Chapter 24 - CHAPTER 25

The village of Amosu lay bathed in an eerie, crimson glow as the blood-red moon hung low in the sky. The villagers gazed upon the unsettling sight, a sense of foreboding washing over them as if the heavens themselves warned of the approaching darkness.

Without warning, the night erupted into a cacophony of chaos and terror. Pipes burst from the earth, twisting and contorting into living, serpentine forms. Electric poles morphed into enormous anacondas, their once-rigid limbs now muscular and powerful. Transformers hissed and spat, transformed into venomous vipers and cobras. Water hoses writhed like snakes, spewing forth deadly serpents that slithered and struck with lethal precision.

Amosu Village was swallowed by a sea of scales and fangs. Snakes infested every corner, attacking with merciless abandon. The villagers' screams of terror pierced the air as the lights flickered and died, casting the kingdom into darkness. The power outage was complete, leaving the village at the mercy of the relentless serpentine onslaught.

But the snakes were not the only threat to befall the village. Ikuku's army, armed and ruthless, swept through the streets, mercilessly cutting down anyone they ran into. The clashing of steel echoed through the night, mingling with the hisses and screams of the doomed. It was a night of unimaginable horror, a night that would haunt the villagers' memories for eternity. Amosu Village was besieged on all sides, its people at the mercy of the merciless forces that threatened to consume them.

In a dimly lit house, the silence was abruptly shattered by the resonant sound of heavy footsteps. Two menacing aliens crept through the vacant rooms, their blades poised to strike. Huddled in a corner, a young girl, no more than eight years of age, held a nursing baby tightly against her chest. She had sought refuge in this hiding place, desperate to evade the brutal carnage outside. But the baby's sudden cry revealed their location, drawing the aliens' attention to the vulnerable pair. The girl squeezed her eyes shut, bracing for the worst as the aliens raised their blades to deliver the fatal blow.

Just as all hope seemed lost, a sudden whirlwind of movement burst into the room. Princess Adaeze, her actions swift and precise, took down one of the aliens with a single, powerful punch. The creature's head slumped to the side, its purple blood spraying across the floor. Seizing the fallen alien's blade, she dispatched the other with a flurry of lethal strikes.

The girl opened her eyes to find Princess Adaeze standing protectively over her, a look of concern softening her fierce expression. "Are you kids alright?" she asked, her voice gentle.

The girl managed a shaky nod. "Y-yes, my Princess. Thank you."

A warm smile graced Princess Adaeze's face as she tenderly carried the baby and took the girl's hand, guiding them to a secure sanctuary where other villagers had gathered, safe from the chaos that raged beyond its walls.

In a different corner of the village, a grisly scene was playing out. A massive python had ensnared an elderly man within its constricting coils, squeezing the life from his fragile body. The man's screams of agony echoed through the streets, reaching Samuel's ears as he burst onto the scene, his blade gleaming in the dim light. With one powerful swing, Samuel severed the python's body, liberating the old man from its deadly embrace.

Gasping for air, the old man's eyes fluttered open, locking onto Samuel's with profound gratitude. "Thank you, my son," he croaked, his voice barely audible.

A small smile graced Samuel's lips as he helped the man to his feet. "You're welcome, sir. Please, let's get you to safety."

As they navigated the perilous streets, a new danger emerged. Aliens advanced from the front, their blades glinting menacingly in the moonlight. Anacondas slithered up from behind, their beady eyes fixed on their prey. Vipers, pythons, and cobras converged from either side, encircling Samuel and the old man in a lethal trap.

Samuel braced himself for the impending battle, his blade poised to strike. But before the creatures could launch their assault, a brilliant blue light of laser surged through the street, engulfing the aliens and snakes in a blazing inferno. The air crackled with the scent of ozone and charred flesh as the blinding radiance faded.

A familiar voice called out from the shadows, "Hey, Samuel, it's been a while, hasn't it?"

Samuel's eyes widened in shock as he recognized the figure emerging from the darkness. "You?" he gasped, his voice barely a whisper.

Atop the mountain, Ikuku observed the unfolding chaos with cold, alien eyes. The village of Amosu was engulfed in a frenzy of fear and violence, its residents falling victim to the transformative power of the crimson moon. With a cruel smirk, Ikuku mused, "Some people are dead, some are crying out in agony, and others are cowering in fear. But this is only the beginning."

