Chapter 3 - 3

Yang Le stood on the rooftop next to the alley, watching Tom leave.

"Well, it's time for me to go home too." Watching the police sirens approaching from a distance, after making sure Tom was fine, Yang Le also decided to end his patrol for the night.

Yang Le, who had transformed into Swampfire, controlled his body, condensing it into slender vines, climbing down the wall from the rooftop like a python.

Under the cover of darkness, Yang Le quietly climbed to a manhole cover, slightly lifted it to create a gap, and then slipped inside.

Once underground, Yang Le reverted to human form and began to search for his way home.

"The sewers of New York aren't inhabited by Ninja Turtles; they're inhabited by me, Yang Le!" Self-entertainment had basically become Yang Le's daily habit. Having been suddenly brought to this unfamiliar place by the device that preserved the omnitrix, he felt he might become depressed if he didn't find some fun for himself.

"Living in the sewers, now I've really become a rat."

The sewers weren't complicated, but it was easy to get lost due to the lack of landmarks. Yang Le didn't dare to make marks, fearing that his secret Base would be discovered.

However, Yang Le had been living here for a month, and his range of activity wasn't large. He had a good grasp of the sewers in the surrounding blocks, so finding his way home was still very simple.

Soon, Yang Le arrived in front of a valve. Yang Le stepped forward and twisted the valve.

Three turns to the left, three turns to the right, and then a firm push. With a click, the valve opened, revealing a camera.

Yang Le changed his form, aiming the omnitrix on his chest at the camera for a scan.

After the scan was complete, with a "beep," the wall next to the valve slowly opened, revealing a passage. After Yang Le walked in, the wall slowly closed again, everything returning to its original state, as if nothing had happened.

The passage wasn't long; the metal door at the end was visible at a glance. Upon reaching the door, he also underwent a scan by the camera on the door, then waited for the final door to open.

With a "creak," the large door opened, and Yang Le finally returned to his warm little home.

As Yang Le entered, the motion-sensing light clicked on with a "snap," illuminating the entire room with strong light.

The room was square, only about 100 square meters, and there were no partitions to divide it. Yang Le simply roughly divided the room into a work area and a living area.

The living area was very simple: a table with a gas stove, single-person cutlery, a sink in the corner, a hammock, and a mobile toilet that had been converted into a fixed one.

The work area was much richer than the living area, with several screens, computer cases, various miscellaneous equipment, and even a row of pots cultivating plants.

After returning home, Yang Le's transformation time also ran out. A flash of White light passed, and Yang Le reverted to an ordinary Earthling.

The first thing Yang Le, back to his original form, did was head to the pots in the work area. The things being cultivated there were part of his hypothesis; if the experiment succeeded, his strength in Swampfire form would greatly increase.

Swampfire's species, the Manthero Immortal Grass, has the ability to control plant growth and even modify plants to a certain extent. So Yang Le wondered if he could cultivate new plants to make them more versatile.

"My little darlings, have you grown well?" Yang Le approached the pots carefully, as if afraid of waking sleeping children, but Yang Le was just an ordinary Earthling now and couldn't communicate with plants.

The plants in the pots were cultivated from ordinary Peashooter, but now they were completely unrecognizable. Their stems were as thick as a wrist, their leaves heavy, and their fist-sized pods were not oval-shaped containing several peas, but round, containing only one.

That's right, what Yang Le wanted to cultivate was the Peashooter. With the help of Swampfire's abilities, even without sunlight, Yang Le could make plants grow. Yang Le had already cultivated 8 generations of Peashooter this way.

By the 5th generation, the Peashooter could fire peas, but the power was very weak, and the range of the peas was only about half a meter.

In the 7th generation, Yang Le reduced the size of the peas and increased the strength of the pods, thereby increasing the range and power of the peas, but there was still only one shot, and it was gone after firing.

The 8th generation was similar to the 7th generation, and now it was the 9th generation.

"It seems that without sunlight, even with Swampfire's ability, the plants are still underdeveloped." After recording the plant's growth in his notebook, Yang Le went to the screens.

These screens and computer cases were a computer assembled by Yang Le himself. In addition to some basic functions, Yang Le also used it to connect to street surveillance and monitor police communications.

Of course, Yang Le himself didn't have this ability; this was thanks to another alien in the Little Break Watch.

Yang Le turned on the computer, and 5 screens lit up simultaneously, displaying different information: 3 for surveillance, one for the police, and the remaining one for Yang Le's daily use.

"I've been here for a month. From the third day, when I discovered Horn Daily in this place, I've been looking forward to Spider-Man's appearance. But it's been a month, and not to mention Spider-Man, I haven't even encountered a super criminal."

Yang Le watched the news on the computer. He had been transported here a month ago. When Yang Le discovered Horn Daily and saw JJJ's face on TV, which was 7 or 8 tenths similar to the one in the movie, Yang Le felt that he had arrived in the Marvel Universe.

Afterward, looking up some famous people further confirmed it, for example, Captain America.

This iconic figure could even be found in history.

However, Yang Le couldn't determine which Universe he was in now. After all, in U.S. comics, when in doubt, it's a parallel Universe. Marvel's parallel Universes are countless, and the differences between Universes are also significant, so determining the Universe would help set goals.

Yang Le had always paid attention to Stark Industries, but Stark hadn't had any incidents yet, so he couldn't determine if it was the Movie Universe.

Although Yang Le had been collecting data, he never dared to extend his reach too far. After all, there were quite a few special organizations in the Marvel Universe, and he was afraid of being discovered by accident.

If he provoked an organization like HYDRA and they discovered his transformation ability, he would probably be immediately captured and subjected to intense study, like photon rejuvenation and severe slicing.

Just thinking about it gave Yang Le goosebumps.

"Grumble! HYDRA will beat me to my knees and take me back to be a Star Fury, right?"

Every time Yang Le made a joke, he felt lonely. A joke without anyone to retort to was better left unsaid.

"I wonder when I'll be able to make friends..." Yang Le slumped powerlessly in his chair, only able to watch TV programs for solace.
