Chapter 2 - Chapter 1 ( the beginning

CHAPTER

1

The wind blew softly, as if the world was

at peace—yet there I was, chained in a dark room, unsure of how I'd gotten

there. All I ever wanted was a normal life, but what I got was far from it.

When did it all begin? Or better still—how

did I end up in such deep trouble?

We were once a happy family: my parents, my

little brother, and I. Life was simple, filled with warmth and laughter. Until

the day a letter arrived—sealed with a bold letter "H". I heard them

whisper it was from the HIVE.

After that, everything changed.

My parents started fighting—endlessly. At

first, I thought it was normal. Couples argue, right? But this felt different.

Every night, their voices rose in anger, and I would hear my mother repeat the

same words over and over: *"I won't let them take my babies from me."*

I didn't understand what she meant. I was

only seven. The world still felt safe to me.

Then came my eighth birthday—July 8th,

2015. I remember the cake, the candles, the warmth. I was about to make a wish

when a knock echoed through the house. Three men dressed in black stood at the

door. My father grabbed his jacket, kissed my forehead, and left with them.

He never returned.

The museum trip he promised never happened.

That day was the last time I saw him.

The very next morning, my mother packed our

things and moved us to Windwale City. It felt like we were running—from what, I

didn't know. But we never looked back.

Now, ten years later... everything makes

sense.

"Shine, wake up!" my younger brother,

James, called out. "Mom's waiting for you at the restaurant," he added. "She

said to hurry!"

"Okay, okay—I'm up!" I groaned, rubbing my

eyes.

Life had gone on, like nothing ever

happened. Windwale became home, and I made new friends, started over. After

getting ready for the day ahead, my phone rang. It was Claire.

(Phone ringing)

"Shine!" she snapped. "Where the hell are

you? Don't tell me you're skipping class again?"

"No, silly!" I laughed. "I just need to

check on Mom at the restaurant. Don't worry, I'll make it to lectures. Besides,

Mr. Grumpy Pants is teaching today—I'd rather not end up on his blacklist."

"At least you're learning," Claire

muttered, then hung up.

*At the restaurant:*

"Good morning, Mom," I greeted as I walked

in. "How was your night?"

"It was great, baby," she smiled. "I made

breakfast—it's in the kitchen. I packed some for James too, but he wouldn't

eat. I hope he's okay and not being bullied again. Keep an eye on him for me,

alright? Take this to his school and make sure he gets it."

*"Seriously, Mom? Now I have to

babysit him at school too?"* I grumbled. "I have a life, you know."

---

*At James' School*

I went straight to James' school to drop

off his lunch, just like Mom asked. But when I got to his classroom, he wasn't

there.

"Where could he be?" I muttered,

scanning the hallway.

Just then, a girl about James' age

approached me. Her voice was soft, almost timid.

"Hi… are you James' sister?" she asked.

"Yes, I am. Have you seen him? I've been

looking all over."

She leaned in and whispered, "He's behind

the boys' restroom. Hurry. He's not safe."

Before I could ask more, she ran off.

Alarmed, I rushed to the back of the

building. There, I found James surrounded by a group of boys—his classmates.

Peter, the school's infamous bully, towered over him.

Peter smirked and stomped on James' foot.

"Oops! Sorry, loser. How's your mama, huh? Still clinging to her skirts?"

His gang burst out laughing. James clenched

his fists. "Leave me alone! I did what you asked—why can't you just leave me

be? You promised!"

Peter leaned in, cruel amusement in his

eyes. "Where's the fun in that? Now take off your trousers. Let's see if you're

a man or just another pathetic little boy."

I'd seen enough—and thankfully, I'd

recorded everything on my phone.

I stepped out and said loudly, "Hey,

losers."

They all turned, surprised.

"I know bullying classmates is your idea of

fun. Well, guess what? Beating up trash like you happens to be mine."

They stiffened, but I continued, "Let's not

resort to violence today. You've got two choices: one, stay away from James. Or

two, try him again, and I swear I'll show the whole world what you really are.

I have it all on video. And trust me—I *will* post it."

Their faces paled. Without another word,

they took off.

I turned to James, concern flooding my

voice. "Why didn't you tell me this was happening? Are you okay? What did they

make you do?"

He didn't answer at first. His eyes were

full of sadness.

