Chapter 3 - Ch-3 Ignis Glaciei Occurrat

I told my ministers that I would be going to the palace alone. I told them that it would be safer for them but the real reason was that they weren't ready for what was about to happen inside those walls. As soon as I entered palace my dragon hissed. I was prohibited to enter but seeing the dragon I think they feared for their lives, I entered in the throne room wearing the chainmail armor with the crest of the Aquerine dragon. I certainly turned a lot of heads and I am sure the women in the back fainted. Well, it wasn't everyday they saw the sovereign of the Water clan walking into their palace.

There he was ,Prince Kai-soon to be king. The one who was feared across states, known for destruction, the one whose dragon destroyed everything in his path. I bowed to him (however rude I maybe, I have my manners).

'Prince Kai, a pleasure to see you.'

'Certainly you haven't come here to steal my throne have you, Princess Anastasia.' he implored.

'Certainly not your majesty. I actually have a proposal to make.' I replied

'A proposal of what, marriage?' sneered the chief advisor

'A proposal of war, noble sir.' I snapped

My thoughts: What does this old man think of himself? But seriously they think I'm this weak.

'May I ask as to why you propose war, princess?'

'The damage you have done to us ,our livelihoods end here. I am here to make sure you get the message clearly Prince Kai. I could have had the element of surprise but you are fortunate that I do not fight unarmed men.'

'Ahh, here to intimidate me are you Princess?' he exclaimed

I let my power show a bit ,if I let it out too much it would damage him terribly.

'You see Prince Kai, intimidation is done by the weak. Those who have the power, protect not intimidate. And I am here to protect my empire even if it means I have shed my own blood.'

'May I remind you that you have caused us the same damage as we have to you. Our war camps have been torn apart and destroyed by your Aquerine.'

'War camps, your majesty. Our villages have been torn apart by your Agnes. How would you like to hear the cries of the poor children and innocent souls who have perished in your flames. For people like you who are heartless it might be easy but those screams haunt me till today.I have the right to avenge them, don't I?'

'Don't spew nonsense girl' said a minister

My dragon unleashed for I couldn't hold it back anymore.

'That's your Majesty to you. I am a sovereign, you are a minister or shall I remind you your place.I thought you people lacked hearts but manners too.' I growled

I almost turned him to ice but I have basic dignity so I have to control my self.

'Your majesty, she tried to kill me.' shouted the minister

Serves you right Sir Mark, you disrespected a sovereign. If that had been me I would have ended you but seems the Princess is quite merciful, she has left you unharmed.' he replied

I rolled my eyes, obviously his 'amazing' show of valor impressed me.

'Please give me sometime to decide princess, war might be unnecessary Princess but on the other hand, an alliance would do wonders.'

'I'm sorry your majesty but an alliance? you have the power to end this foolishness and destroy everything that she holds dear. She has insulted us and shown the form of the monster she is. I suggest you accept the war.' said the insolent chief minister.

'Did I speak to you, Sir John?. Undermining the decision of a royal is punishable by death. Speak to me again and I will make sure death will be a boon for you. ' he said, dead cold.

For the first time I had seen the kind of power he held. The way he said it sent shivers down my spine. In his eyes lay the power of the Agnes.

'Please give me sometime to decide, Princess. Until then you are welcome to stay in the palace. Have you come alone?. If not your men are allowed to stay here to. It would be an honor for us to host the Aquerine and her crew in this palace.'

His voice was somewhat genuine but with a hint of growing sarcasm. I wondered if he meant it or just wanted us to stay so that these people could assassinate us. Nevertheless, I still wanted to find out the mischief he was up to. I agreed for better or for worse.
