet bounced in place like a battle-ready jelly bean.
The wind howled. Rain began to fall.
Perfect dramatic timing.
Beldia's soul-flame flickered.
"…Who are you?"
Levi pointed one gunblade at him.
"Leviathan. Half-dragon. Adventurer."
He paused.
"And I really don't like people threatening my town."
Aqua stepped up beside him, divine aura flaring despite the suppression.
Wiz stayed close, eyes sharp.
Yunyun raised her staff, nervous but ready.
Behind the walls, Kazuma whispered to Megumin.
"…Is it bad that I feel relieved I'm not the main character anymore?"
Megumin nodded.
"…Yes."
Beldia mounted his horse again, gripping his massive cursed sword.
"Very well, dragon-blood. I shall—"
Levi cut him off.
"Quick tip. You're undead."
Water gathered at Levi's blades.
"And I'm water-aligned."
Beldia froze.
"…Ah."
Levi's wings flared.
"Let's not waste time."
And with that—
The real fight began.
Wiz grabbed Levi's sleeve, her usually calm voice tight with worry.
"Levi-san… please be careful. He's level thirteen."
Levi paused.
In his head:
'Level 13… yeah, in DnD that's a serious mid-boss.'
Then he smiled.
Out loud:
"Don't worry. I know his weakness."
Wiz blinked.
"…You do?"
Levi pointed one gunblade at Beldia.
"Undead. Heavy armor. Curse-based existence. And most importantly…"
Water gathered around his feet, swirling like a small ocean.
"…weak to holy and water-element purification."
Aqua perked up instantly.
"HEY! That's my thing!"
Levi glanced back.
"You can assist. From behind me. Where it's safe."
Aqua puffed her cheeks, but nodded.
"Fine! But I'm still getting credit!"
Beldia raised his cursed sword. Dark energy poured from it, cracking the ground beneath his horse.
"You dare challenge a general of the Demon King?"
Levi spread his wings.
"Yeah."
Then he vanished.
Agility seventy meant he moved like a blur. He reappeared in front of Beldia, gunblade already swinging.
CLANG!
Steel met cursed metal. Sparks flew. Beldia's horse reared back.
Levi fired point-blank.
"Water Bullet."
A compressed blast of holy-infused water slammed into Beldia's armor. Steam burst outward. The undead general staggered.
Behind them, Yunyun raised her staff.
"Thunderbolt!"
Lightning struck Beldia's shoulder. Armor cracked. Blue soul-fire flickered violently.
Wiz lifted her hand.
"Mass Healing Word."
Warm light wrapped around Levi's party, reinforcing them against curse energy.
Aqua finally stepped forward, hands raised dramatically.
"Turn Undead!"
Golden light poured from her. This time, with Levi's water aura stabilizing the area, it actually worked. Beldia's movements slowed. His curse flame dimmed.
Kazuma, watching from the wall, whispered:
"…This is so much easier than me fighting him."
Megumin nodded.
"…I feel replaced."
Beldia roared, dark mist exploding outward. Levi crossed his blades, water forming a rotating shield.
"Hydro Dragon Roar."
A massive serpentine wave burst forward, shaped like a dragon made of crashing ocean water. It slammed into Beldia, lifted him off his horse, and smashed him into the ground.
Silence.
When the water cleared, Beldia's armor was cracked, his soul-flame flickering weakly.
Levi walked forward calmly.
Gunblade pointed at the general's core.
"You came here to threaten my town."
He leaned slightly forward.
"That was your mistake."
Beldia's voice rasped, unstable.
"…Half-dragon… prince of the deep…"
Levi raised one hand.
"Freeze-Dry."
Instant frost formed. Beldia's cursed core froze solid.
Then—
CRACK.
The undead general shattered into harmless dust, his armor collapsing empty to the ground.
The storm clouds above Axel parted. Sunlight returned.
Everyone stared.
Aqua threw both arms up.
"WE WIN! PRAISE ME!"
Yunyun collapsed to her knees in relief.
Wiz smiled softly, eyes shining.
And Levi simply folded his wings away.
"…Threat eliminated."