"I reported it," he finally said. "To my

teacher. She told the principal… but he laughed. Said it's just how kids play.

He didn't care—Peter's dad is rich."

I handed him the lunch. "Go back to class.

I'll handle this."

Then I stormed straight to the principal's office.

I played the video and looked him dead in the eye.

"If anyone lays a finger on my brother

again, I will make sure everyone knows your school is unsafe and unfair. You

have one chance to fix this."

He didn't say a word—but from the look on

his face, he got the message.

*Later that day*

From that day forward, no one dared to

touch James. They were scared of him. Or rather… of me.

"Thanks, big sis," James said with a grin.

"You're the best."

"It's okay," I replied, ruffling his hair.

"But never let anyone bully you again. Fight back. Hit harder. And do me a

favor… don't tell Mom."

James laughed. "I got you, sis."

Then I glanced at the time. "Oh no. I'm

late! That lecturer is going to kill me…"

I turned on my heels and dashed out. *To

the university.*

"

Luckily I got to the university, just in time , the

lecturer came in right after me , Claire said to me where were you? your late, I replied with a smile , sorry an emergency came up at James school , the lecturer called for everyone's attention ,and he began the

lectures,

Mean while at HIVE palace

The Queen sat regally in the throne room,

surrounded by five elderly men, their white hair symbolizing age and wisdom.

Her voice echoed through the chamber in fury.

*"You fools! You still haven't found Bell

and her children? Am I surrounded by incompetence? I need them

found—*immediately!* Or must I do it myself?"*

One of the elders stepped forward, speaking

calmly but firmly.

*"Your Majesty,"* Elder One began, *"these

things take time. And may I ask—why such urgency? There are others fit to

succeed you when the time comes."*

Elder Two added gently, *"Indeed, Your

Majesty. You've ruled wisely for forty-five years. Perhaps it's time to pass

the mantle to the younger generation."*

*"Silence!"* the Queen snapped, rising from

her seat. Her eyes blazed with fury.

*"How *dare* you question me? What if my

sister's granddaughter comes of age and claims the throne? She carries the

heir's blood—*true royal blood!* She is a threat, just like the rest of them.

They *must* be eliminated."*

Before anyone could respond, a royal guard

entered the chamber and knelt.

*"Pardon the interruption, Your Majesty,"*

he said. *"We've located them—in Windwale City."*

The Queen's expression shifted into a

wicked smile.

*"Finally,"* she whispered. *"Bring them to

me."*

*Chapter 2*

( strange visitors )

*After Lectures – Outside the University*

"Ugh, Shine, today was *exhausting*,"

Claire groaned, stretching her arms. "But can we talk about the way you and

Daniel were eyeing each other in class? Girl—just date him already! What's

holding you back?"

I rolled my eyes with a slight smile. "I

don't need that kind of distraction right now. I'm focused on my grades—I need

to keep them up. Besides, I'm not even sure he likes me. He could just be

looking for someone to play around with."

Claire gave me a playful shove. "You'll

never know if you don't give it a chance. Come on, live a little!"

She glanced at the time. "Oh no, it's

getting late. I better head home before I get spanked."

I laughed. "Claire, you're way too grown

for that."

She grinned. "Not in a Nigerian home, babe.

See you tomorrow!"

*At My Mom's Restaurant...*

"I'm back!" I announced.

"Welcome, Shine," Mom replied warmly. "And

I heard what you did for your brother."

"I'm sorry, Mom. It won't happen again," I

said earnestly.

She smiled. "It's alright. I'm proud of

you. Now, let's get to work—customers are waiting."

Business was flourishing as usual, but the

atmosphere shifted when three oddly dressed men entered. I whispered, "Who

wears suits in summer?" They took some empty seats.

I approached them with menus. "Welcome to

Bell's, where the best are served. What would you like to order?"

They browsed silently before the first man

spoke. His name, Hay Jones, was embroidered on the upper left of his impeccably

tailored suit. "We'd like to speak with the chef. We want something special—off

the menu," he said smoothly. "In other words, we want to discuss business."

"Alright," I replied. "She'll be right with

you."

I hurried to tell Mom. "Some people want to

talk business with you."

"Business?" she asked, hopeful. She quickly

made her way to meet them.

