Dirk Carter smiled and replied, "When did Committee Member Hall start acting like a leader? I'm the mayor; when was it your turn to question me?"

Organizing Committee Member Gwen Eames quickly said, "Mayor Carter, you are the mayor, that's true, but even a mayor can't do whatever they wish, right? Are you trying to shield the suspect?"
