The director's voice echoed across the campus.
The lines of blood that were used to form a symbol began to twitch.
It kept pulsing with excitement.
It wasn't the only thing that was now excited.
The five who were struggling not to give in to the voices felt their surroundings change.
It was like they were suddenly thrown into a dark pool surrounded by the abyss.
Their bodies sank slowly into the dark water.
The feeling was somewhat strange.
They knew they were sinking, but they were not panicked.
It was like falling into a soft bed, with their worries slipping away.
Their train of thought was somewhat sluggish.
They couldn't process the information being received—only watch it.
They could see, hear, and feel everything.
The images were being transmitted and their brains processed them,
But they could not respond.
And in that state, something else responded.
Their bodies began to move into action.
Ming Jun, being the only person alone, easily got out from his hiding place.
His face under the moonlight was eerie.
His eyes were clear,
But the brown color of his eyes was now a bloody red.
"Hehe…" the laughter was like a ghost wailing.
It was scratchy and disordered, but also very inhuman.
He randomly grabbed a knife from one of the boxes and dashed off into the places where tragic cries could be heard.
Shae Harris and Noi Karn looked at each other in the incinerator.
Their eyes too, were a bloody red.
The air was thick with murderous intent.
Their gazes were locked onto each other with a deep ferocity.
Their consciousness, on the other hand, was desperately trying to hold their bodies back.
But Noi Karn was the worst out of all of them because he couldn't think at all.
In fact, just processing what the "him" outside was doing took a lot out of him.
The consciousness of Shae Harris was shocked at her environment.
She tried to punch the water, but it didn't even leave a ripple.
Then she also saw that her body was moving.
She saw "herself" glaring at the youngest like she wanted to kill him.
Then she summoned her power and began to fight with the water—throwing kicks and punches around.
Their bodies looked at each other and turned away.
That was because the other "them" knew that they couldn't kill the other party just yet.
So Shae Harris opened the latch and crawled out.
Then she dashed off into the distance.
Noi Karn watched her retreating figure,
Then proceeded to head in another direction.
Wei Zhi and Mori Aoi were the ones in the most difficult situation.
They were originally close to each other during the transformation.
So the first thing their bodies did was attack each other.
Wei Zhi stretched out a hand to Mori Aoi's throat.
He used both hands to grasp it tightly with a clear intention of ripping her head off.
Mori Aoi, on the other hand, had a palm spread on his chest.
It might sound romantic, but only "Wei Zhi" knew the pressure she exerted on her palm.
At that point, she was just a step away from forcing her palm into his chest and grabbing his heart.
Both had creepy smiles on their faces, and their red eyes looked excited.
They didn't care whether they had the ability to kill the other person or not.
They just wanted to kill that person right now.
Their true consciousness, on the other hand, was terrified.
Wei Zhi was panicked at the thought of watching such a brutal thing happen to anyone by his hands—
Not to mention someone he got along with.
He tried to struggle in the dark waters, but his body refused to listen.
After a while, he was rewarded with a single ripple across the water surface.
And then the "Wei Zhi" outside twitched.
Mori Aoi was also struggling.
She was already in tears at the strange place she found herself in while her body was taken over by an unknown thing.
But the sight of her about to rip out Wei Zhi's heart made her scream.
She tried to move and caused a single ripple on the lake surface.
Her body outside also twitched.
The two people with red eyes looked at each other a second more, then turned away.
They both punched the cupboard apart with their fists and stepped out of the wreckage.
Then they turned away and began to run in different directions after leaving the kitchen.
The five of them had their bodies moving, but now they were too tired from trying to stop them from killing the other person.
All they could do now was watch.
The five of them now held a weapon gotten from any location they could find and went straight for the zombies.
That's right—
Some zombies were already excitedly on the way to meet them.
Shae Harris and Noi Karn were facing opposite sides but were still facing the zombies heading to the garbage dump.
This time though, they didn't fight without any regard.
They swung the knives around and would accurately chop off a body part of the zombie.
They would dodge the bites and aim for the head.
Their moves were steady and barbaric, but also fluid.
It was easy for anyone who observed their first transformation and the present one to see there was a huge difference.
This time, it wasn't just mindless slaughter—
But strategic killing with efficiency to end it in one blow.
The weapons in their hands would swing straight for the neck to chop off the head.
The weapons were picked up from the corpses on the field—
The corpses that were steadily increasing and were mixed with zombie corpses.
That's right, the people didn't stop killing humans just because the zombies appeared.
After all, the voices in their heads were telling them that everyone else was an enemy.
So if they decided to stop fighting each other to fight the zombies,
They would be stabbed in the back at the slightest chance.
So they fought everyone around them
Human or zombie.
Zhao Feng, Kim Ji-Hoon, Han Seojin, and the punk noble fought more fiercely than the others.