Typical Mom, I thought, smiling. But when

she laid eyes on the men, I noticed a sudden look of shock on her face.

---

After a long conversation with those

strange men, Mom's mood shifted. Fear was written all over her face, and she

began dropping things accidentally. She called me into her room, motioned for

me to sit, and said, "Shine, listen carefully. We need to leave—they're coming

for us."

"Mom! I don't understand. Why are we

leaving all of a sudden? What's happening? Please, talk to me," I pleaded.

"Shine, listen," she said softly, "we have

to go."

"Why, Mom? What's going on? Who were those

men? It's obvious you know them, that's why you're acting this way," I pressed.

She sighed deeply. "I called your uncle.

He's coming to take you and James. He'll keep you both safe. You must listen to

him at all times.

---

"Mom, stop! You're scaring me," I yelled.

"What really happened to Dad that day? This feels just like when we had to flee

Brake Hills—someone knocks, and suddenly we're running. Why did he leave

without us? Why did Dad abandon us? Mom, please, I need answers."."

Chapter 3 ( run)

Mom took a deep breath and said, "I know

you might not believe me, but you have to listen—things aren't always what they

seem. Your dad and I come from a hidden world called the Hive."

I interrupted, "Mom, everyone knows the

Hive is the wealthiest security organization in the world. They protect the

richest and most powerful people, even the president. What does that have to do

with what I asked?"

She looked at me seriously. "Physically, it

may seem like just an organization. But beyond what the eyes can see, there's

another world beneath it—a world not on any map. The Hive isn't just a building

with the best-trained men. There's more. The men manage the outside world's

business, while the Queen rules from within."

She continued, "It was once our home—a

place of wonder and beauty. But it became hell for your father and me. Your

father worked for the outside world, and I was a rebellious princess who often

ventured beyond the Hive, even when forbidden. Then I met your father. We fell

in love, but my mother forbade our relationship. That sparked the war." Mom's

voice grew heavy. "The battle began the day I was to be crowned Queen. My

mother died mysteriously, and the council blamed me and your father, accusing

us of using the Book of Demons to cast spells against them. We were banished,

and my mother's sister took the crown. Now, she's after you."

"Why?" I asked.

"Because you carry the blood of the heir,"

Mom said quietly.

"What about Dad?" I pressed.

"He might still be alive," she replied.

"Might?" I shot back, rising in anger.

"Really, Mom? You're telling me this now? I don't believe you—you're lying!" I

exclaimed.

"I don't have time to argue," Mom replied,

her voice firm. "Listen carefully—I need to tell you something important."

Suddenly, gunshots rang out nearby. We

rushed to see what was happening when a man burst into the house, shouting,

"Time to go!"

Mom hurried to James's room to wake him.

"Mom? What's happening?" James asked, rubbing his eyes.

"It's okay. Go with your uncle," Mom said

urgently.

"But what about you?" I asked, panic rising

in my throat.

"I'll be fine. Just keep your brother safe.

Get in the car," she commanded.

As we climbed into the car, Mom whispered

something to Uncle. They embraced briefly before he started the engine, ready

to drive off.

Mom gave me a warm hug and said, "Don't

forget who you are."

Then—a sharp, unforgiving gunshot echoed.

Mom collapsed, blood blossoming across her

dress.

In an instant, Uncle slammed his foot on

the gas.

My chest tightened, breath caught, heart

pounding. The world spun, darkness swallowed me—and then, nothing.

Chapter 4 ( A strange place called home)

I opened my eyes and found myself in a

strange room. My uncle was there beside me.

"She's awake," the nurse said softly.

"That's good news," he replied.

I tried to rise, but the moment I moved,

the memories crashed back—the gunshot, Mom's fall, her blood. The flash of it

froze me in place, fear gripping my chest like ice.

"Mom is hurt!" I cried, scrambling to sit

up.

"Easy, dear. Your mom is fine," he

comforted. "They can't kill her. She was taken by the demon warriors."

"Demon warriors? Who—or what—are you

talking about?" I asked, confused and scared.

"Don't worry, I'll explain everything. But

you need to rest first," he urged.

"How can I rest when Mom is in danger? How

can I help get her back? And James—where is he? Is he safe?" I demanded.

