Kaios was the Grand Commander of the current rank 1 fleet on Planet Server named SERTHRAX DAWN Fleet, whereas NEXUSSIRE was for the CLAYMONT REQUIEM Fleet.
In the absence of him, due to his awakening, NEXUSSIRE had attacked some of the troops on their side as well as sent some of their destroyer-class Battleships towards their controlled region.
So, Kaios knew that they were trying to rile them up to start a battle with them in an attempt to snatch their rank.
"Cortana, initiate jump to their region. And follow my instruction and tell the fleet as I command."
[ORDER ACKNOWLEDGED, SIR COMMANDER]
Acknowledging the order from Kaios, the fleet jumped to the region controlled by the CLAYMONT REQUIEM. There they saw a fleet of the same size as them waiting.
Suddenly, a beep sound was heard in the cockpit of the mothership Kaios was in.
[SIR, ENEMY COMMANDER IS INITIATING COMMUNICATION]
"Accept it.", Kaios said to Cortana.
As Kaios accepted the communication, a hologram materialized in front of him.
"Greetings, Kaiser.", said the other person in the hologram.
The person on the other side of the hologram was wearing a green military cap with his face hidden in the shadow. His body looked a little buffed even with the fleet uniform. This was the Grand Commander of the enemy side, NEXUSSIRE.
"Greetings, NEXUS. Are your fleet ready for the hell that is about to come today?", Kaios asked with a smirk.
NEXUS scoffed from the other side, "We will see about that after the battle, Kaiser, who give hells to whom."
"I admire your optimism, Nexus, but your history is telling me otherwise. Your Grand Fleet is primed for alpha as always by me, Nexus, prepare well for it.", Kaios countered.
"Not today, Kaiser. We have a surprise for you.", Nexus spoke arrogantly.
"We will see about that, anyways wish you a fair fight, Nexus.", Kaios concluded.
"Wishing you same, Kaiser.", Nexus cut the communication line.
As Nexus cut the call, Kaios opened the fleet network and declared,
"Battle has begun everyone, let the hunt begin. And o7."
As everyone heard this, all the battleships and frigates started to move in classic wedge formations.
"Three Behemoth in the front, support each with four Nightwraith."
"Order two Dominar for each Behemoth, also take a Maelvarn carrier for them."
"Also deploy four Hallowspires to follow them on the rear."
"Engage the Nightwraith each with ten-second delay and the combat drones from Maelvarn at fifteen-second delay, limit it for thirty-one for each cycle."
"Form the buffer line with Hallowspire and Dominar, do not engage without order from Sun."
Kaios ordered the starting formations and sat on his command chair, facing the screens as the fleets moved according to his order.
On the other side of the battlefield, inside the mothership of the CLAYMONT REQUIEM, a person in a gray outfit could be seen sitting on the commanding chair. This person was none other than NEXUSSIRE, or Nexus.
He was watching something on the holographic screen in front of him. The scene that was showing in the hologram was the movement of the battleships of their enemy SERTHRAX DAWN.
As he was watching the movements, a sudden mechanical voice spoke.
"Sir, the squad leaders and commanders are asking when to make move."
This was the AI of the mothership, called Alfred.
"Hmm, they are eager to move… Huh."
"Okay, then let's move. Alfred, connect everyone to my comm."
After a couple of seconds, Alfred connected everyone to the comm of Nexus.
"Sir, everyone is connected.", Alfred notified.
"Attention, today will be the day we will take the rank 1 position from the SERTHRAX DAWN. So, everyone was ordered to follow my commands without any question asked, understood. Now get ready.", Nexus declared.
After the declaration, he began to order everyone according to his battle plan.
"Ironveil Battleships form a confused front line with some visible gap in the center. Make it noticeable enough so, enemy will fall for it, thinking it as a weak point."
"Jugranth Dreadnoughts form a line rear of the Ironveil in the blind zone of their sensor. Be ready to engage immediately to my orders; Ironveils are bait to lure them to you."
As he gave the starting order, he sat and pondered.
Kaisor will definitely see the obvious bait and gap in the formation. And that's when our second layer will begin.
Like this, both of them began their plan. Kaios was taking it slowly, whereas Nexus was planning from the start of the battle.
Inside the mothership of the SERTHRAX DAWN, Cortana alerted Kaios.
"Sir Kaisor, the Grand Commander of the enemy side began to move."
"Okay, show me the positions of their Battleships.", Kaios ordered Cortana.
Cortana complied with the order of Kaios and showed their positions in a holographic map.
The map was filled with squares of different sizes and colours.
Kaios stared at the larger squares on the front — these were Ironveils, which had formed the frontline according to the order of Nexus. He also could see the gap between the Ironveils and its supporting ships.
"Why is there a blank line between the Ironveils and its supports? Nexus should not be this naïve to not send the support to frontlines."
"Shields are unusually uniform for the battle and there is also subtle drone activity in the blank space..."
The more he stared, the more confused he became, then suddenly something clicked in his mind.
"Ohh… so these gaps are the bait for my Shadepiercer and there are ships waiting in the blank gap, residing in the blind zone of our sensors. So, which ship could this be?", Kaios muttered.
"From the formation, there could be only two ships that are compatible with this. One being the Oathkeepers, that are better for ambush, and the other being Jugranth, which is known for heavy fire and siege as well as for anchor trap.", he wondered.
"But I think Nexus would not prefer to waste the Oathkeepers as passive resource, and he knows I will find this is a trap. So, the probability of Jugranth Dreadnoughts forming a line in the blank space is high."
"But what will he achieve from this useless bait, Nexus? If you want to win, you have to do better than it.", Kaios wondered, then ordered Cortana.
"Cortana, launch the rook drones into the gap and make it run high-resolution sweep of the gap. Check for the resonance shadow or delayed signature, similar to the large hulls."
[Order Received, Sending Rook Drones]
Suddenly, a bunch of drones, the same size as a basketball, shot toward the blank space between the frontline battleships.

A holographic report with the data from the rook drones appeared before Kaios.

A smile appeared on the face of Kaios as he read the report that confirmed his suspicions.
"As expected, there are hulls behind the Ironveils. And these are Jugranth Dreadnoughts as I suspected."
On the other side, a smirk also appeared on the face of Nexus as he saw the next move of Kaios.
"So, at least he noticed.", Nexus spoke, observing the rook drones.
"Alfred", he called.
[Yes, Grand Commander]
"Send the signal to initiate the Phase 2.", Nexus ordered.
[Understood, Grand Commander.]