Kazuma stared at the empty battlefield.
"…I'm never getting protagonist status back, am I?"
Megumin patted his shoulder.
"…No."
Levi then moved. 'This guys probably has a second life'
Levi stepped closer, just to be sure.
But as the dust settled, blue cursed fire sparked again.
Beldia was still alive.
Cracked armor. Flickering soul. Kneeling.
Beldia lifted his head toward Levi.
"…Please. Spare me."
Levi stared at him. No rage. No hatred. Just calm.
He loaded his gunblade with a soft click.
"I'm going to kill the Demon King," Levi said. "Which means I'm killing all his generals."
He paused.
"…Almost all."
Beldia's flame widened slightly.
Levi raised the gun.
Bang.
Bang.
Bang.
Bang.
Bang.
Holy-water infused bullets tore through the cursed core. The blue flame shattered completely this time, dissolving into harmless motes of light.
Beldia was gone. For good.
Levi spun the gunblade once and slid it back into its holster.
"Done. He's dead."
A chime sounded.
Levi pulled out his Adventurer Card.
Level: 13.
Aqua gasped.
Yunyun's jaw dropped.
Kazuma whispered:
"…He just skipped half the anime."
Wiz smiled, a little proud, a little worried.
And Levi?
He just pocketed the card, like this was another normal day.
But somewhere far away…
The Demon King finally noticed him.
And the game had changed.
In Axel, the whole town celebrated.
It was a victorious day. One of the Demon King's generals had fallen, and everyone drank, laughed, and sang like tomorrow didn't exist.
Inside the guild hall, the noise was deafening.
Luna stood behind the counter, cheeks slightly flushed from excitement and alcohol. Her eyes found Levi across the room.
She walked over.
"You're amazing, Levi," she said softly.
Levi lifted his mug and took a sip of beer. "Thanks, Luna."
Before he could say more, she leaned in and kissed his cheek.
A quick, warm touch.
Levi turned his head toward her, a grin spreading across his face.
"Really? That's as far as you'll go?"
Luna froze, then turned bright red.
"I-I'm still on duty! And there are too many people watching!"
Levi laughed, low and amused.
"You know where I live," he said. "See you later."
Luna nodded quickly, trying—and failing—to hide her excitement.
Even if they didn't go all the way…
Even just cuddling later would be more than enough for her.
Levi stood in front of a large world map in his library, arms crossed, tail twitching in annoyance.
He sighed.
"A hentai world… of course it's right next to Konosuba."
He pinched the bridge of his nose.
"This universe really said: multiverse crossover roulette."
Then he exhaled, shoulders relaxing.
"Fine. I'll go alone."
His eyes sharpened with resolve.
"I'm killing the Black Dogs… and I'm stopping a certain empire before it even starts."
A grin slowly spread across his face.
"…Actually."
He chuckled.
"I've always wanted to shut that storyline down."
His wings shimmered faintly behind him.
"Looks like I finally get to."
Somewhere in the distance, causality trembled.
Genre tags quietly rewrote themselves.
And Wiz, who had been listening from the doorway, whispered softly:
"…Levi-sama looked really cool just now."
Aqua, eating chips:
"I didn't understand anything, but it sounded heroic!"
Yunyun:
"…I'm worried. But also excited."
And Levi?
Levi was already planning war.
The next day came.
Aqua pouted, cheeks puffed as she looked at Levi.
"Why can't we come with you to Eostia?"
Levi gently patted her head, then looked at his party.
"It's a personal matter. Until I return, you three stay safe in Axel. I'll be back in a few days."
Wiz lowered her eyes slightly, but smiled.
"…Understood, Levi-sama. Please be careful."
Yunyun nodded quickly.
"I-I'll keep training while you're gone! So I won't fall behind!"
Aqua crossed her arms.
"If you're gone too long, I'm raiding your vault for emotional compensation."
Levi deadpanned.
"The vault is dragon-coded. Even you can't steal from me."
Aqua gasped.
"…I'll find a way."
And with that, Levi spread his wings, wind rushing through the courtyard, and launched into the sky — heading straight toward a world that absolutely should not exist next to Axel.