"He's safe. It's best you don't know where

he is right now," he answered gently. "Rest for now, Shine. There's a lot you

need to understand—and a big role you must play to save the Hive."

At the hive royal palace

The five elders grew increasingly impatient

in the throne room. It had been an hour since the meeting was to begin, yet the

queen was still absent.

"Where is she? Isn't she coming?" Elder 1

asked sharply.

Elder 2 replied, "There must be a delay.

Let's be patient."

Elder 4 warned, "You know how the queen

is—better not to anger her with your words."

"I've heard she sees and hears everything,"

Elder 5 added cautiously.

Elder 3 remained silent, lost in thought,

aware of what was about to unfold.

Suddenly, Fame, the royal announcer,

proclaimed, "Her Majesty the Queen is arriving at the throne room."

It was, after all, his only job—and one he

took great pride in.

The elders rose and bowed deeply as the

queen entered. When she took her seat, they followed suit.

"I have called this meeting to inform you

that I have recruited the demon warriors to join forces with the Hive

military," she declared.

Shock rippled through the room. "What?" one

elder exclaimed.

"But, my queen," Elder 2 protested, "the

demon warriors are infamous for their evil and deceitful nature. The Hive has

been at war with them for decades."

"Please, Your Majesty, don't do this,"

Elder 3 urged. "The Hive will face great peril if the demon warriors become

part of it."

Elder 4 added gravely, "They practice demon

magic. It could corrupt the very heart of the Hive and undo everything our

ancestors built. Think carefully, my queen."

All voices rose in opposition, but the

queen silenced them with a sharp command: "SILENCE! Their power will secure my

reign forever. Nothing else matters."

Outside the palace after the meeting

Elder 3 was greatly displeased with the queens

decision , he murmured all the way home,

I need to call the hive military if the demon warriors are recruited it means war

.

Chapter5 ( the school)

At the Hive Military Headquarters,

Commissioner Jane received a call.

"Commissioner Jane, we have an urgent call

from the South. It's John, the son of Elder 3," the officer reported.

"Is it Elder 3 himself?" Jane asked.

"Yes, sir John replied.

"Put him through. You're dismissed," she ordered.

John saluted and left.

Once inside the call room, Commissioner

Jane answered, "Elder 3, hello. Is something wrong?"

Elder 3 then proceeded to explain the

situation in full.

 At

the recruitment ground

A man entered the room and said, "Chief,

the Commissioner wants to speak with you."

Without hesitation, the Chief hurried to

the call room—a space dominated by a massive screen, the most advanced

communication system in the Hive.

"Hello, Commissioner," the Chief

greeted.

The Commissioner's voice came through

clearly. "Sam, training starts tomorrow. The Queen is recruiting the Demon

Warriors. You know what that means."

"Yes, sir. I'm fully aware," Sam

replied.

"Get the new recruits ready. And prepare

that girl—if she truly has the heir's blood, we need her now more than

ever."

"Yes, sir. I'll make sure she's ready. You

can count on me."

"Remember, Sam, the fate of the Hive rests

in your hands."

"We won't let you down, Commander," Sam

assured.

Later that day

Her uncle gently roused her from sleep,

calling her name softly.

"Time to wake up."

She stirred and mumbled, "Mom… is that

you?"

"No, it's me," he replied quietly. "We

don't have much time."

She sat up slowly. "What's going on?"

"We begin your training tomorrow," he said

firmly.

"Training? For what, Uncle?" she asked,

confused.

"You're joining the Hive military," he

answered. "It's the only way to save your mother."

She nodded, determination settling in her

eyes. "Then I'm ready."

The next day at the hive military training

academy

The entire student body comprising, both

old and new student convened at the assembly ground . They were positioned ,

based on their ranks/seniority

---

"Good morning, recruits and returning

students. Welcome to another academic session at the Hive Military Training

Academy. For those who don't know me, I am Inspector Fave.

Newly recruited personnel will remain in

their current positions; the rest may leave. As you know, you are training to

be soldiers. There is no room for weakness or bullying—anyone caught breaking

military rules can be expelled. You are expected to learn all 200 rules by next

week.

Also, let me be clear: we do not tolerate

sorcery or witchcraft. Anyone found practicing these will be sent home.

However, many of you have special abilities—some with dangerous powers—and we

are here to help you control them. There are books in the library that can

teach you more about your powers once you learn what they are."