Ever since the symbol was drawn on the entire school,
They felt that their power was tripled.
Unfortunately, their reason was completely lost.
They couldn't think about anything except slaughter.
Even when they sustained a serious injury like their bones being broken,
They would continue swinging that broken arm around, bursting both zombie and human heads alike.
The humans who had forgotten about the family they were fighting to protect
That family that was now being slaughtered by the zombies.
This consisted of women, children, and the elderly.
Of course, they tried to run immediately after seeing the zombies storm in.
Unfortunately, the zombies were coming from all sides -- there was no escape
They were already people who were lacking in the physical aspect,
So it was impossible for them to outrun the zombies who looked like they were on steroids.
The zombies had their strength increased, and they were even faster than normal.
There were screams and bloodshed everywhere—
That included those who were running the base as management.
There were only three types of normal people resisting the zombies.
The first group were those who had abilities.
They were also a bit affected by the strange state,
But they were still able to think and resist its enchantment.
They were trying to fight their way out of the teaching building to get to the school gate to escape.
They didn't see the line of blood that crawled on the walls of the building.
All they heard was that creepy laugh, and suddenly the zombies poured into the school.
The second type of person was Yi Zheng.
Yi Zheng also wasn't able to make out the vibrant lines of blood stuck to the walls,
But he could see that something was there.
It was too thin and hazy for him to examine.
He didn't need to see the lines of blood anyway,
Because he already felt the sanity of everyone in the school snap at that single moment.
And then he could tell there was no escaping the situation.
So he rolled out of the cupboard and brought out the pocket knife he always had.
And then suddenly, he felt different.
It was like he suddenly grew an invincible limb.
He turned to the knife in his hand, and it flew swiftly into the head of a zombie running toward him.
He watched as it tore into its head with enough force to slam the zombie back.
He gazed at another zombie, and the head of that zombie exploded on its own.
He sensed danger behind him and found himself a meter away in a safe corner.
It turned out that there was a zombie hiding behind him, about to attack.
Yi Zheng sent a table that was beside it into the zombie.
At that moment, Yi Zheng felt it—
He had abilities.
And they were very strong.
Too strong.
It wasn't something a human could do, because at the end of the day, human beings have limitations.
He felt that all his senses were heightened.
He was so strong that he felt he couldn't even measure it.
He was sure he could handle the zombies without any problem now.
So logically, he should be safe.
Wrong.
He also knew very clearly—
This ability wasn't a late awakening.
He wasn't so crazy as to believe he was some main character who awakened like Ming Jun.
It was something that was given to him.
Because he still didn't feel like it was his own.
It wasn't coming from his body or from inside his soul.
To explain it clearly, it's like this:
You have the intention to move a piece of paper without touching it,
Then you open the window to let the air in.
The breeze blows and the paper moves.
But the window gets stuck and it can't close.
Therefore, you can no longer control the breeze,
And you don't know when the breeze will stop.
In essence, you allowed it in to fulfill a purpose—
But you don't control the input, and you have no idea when it's going to end.
Yi Zheng felt his situation was like walking on a tightrope—
One false move and he would fall off the edge.
The zombies around him had their heads exploded by his thought.
Yi Zheng frowned.
He wanted to burst their heads all at once,
But it ended up being one at a time.
So that meant he couldn't use these abilities as he wished.
There were limitations to it.
He felt a sense of urgency and tried to teleport to the school gate that he entered from,
But he could only teleport a meter away from his original position.
Yi Zheng felt that even though he seemed invincible,
He was still held back by imaginary chains.
Yi Zheng continued to explode heads while teleporting in the direction of the school gate.
Anyway, the good thing about his ability was that he could use it without feeling like he used up his energy.
....
Jae-Hyun snapped out of his despair at the sound of the system.
[Emergency quest – kill the director]
He began to encourage himself.
That's right, the only thing he could do after being deceived like this was to kill the director.
Since he was the mastermind behind the situation, then he should be able to stop it.
Jae-Hyun rushed down with maximum speed and headed toward the director, who was leisurely walking amidst the chaos.
The director, as if hearing his thoughts, smiled at Jae-Hyun, who was approaching.
The zombies seemed to have noticed that Jae-Hyun looked like a nice treat.
They swarmed around him and fought fiercely to take a bite.
Even if they had their body parts chopped off,
They would still try to bite him without hesitation.
The director looked at him with a smile,
But his senses were more focused on those five kids.
He licked his lips at the thought of torturing them and tearing them apart.
He raised his hand.
The ground split apart as holes big enough for a person were formed
Numerous decayed hands crawled out from the soil.
They had most of their flesh gone and were infested with maggots swimming around their bodies,
But that didn't stop them from being fierce.
They stormed into the school, slaughtering people as they went.
A second wave of buried corpses had risen and joined the game.
