"Wake up jay!" Aries screams in my ear. "5 more minutes" I groan as I check my phone. 6:55AM!!! Oh god I am late! I race to the shower as I hear Aries screaming that I am late. The warm water on a cold annoying Monday is truly bliss. Why do I have to go to school!?? Keifer is going to kill me for going to Drew's yesterday. Im already planning my funeral!

That would be a pretty good tombstone right? And wildly accurate. Uh shower thoughts! I quickly turn the tap off as I race downstairs wearing my HVIS uniform with... different coloured socks? Meh who cares! I'm too lazy to find matching ones. I'm getting late. I thank the maids as I shove the pancake right out of the stove in my mouth.
Aghhhh its burning! I carry my bag as I sprint to the door. If I ran this fast in the Olympics I could get like millions of gold medals! "Oi Aries! HOLD UP!" I run to his car as he takes it out of the driveway. HUH!? Seriously just leaving me here when school is in like 10 minutes!? What's wrong with him?! "Ariesss!! You HOROSCOPE" I keep screaming as he zooms past me. Ano ang mali sa kanya!!

Why isn't she here yet? I look towards my side, her empty chair. Did I say anything wrong yesterday? Tsk- I take my phone, should I check her location?
What if she is in trouble? AGAIN!? She would tell me if she was not coming.
I stare at the clock as minute by minute ticks by. What's taking her so long? " C-in do you know where Jay Jay is?" I ask C-in. "No, she is probably late" He shrugs. "David" I tap his shoulder as he dozes off on his arm. Maybe not? Sir Alvin walks into the door holding a few folders in his hand. Classic.
When is she coming!? I'm getting so impatient.
"Watson?" I turn to face Sir Alvin as he marks the roll "Pay attention in class!"
"Mariano" He starts to look around the class as I reply "She's not-"
"Here!" She bursts through the door and collides on the chair beside me. She looks like she has ran a marathon. "Where even were you?" I ask.
"Ughh! Aries left me. He is just taking revenge cause Kuya isn't home!" she mumbles.
Angelo isn't home?
I blink, trying to process that. That explains a lot. Aries acting like a lunatic, Jay Jay showing up like she just fought a tornado, and me—sitting here wondering if I somehow offended her by breathing wrong yesterday.
"Why didn't you just call me?" I whisper, leaning closer.
She shrugs, cheeks puffed out like a hamster. "Didn't wanna bother you. You already looked mad yesterday."
Mad? I wasn't mad. I was... confused. Maybe a little jealous. Drew's name still makes my stomach twist.
"You're not a bother," I say, quieter than I meant to.
She glances at me, eyes wide for a second, then looks away. Her fingers fidget with the hem of her sleeve. I know that look. She's hiding something.
"Jay," I murmur, "what happened at Drew's?"
She stiffens. "Nothing. Just... talked."
Talked. Right. Like if!
I shrug as I pretend to look straight, Jay Jay's still beside me, but her mind is clearly somewhere else. Probably still at Drew's. Probably still with whatever she's not telling me.
