Jackson-
After dropping my mate off at class like a good boyfriend, I left the school. I was a little sad that I couldn't stick around and take him to his next class, but I had pressing matters to investigate before I met up with him this afternoon.
He looked so excited for us to hang out, and I would feel bad if I canceled, especially since it was our first full day as a couple. Plus, I still needed to figure out who that woman was from earlier. They did kind of look the same, now that I thought about it. Maybe she was his sister or something. If she wasn't, Clover better hope I didn't punish him too harshly.
I wasn't too fond of people touching what was mine. That runt seriously needed to hurry up and let me mark him. His shyness was starting to get on my nerves, though it was pretty cute.
He also looked adorable wearing my clothes. I cursed myself out silently for not taking a picture, but I guess there would still be time later. The pullover was almost past his knees, and the one I had given him fit me a bit snug.
If he looked this cute now, how much more adorable would he be if that was the only thing he was wearing?
Just imagining his soft thighs made me drool. I hadn't had the opportunity to see them yet, but I had a feeling I wouldn't have to wait much longer.
I smiled and scratched my nose. Of course, he could only be dressed like that around me. I'd kill anyone who so much as glanced at him, even if they were from my own pack.
"Hey, Jackson! Where are you going?! I… I promised your dad–" Vice-Principal Carver wheezed, calling after me as I walked outside the building.
"It's all good, he said I could go… family emergency." I ignored his cries for me to come back and kept walking
"You… you know your dad's gonna kill me if I keep letting you walk out like this! He told me to–"
"Don't care. I'll be here tomorrow, so stop freaking out… also–" I turned around to face the plump middle-aged man.
"Mention this to my dad, and I'll be the one who kills you." I flashed my canines at him, causing him to stumble and fall back.
"Oh… okay… just this once then." He choked and then scurried back into the school like a rat.
He was human, but my Uncle Albert had been friends with him since junior high, and kept Grandpa from killing him after he found out the family secret… for some reason.
I didn't like the guy; it was obvious to anyone with eyes that he was nothing but a weasel, but I guess I was the only one around here with any brains. Hopefully, he took my threat to heart and didn't call Dad.
The prospect of having to challenge "The Alpha" later made me cringe, but I didn't worry about it too much. I was in a great mood right now!
My sweet mate had let me heal a wound on his shoulder and even kissed me on the cheek to show his appreciation! It was just so cute the way his pink lips quivered right before he leaned in and planted one on me.
Usually, you weren't supposed to heal humans with your powers, but I figured since he was my mate, it was fine. It's not like I could just let the poor thing suffer, what kind of husband would I be with then?!
I planned to tell him everything after school today anyway, so what was the harm in bending the rules a bit? I might wait until after we were bonded to show him my werewolf form, though. The last thing I wanted to do was scare him off and lose my chances of becoming Alpha.
Once we were paired, he couldn't run from me even if he tried. I'd be able to pinpoint his location in a 100-mile radius, and, even if he did manage to sneak away, he'd quickly fall ill and have to come crawling back to me on his own two feet.
Grinning at the thought of his big blue eyes watering and begging me to take him back, I pulled my clothes off and placed them in a bag I had stashed near the edge of the woods that bordered our small town.
"We're gonna have some fun later." I smiled, looking down at my friend who had gotten a bit excited from the image of Clover crying.
Crouching, I grit my teeth as I began to transform. Though I had done it thousands of times, it still wasn't the most enjoyable experience. That's why most werewolves preferred to stay in human form, driving cars or taking the bus when they needed to go somewhere, only embracing their true form on nights of the full moon.
I didn't mind driving. I even had a Dodge Charger back home, though it wasn't the most ideal car for a man of my stature. However, today my intended destination wasn't somewhere that was easily driven.
Aunt Rita lived in a cave, deep in the heart of the woods, preferring to stay in wolf form 90 percent of the time. Members of the pack frequently mocked her, acting like she was some sort of psycho, even though she was the Alpha's mate's sister.
I always thought the crazy nonsense that she spouted kind of made sense, and right now, she might be the only one who could help me.
I was pretty sure Clover was a human, but for some reason, he had been able to smell me, which was unheard of. Humans had weak noses and were unable to pick up a werewolf's scent. At most, we might just smell a bit musky. However, he was able to not only pick out my scent, but it also seemed to have put him in some sort of trance when I was trying to heal him in the nurse's office.
Stretching out my now transformed body, I bolted into the woods. I'd have to be fast so I could get back before school let out.
