Chapter 6 - Chapter : 6 : The 1st Generation of Armor Appears

"Antigravity missile system, Jericho missile." In the expert connection, several military industry leaders exchanged astonished glances. Horror flashed across their faces, impossible to hide.

"Advanced weapons! Anti-gravity? No resistance?"

"The design of this missile is unprecedented. If it weren't tied to a past-life capture, I might have assumed it was a weapon from the future!"

"It seems he was a high-level figure in this arms circle?"

"I don't know if I could ever replicate these weapons."

The military leaders were eager yet apprehensive.

The Terra Federation, after all, had experienced no wars for thousands of years. Military research had followed a simple, predictable trajectory. Encountering such a devastating weapon now was both shocking and potentially invaluable. Access to its design and manufacturing process would be a massive boon to Terra's technological history, a huge leap in military capability.

"It's a pity he died so abruptly."

A humanities and sociology expert sneered: "I don't see it as a pity. Casualties always trace back to instigators and arms dealers. I can imagine the suffering his weapons caused on Terra in past wars!"

Meanwhile, in the forum, a post was pinned and highlighted at the top: It is our duty to resist war.

"Someone regrets that he died in a past life?"

"A person who creates wars and delivers bloodshed to terrorists?"

"He doesn't deserve pity!"

"Murderer."

"Millions of activity points, irony! The weapons he sold killed countless people, yet he gains influence?"

"Daring to capture past lives at eight years old, fearless of backlash, ruthless!"

"His previous life was even harsher. No wonder so many hated him!"

"Damn! This person isn't dead?"

In a luxurious room, a girl lay draped in tulle. Aldice held a tablet in her hands. On the screen, Tanner's armored vehicle exploded in flames. With a soft chuckle, Aldice remarked, "I expected you'd capture noble past lives. I didn't expect a disgusting arms and fire dealer. It's fine to die. Terra doesn't need wars, let alone deaths."

As she reached out, a maid placed morning tea beside her, a cup of thick, crimson blood. Sipping it, Aldice smiled in satisfaction. Since capturing the vampire princess's past life last month, she had successfully awakened her vampire abilities. Each sip rejuvenated her cells, invigorating her with vitality.

The scenes of past life unfolded.

[ Light flickered across a cave. Tony lay on a narrow bed, bandaged and terrified, hastily pulling out a nasogastric tube from his nose. ]

[ A middle-aged bald man shaved in front of a mirror, observing himself silently. ]

[ Tony attempted to turn, but the bald man said lightly, "If I were you, I wouldn't do that." ]

[ Startled, he noticed a battery on the table, wires extending into his chest cavity. In fear, he tore the bandages off, revealing a circular coil embedded beneath his skin. ]

Viewers were left dumbfounded.

"????"

"What is that? How did they implant a coil?"

"That's su*cide!"

"A mechanical support outfit?"

"Did it just save his life?"

Mechanical support devices existed in Terra, though only among shadowy factions. The general public had seen only chaos and rumors. Yet here, before Terra's broader technological age, such ingenuity existed.

[ Fire flickered in the background. ]

[ Tony asked, "What did you do to me?" ]

[ The bald man replied, "I just saved your life. I tried to remove as much shrapnel as possible, but some remains, flowing toward your heart. In our village, we call someone like this a 'living dead.' In one week, the shrapnel would pierce vital organs. Electromagnets, powered by car batteries, can stop the fragments from reaching your heart." ]

The live audience gasped in unison.

"Did he save him?"

"Electromagnets can do that?"

"My physics knowledge says this shouldn't work, but it did!"

"Unbelievable! Shrapnel flowing in the blood should be fatal."

Medical professionals watching were moved to tears. No one had considered this method for stopping lethal shrapnel.

"A medical miracle!"

"The coil redirects shrapnel away from the heart, a near-certain lifesaver."

"This is revolutionary! I need to include this in my dissertation!"

The screen flickered as clips continued.

[ The cave door opened. Thugs forced their way in, demanding that Tony manufacture Jericho missiles. He refused, and torture followed.]

[ "Here are all the materials for Jericho missiles. Start immediately, and you'll be released when finished." ]

"Damn! Did he make missiles?"

"These terrorists are naive! Helping them builds the tyrants' power!"

Viewership dropped as outrage spread online.

[ Various equipment and materials were transported to the underground workshop. ]

[ Tony selected a palladium sample and worked through processes with precision and focus. Soon, a white-light-emitting coil was completed. ]

[ The bald man asked, surprised, "This doesn't look like missile-making."

[ Tony replied, "It's a micro-arc shock reactor." ]

Viewers gaped; he wasn't building missiles; he was crafting something far more advanced. Confused detractors softened slightly.

[ "But what does it do?" ]

[ "It functions as a power source," Tony explained, "If calculations are correct, three billion joules per second. Enough to keep something online for fifteen minutes." ]

[ Tony stacked blueprints, revealing a robot's design, "This is how we escape." ]

Experts lost their voices in disbelief.

"Three billion joules per second? Can this small device produce so much energy?"

"Unbelievable!"

"Terra's technological history seemed primitive, but creating a three-gigajoule micro-reactor?"

"But the robot looks a bit crude."

"A supercomputer doesn't consume this much in hours!"

"He said there's something bigger? Terrifying! Terra's past was terrifying!"

"They'd never survive this back then," Whispered one.

[ The arc reactor was installed in Tony's chest, glowing with energy. Modules were assembled. Tony, armed, sprayed flamethrowers to counter terrorists' attacks. The massive mecha emerged from the cave, impervious to incoming fire. Amid flames, it rose skyward, flames roaring from its feet. ]

The audience erupted:

"Is that a mecha? Flying?"

"One person created this in days?"

"He's a genius!"

In the expert team, a military leader stood in horror:

"This is Terra's early individual combat equipment?!"

"Our current gear relies on gas jets or propellers."

"This mech seems powered by pure energy shockwaves!"

"Way ahead of us!"