"Them?" I asked. "Can there be more than

one?"

"Yes," Inspector Fave replied.

"One more thing—our training is divided

into levels 1 to 5. You must pass levels 1 through 4 to become a soldier.

You'll notice a badge on your uniform shaped like a phoenix, symbolizing your

progress.

If you have one badge, it means you're in

Class One. You can't fake it—passing your exams will automatically add the next

badge. If you fail, the badge will disappear, and you'll be sent home, even if

you've reached Class Five.

By the way, we haven't had a Class Five

graduate in eight years—most finish at Class Four. Good luck, everyone.

Training begins now! Everyone to the training ground!"

Chapter 6 ( the elements)

At the training ground

"Good day, everyone. I am Inspector Peace,

and along with the other inspector, we will be teaching you how to control

nature's elements—water, air, earth, and fire. Training begins now. Take a cup,

fill it with water, and stand in any circle of your choice. The rest will be

provided for you. Move, everyone."

Once everyone was settled, the inspectors

demonstrated the exercises. "Pay close attention," they instructed. In front of

the inspectors were representations of fire, water, earth, and air: a candle

flame, a cup of water, a rock, and a balloon filled with heavy air—that's why

it didn't move.

"This training will help you defend

yourself if your weapon is taken," they explained.

Each circle had a table with these items.

The assignment was to:

- Remove the water from the cup without

touching it

- Enlarge the fire

- Make the stone float like a balloon

- Extract the air from the balloon without

popping it

"What? That's impossible! Do they think

we're magicians? What is this? I've got to get out of here. These people are

crazy. I think I'll have to save Mom on my own," I thought to myself.

Let's introduce you all to the elements and remember don't just control . Be one with it

 Fire

is the element of power . To be one with it, you must have the desire, will , energy and

drive to achieve what you want . As inspector peace spoke the fire responded, not

with chaos , but with eerie grace, flickering with rhythm . It slithered upward

, bending to her will as though it knew her, without a word she guided it, and

the flams slowly twisted into the shape of a radiant , blazing bird that hovered in the air wings flickering, eyes glowing fierce and majestic . OMG is that a bird I asked , It's a phoenix a voice from behind answered , hi my name is Luna

she said , am shine I replied . That all

for fire the inspector said , and the fire went bak to its original form, did

she just made a phoenix out of a candle flame I asked . yes she did, Luna answered

.

Next earth, inspector fave will

demonstrate. Earth is the element of substance . To be one with it you have to be diverse and strong . Persistent and

enduring . As she spoke her voice echoed through the air , the rock began to

stir , rotating slowly at first , then faster, as if drawn by her words . The

movement deliberate and unnatural . The silence thickened , broken only by a thunderous crack . As it

suddenly broke into 3 distinct pieces , leaving us breathless with anticipation

. Suddenly , I started seeing things. I

saw a woman in chains crying for help, I came back to reality when Luna tapped

my shoulder, shine are you ok? She asked. Am fine Luna i replied.

Next Air ,inspector steel will demonstrate.

Air is the element of freedom to be one with it you have to detach yourselves from

worldly concerns. And find peace and

freedom , as he spoke the balloon deflated with a sharp hiss . But the escaped

air didn't scatter, it gathered ,

swirling upward with a tightening spiral. The wind grew fierce , rising higher

and higher, until it formed a small tornado . Spinning dangerously above the

school . It hovered there . Trembling on

the edge of chaos, yet never touched a

single tile below. .

Lastly water inspector Nina will

demonstrate, water is the element of change, to be one with it you should be

capable of adapting to many things . As he spoke the water surge from the cup ,

not spilling but pulling itself together with fierce energy . It twisted upward gaining

speed and shape, until it rose before us, a rising wave silent yet threatening

as if it could crash down at any moment . We didn't move. We couldn't . The

inspector added If you concentrate more you might make it rain, it's now your

turn. Remember if want to use this elements you must act like them.

Many failed some was able to

raise a drop of water , few attempted and got half of it right , but no one was

able to control Earth and fire

Ok everyone let's take a short break we will be back in an hour inspector fave said , what a

relief they murmured ,everyone was so

tired,

 Mean

while at the inspectors meeting

"Chief, are you sure she's the one? She

couldn't even control water—the simplest element of all," Inspector Peace said.