Suddenly, the villagers began to change, their bodies twisting and warping into nightmarish forms, Ikuku's words rang true. Fingers and teeth elongated into razor-sharp fangs and claws, their eyes burning with a primal hunger. The once peaceful villagers had become vampires, driven by an insatiable thirst for destruction.

Anita, a woman with superhuman strength, an ability she got due to her transformation into a vampire, stood at the center of the chaos. With a single, effortless motion, she lifted a mysterious house off its foundation and hurled it aside, exposing the villagers' hideout and leaving them vulnerable.

Grace and Cynthia watched the horrifying scene unfold, their voices trembling with fear.

"Babe, isn't that Anita?" Grace asked, her eyes fixed on the monstrous figure.

Cynthia's gaze followed Grace's, her mind racing to make sense of the situation. "Who is Anita?"

"She's my neighbor," Grace replied, her voice barely a whisper. "What happened to her?"

Cynthia considered the question, her eyes darting between Anita and the crimson moon. "It could be another effect of the crimson moon."

Grace's brow furrowed, her voice filled with concern. "But why aren't we affected?" she asked

Cynthia hesitated, choosing her words carefully. "I think not everyone will be affected. It might have something to do with blood."

Grace and Cynthia steeled themselves, their determination unwavering as they attempted to restrain Anita. But even their combined strength was no match for her overwhelming power, and they were sent flying across the street. Undeterred, they regrouped and charged once more, managing to pin Anita down just long enough for the terrified villagers to escape.

As they struggled to hold Anita down, Cynthia's mind raced, latching onto a crucial question. "Babe, what's her blood group?"

Grace, her brow furrowed in confusion, snapped back, "What does that have to do with anything?"

Cynthia insisted, "Just answer the question!"

After a moment's hesitation, Grace replied, "I think it's O."

Cynthia's gaze locked onto Anita's contorted face, her mind piecing together the puzzle. "In that case, it might be something that affects people with O blood group."

Grace scoffed, "Don't be ridiculous! There's no way that's true."

Before she could continue, Anita's strength surged, sending them both flying through the air once again. Grace, her patience wearing thin, scolded Cynthia, "Stop playing around, will you?!"

Cynthia's words caught in her throat as a memory surfaced, her voice dropping to a whisper. "Wait a minute..."

Grace, her frustration mounting, snapped, "What is it now?"

Cynthia's eyes were filled with concern as she asked, "What's Princess Adaeze's blood group?"

Grace's face furrowed in confusion. "Huh? O?"

Cynthia's voice was barely audible, her realization chilling. "If I'm right, then the princess might be in trouble!"

Meanwhile, Princess Adaeze ascended the treacherous mountain, her heart burning with rage. Her mind was set on one goal: confronting Ikuku and avenging those she had lost.

As she reached the summit, Ikuku's sneering voice greeted her. "If it isn't the pretty princess who is madly in love with my last victim. May I ask what brings you here?"

Princess Adaeze steeled herself, her voice unwavering. "I've come to kill you!"

Ikuku chuckled, his tone dripping with mockery. "That's an interesting thing to say. But I wonder whose side you're really on."

As his words hung in the air, a searing pain ripped through Princess Adaeze's chest. To her horror, she felt her body transforming, her once beautiful human features contorting into a beautiful monstrous visage. Her hair grew longer and whiter, her teeth and nails sharpening into deadly points. She had become a vampire, another victim of the crimson moon's malevolent influence.

Ikuku's sinister laughter echoed through the night air, his voice heavy with malice. "Sweet! It seems our beloved princess' blood group is O."

In that moment of Ikuku's triumph, a blinding blue light pierced the darkness, striking the mountain floor and separating the villain from Princess Adaeze. A familiar voice rang out, cutting through the chaos. "Yo! Ikuku!"

Ikuku whirled around, his eyes widening in shock at the sight of the intruder. "What are you doing here? Why are you alive?" he screamed, his voice tinged with disbelief.

As the dust settled, Ikuku's gaze locked onto the face of his unexpected adversary. His eyes bulged with uncontrollable rage as he spat the name, "EKENE!"