Inspector James replied, "Come on, she just

got here. Let's take things slow, please."

Inspector Nona added, "But we don't have

much time. The queen will sign the contract in three months. Can we get them

fully ready by then?"

The Chief finally spoke, "It's fine,

everyone. We'll make it work."

Chapter 7 the discovery

At the training ground

I sat quietly, trying to figure out how it

worked when Boone and her friends approached me. "I heard you have the heir's

blood, but you couldn't even manage water—the simplest element of all," Boone

sneered. The girls burst into laughter.

"Leave me alone, I'm trying to

concentrate," I demanded.

From afar, my uncle watched closely.

"Chief, should I stop them from bullying your niece?" he asked.

"No, don't do anything," my uncle replied.

"Let her fight for herself."

Boone didn't stop. After being ignored, she

said something that cut deep and really upset me.

"I heard your mom killed her mother with

demon magic, and now she's dead because of you. What a messed-up family."

Anger flared inside me, but I just wanted

to leave. Suddenly, Boone pushed me, and I fell hard to the ground. Her words

ignited a storm of fury within me.

In that instant, the elements obeyed. Water

surged, air howled and rumbled, fire roared. They swirled together in a

blinding flash, forming a massive bird of raw elemental force.

With a piercing cry, it launched itself at

Boone and her friends, wings spread wide, fury unleashed.

But just as it closed in, a group of

inspectors appeared, shielding them in the final heartbeat before impact.

The inspectors held another meeting

Inspector Nina Boones mother spoke, she's

dangerous we almost got hurt trying to save those kids she attacked .

 Chief

Sam answered" she was provoked I myself was there , you should teach that child of yours how to

stop saying things she shouldn't, but I blame you" chief added .

" You told a false tale to your child,

knowing it was false, you should be punished "

 ,

inspector Nina responded "sorry chief it won't happen again". The chief said"

and Boone will apologize to shine for

bringing her mom's story up ,am I clear?' , Yes chief , inspector Nina answered

Inspector Joy spoke up, "Chief, now we know

she really has the heir's blood. She's still in Class One, but what she

did—most of us only learned that in Class Three."

"That's true, sir," Inspector Peace added.

"I also mastered that in Class Three. Should we upgrade her to Class Three

now?"

The Chief replied firmly, "No, not yet. She

still doesn't know how to control it. She has a lot to learn."

Inspector Cane interrupted, "Chief, I just

received a message from the Commander. The queen will sign the contract in two

months."

"Wait, I thought you said three months,"

the Chief asked, surprised.

"I thought so too, but they've moved the

date up," Cane confirmed.

The Chief nodded. "What do we do now?"

"We wait," the Chief said firmly. "She

won't sign without the commencement ceremony for the new defense force."

At the Hive Queen's palace

(The Queen is in a meeting with Elders)

---

Elder 5 spoke up, "Your Majesty, please

think about this deeply. It's not right."

Elder 3 added, "My queen, we are here to

serve you, but you didn't even ask for our advice before making such a

decision."

The Queen snapped, "I am the queen! I don't

need advice from any of you. I don't even know why I have you all—you're

useless!" she yelled. "All of you, leave! I have a meeting with the Commander

of the Demon Army now. Come on, old men—leave!"

They reluctantly stood and exited.

A voice announced, "Your Majesty, the

Commander of the Demons has arrived."

"Send him in," the Queen replied.

The Commander entered, his face hidden

behind a mask. He sat down and said, "Long live the Queen."

The Queen eyed him and said, "You look

rather young for a Commander."

He answered calmly, "I am a thousand years

old. An immortal never ages, my Queen."

"Never mind," she said. "Do you have the

woman with you?"

He smirked, "Yes, we do."

"Any concerns?" she asked.

"Nothing to be concerned about, my Queen,"

he replied. He answered, "You can reign

forever, but your spirit must change hosts every hundred years—transferring

into a younger body. And we have the perfect body for you to begin with."

The Queen's eyes lit up. "That sounds fun—I

can't wait."

At the Hive military training academy

The bells rang, signaling the start of Hive

history class.

"Good day, everyone. I am Teacher Denise,

and today we'll be learning about the history of the Hive," she began.

"A long time ago, we lived in peace with

the demon people in the spirit world . Our life force was the phoenix tree —an

ancient, powerful relic that fueled the entire island. Every child born then

was gifted a phoenix companion.

"With the Phoenix's power, we won many wars

and expanded our territory. The magic of the Phoenix allowed us to control all

four elements at once, making us the most powerful tribe to ever exist.

"But this power angered the Demon King. He

began to wield dark magic, which grew so intense it transformed into what we

now call demon magic.

"Because of the constant use of demon

magic, the Phoenix tree started to weaken—light and darkness cannot coexist.

One must give way.

"The demon magic grew stronger while the

Phoenix tree grew sick, as its people

failed to protect it, using its power for selfish gain. "Bit by bit, the

phoenixes on the island began to disappear, not just the phoenix's but every

other ancient creature until only one remained—mimosa . Using the last of her

strength, she transported us to the

physical world, leaving our home behind for the demon kingdom, what was left of

her was the egg she laid before she died . It became the hives life's force ,

and it hasn't hatched till date ."

As civilization hit the Earth and humans started fighting each other , building homes and factories . It became hard to hide our existence , we

made an agreement with the men in power then , they agreed to keep our secret

if we fight with them , we won the First World War with them , and made an

organization called the Hive , an ordinary man will see it as a company, only

very few humans knows about us, we hid many things, so the outward world would not know about our

existence . We created a portal that can take you to the outside world or the

inside, so those in the inside world can

be ourselves And yes the Phoenix egg is still with us at the center of the hive

. Remember everyone no one knows the

real story of how we became the hive

Any questions the teacher asked, Luna raised her hand , yes Luna what's

your question this time , thank you for letting

me speak again , so what type of business do the hive, sorry the outside world

do , Luna asked , it's a security agency the teacher answered. It's an

organization that provides security services . Hive is a private organization that provides security to men of

power , that's all the outside world knows about us.

We make sure the demon don't get

to the outside world, in other words we fight their unseen battles.

Chapter 8 (him)

"As some of you know, when a child is born,

they receive a gift from the Phoenix Egg on their eighth day. After those eight

days, you'll discover what you were born to be—the role you must play in the

Hive.

"Some are gifted a tattoo of a phoenix—this

marks them as healers. Their duty is to serve not only the Queen at the palace

but everyone. Healers can also serve in the Hive military as medics.

"If you are born with gray-colored hair, it

means you're a seer, gifted with the rare ability to see the future. Seers are

extremely rare, appearing only once every twenty years.

"A tattoo of a shield marks you as a

protector—born to serve in the Hive military regardless of your family

background.

"If you are born with pointy ears, you are

a noble. Nobles are natural leaders, destined to lead. Many become chiefs,

elders, and some even become Queen.

"Next are the People of Nature, gifted with

the Phoenix Flute. They can call upon the spirit of the Phoenix for guidance at

any time. The Phoenix always answers, but no one has seen it for a very long

time.

The bells rang, class dismissed see you all next week ,

Shine! Luna my classmate called

to me , what is it Luna i asked , do u

want to join me at the library ? I don't

know Luna , am exhausted I replied , come on

let's go see history , ok Luna let's go

As we approached the library I heard a sound of music, "uhh Luna where's

that sound coming from" I asked

, oh that's the music room she answered,

 "

wait we have a music room in this school? Really!

Yes we do Luna answered, I want to check it out , ok shine when your

done, meet us at the library it's just

the next building .

will do I replied

"As I enter into the music room , the sound didn't

just echo , it seeped into me, like a living force I could feel each note

stir the air , brushing against my soul , yet the true enchantment wasn't the

melody, it was him tall light skinned and radiant a quiet fire, he played the

keyboard as if conjuring a spell , the

room felt charged like the music and the guy is one. When he saw me he stop,

smiled and said .

"Hi welcome, my name is Blake".

I replied "nice to meet you Blake, am shine.

I Know he said "everyone knows you ever since the incident with Boone ,you became

famous " .

 I replied

" ohh it was an accident

 "It's fine" he

responded and went back to playing the keyboard.

Why does the academy has a music room? I asked .

He answered "it's because music

has its own power , you can use it to control

your emotions, if your too angry

it might affect your powers, so music calms the mind , and help you concentrate,

so you want to try" he asked .

 "Yeah

why not" . I sat with him and we spent

the whole day together but, it wasn't

enough, I wanted more . That was one of

my best moments at the academy,

The next day at history class

I was lost in thoughts thinking about blake

,come to think of it I have never seen him before , what class is he in ,

Shine! my teacher called to me,

yes ma'am I answered.

"Are you sure

your part of this class " She asked

"Yes I am" I said

"what was I saying then" .

"Sorry, ma'am, I didn't catch that last

part," I said.

"Okay, I'll repeat," the teacher replied.

"Class One will be teaming up with Class Three for a special assignment. It

will take place at the White Garden."

A hush fell over the room. Everyone looked

shocked and a little afraid, but I didn't understand why. I had a feeling I was

about to find out.

"Everyone, move to the assembly ground

now," the teacher ordered.

---

At the assembly grounds, Class Three was

already gathered. Class One quickly assembled as well.

"Time to team up," the teacher announced.

"If you pick the same number, that's your teammate."

I picked number 35 and tried to find my partner.

With nearly 200 people here, it was hard—until someone found me instead.

"OMG, it's Blake!" I exclaimed.

"Blake, how did we end up with the same

number?" I asked.

"We didn't," he smirked. "I pulled a few

strings—I know a lot of people."

"You cheated?" I accused.

"Nice to see you again," I added.

"Time for classes, Missy. We'll talk

later," Blake said, then walked away.

Chapter 9(the keeper)

 The

white garden :

At the entrance of the White Garden, I

overheard whispers—scary stories about the garden keeper. They said he was a

beast.

"Gather around, students! You're about to

have the time of your life," Inspector Fave announced.

"But Inspector, what is the assignment?" a

student asked.

"We'll find out from the garden keeper,"

she replied.

"But where is the garden keeper?" the

student pressed again.

"Hmmm, let's find out," Inspector Fave said

as we stepped inside.

We entered in pairs—two individuals per team.

We were the first batch to go in, ten teams in total, making twenty students

inside the garden.

The garden was huge, filled with all kinds

of animals—wild and domestic—roaming freely, seemingly unbothered by our

presence.

Suddenly, a massive eagle swooped down from

the sky. Its eyes locked on a tiny chick that had strayed from its mother.

Danger shimmered in the air—I felt it deep in my bones. I couldn't let fate

decide this way.

I told Drake to cover me just as my uncle

arrived. I stepped forward to intervene, but the eagle spotted me. With a

screech that split the air, it turned, talons bared, ready to strike. Instinct

took over—I had no choice but to fight back. I tried to use the four elements,

but being new, it was ineffective.

Everyone was stunned by how I managed the

situation. Drake wanted to help, but my uncle told him to back off.

The battle intensified. The eagle knocked

me down badly. I tried the elements again—still no success. I was completely

defeated.

Then, the eagle created a strong fireball

and launched it at me. Suddenly, fire, earth, air, and water merged into a

powerful phoenix-shaped force. It stopped the attack and charged at the eagle,

knocking it down.

The eagle survived, though—not that I

wanted it dead—but it almost killed me.

Its form shifted, becoming a black male

with long white hair.

"Excellent," he said. "Shine, I am the

Deity of the Forest and also the Garden Keeper."

Everyone was stunned and quickly bow our heads

to greet him properly,

"greetings garden keeper "we said in unison .

 Welcome children, he answered.

 Chief

said "it's been a while Leo ". "This is my niece shine".

Really ?. Leo replied "she truly has the

heirs blood , the mind of a warrior and a heart of gold. Welcome shine " .

, inspector fave spoke and said" Leo our

students are here to assist in any possible way they can".

Leo answered thank goodness I need all the help I can get and more , he

then winked at inspector fave .

 She blushed.

 omg ,

their love birds I said to my self.

 Leo

said" Students it's time to put what you've learnt to practice,

you have 3 assignment but today is far spent . It get dangerous at night here so go back to your

dorms and come back tomorrow".

The next day

Each group was assigned with 3 different tasks

by Leo , nobody wanted to fail so we worked hard to pass. We didn't finish the

first task before inspector peace whispered something into Leo's ear .

He's face altered, he summoned us together , and said due to some crisis , we would call it quit today, till further notice,

every one to the assembly ground now .
