Chapter 165 - Experiment, Mechanical Spider, Full Metal Armor

"When will the reinforcements arrive?" Eddie asked, a little exhausted.

"Don't ask me! Don't bother me!" While Venom was still communicating, he was struck by another explosive bomb with strange properties. A burst of flames erupted from the affected part of his body, burning Venom's face until it was distorted. He quickly rolled on the ground, rubbing the flames out, even losing part of his body tissue, like a gecko cutting off its tail to survive.

"I can't hold on any longer!" Eddie growled feebly in his mind. As the symbiote's host, he needed to bear the burden of Venom's energy consumption! Even without Venom, he couldn't handle the intense fighting and escaping for nearly an hour.

By now, he and Venom were practically exhausted. Earlier, they had been able to fight back, dispatching several pursuers. But as time dragged on, the enemy's numbers showed no sign of diminishing, and they were gradually entering a period of exhaustion. The only reason they had managed to hold out for so long was Venom's occasional bursts of energy, breaking through the enemy's nearly formed encirclement.

But now, the two of them have reached the end of their rope.

Counterattack?

The remaining strength they had was only enough to sustain their escape. If they dared to turn around and resist, it would basically be considered as accepting death. In fact, if Venom hadn't been waiting for reinforcements, he wouldn't have wanted to run for his life in such an embarrassing manner.

The roar of helicopters rushed into Venom's ears, and two fully armed helicopters appeared in Venom's field of vision.

"Damn! This is trouble!" Venom's heart immediately sank when he saw the two armed helicopters. After all, he was also a symbiote of two arms tycoons. Those two helicopters in the sky were obviously military helicopters! In other words, the other party had certain interests and connections in the military! Commonly known as connections!

Just when Venom and Eddie were feeling desperate, two shells, with the high-frequency hum of electricity and dragging a faint blue light, hit the two helicopters in the sky.

Two dazzling flames suddenly flashed in the air.

This sudden attack startled the pursuers. In order to prevent the venom from entering the city, they had been forcing them to go to the outskirts of the city, so that when they drove the prey to a suitable hunting spot, they could use all their strength to capture the prey.

But now, just before the net was about to be closed, a troublemaker hiding in the darkness suddenly appeared, which cast a shadow over the heart of the person in charge of tracking.

"Oh, damn, what is that!"

Eddie stared in horror at the darkness ahead. Under the venom, he heard a subtle commotion and a slight tremor in the ground. Then, with his eyes wide open, a football-sized mechanical spider suddenly leaped out of the darkness, followed by another, and one by one, they gathered into a swarm.

Mixed among these mechanical spiders are some elites whose lower bodies are spiders and upper bodies are humanoid.

This army of mechanical spiders ignored Venom who had stopped in his tracks, bypassed him as if he were nothing, and rushed towards the pursuers in all directions.

"Is this, reinforcements?" Eddie turned around blankly and looked at the jumping, shadowy shadows in the dark night. Apart from the joy of escaping death, he could only marvel at the army of mechanical spiders whose size and number were unclear.

This wave of at least several thousand mechanical spiders passed by! No one knew how the reinforcements arrived here with such a large mechanical army. If it didn't alarm anyone, it would be even more amazing.

Before Venom could say anything, a figure in a black steel armor slowly descended from mid-air in front of him.

"Snooker?" Venom asked tentatively, looking at the familiar appearance of the iron armor.

"The boss asked me to pick you up." The fine black iron filings on the helmet faded to both sides like a tide, revealing Snooker's calm face under the helmet.

"Isn't this a bit of a big deal?" Venom breathed a sigh of relief when he saw Snooker's face, but thinking about how big the commotion was, he might have to bear some "debts" when he returned, so he started to back off.

"Just experimenting with new equipment and tactics." Snooker said lightly.

"Mr. Snooker." Eddie also revealed half of his face and looked at Snooker with joy. Just as he was about to express his gratitude, the sound of an explosion not far away attracted their attention.

Boom boom boom!

Continuous explosions lit up the darkness not far away, the flames particularly eye-catching in the darkness. It seemed that the mechanical spiders were being destroyed and eliminated in large numbers.

"That's quite a loss, are you alright?" Eddie said, a little uneasy. He and Venom had seen a lot of the mutants' tricks along the way. Their abilities were bizarre and their combat effectiveness was not low.

"Suicide spiders were originally produced as consumables for clearing out miscellaneous soldiers. Don't worry, this batch are all castrated versions, or original versions, and the damage is only average. They are used to verify the effect and clear out the inventory by the way." Snooker replied.

In reality, those mechanical spiders weren't just for self-destruction. Depending on the manufacturing process, they could also perform functions such as radar scanning, data processing, swarm control, and troop generation. They could even add different types of troops based on demand. But this obviously didn't need to be explained to Eddie.

After hearing this, Eddie immediately shut up.

"I like this way of fighting. Can you let Luke transform me after we go back? I've discovered a new form, the mechanical form! My combat power after converting to the mechanical form is stronger than my current form. I don't want to be a weak symbiote anymore." Venom was obsessed with his mechanical form and complained.

An even more violent explosion sounded from not far away. The shock wave caused by the explosion not only swept away all the mechanical spiders around, but also reached Snooker and others a few hundred meters away. However, the strong wind still almost blew away the exhausted Venom and Eddie.

A blazing white beam shot from afar, landing on the semicircular blue energy shield that automatically appeared in front of Snooker. The powerful energy beam splashed across the shield's surface, creating visible energy ripples.

Before the mechanical spiders could re-form an encirclement, a tall figure broke through the blockade at a speed beyond human limits and rushed towards Snook and the others.

"Your courage is commendable." Looking at the mutant who was running towards him at an extremely fast speed like a flash in the darkness, Snoke praised softly, and then activated a crystal blue card on the slots on his iron arm.

A tall and heavy steel giant suddenly appeared in front of him. It was silver-white in color and had a humanoid shape with seemingly crude workmanship.

Full Metal Armor.

This was Luke's trump card in the early days. While it's still a powerful hand today, it's no longer necessary for Luke, who has better options.

"Arm?" The full metal armor emitted a low, humming engine startup sound, its eyes instantly lit up, and its entire bloated and massive body stood upright. Its main control system sent a question to Snoke.

"Free mode, capture the enemy in front and require them to survive." Snooker gave the order.

The Full Metal Armor has two modes. One is Armor Mode, where it acts as an additional layer of armor for Snoke, giving him increased protection, increased attack power, and more enhanced features! It's somewhat similar to Stark's Anti-XX series external armor.

The second mode is Free Mode, where the authority holder issues orders, leaving the entire process to the Full Metal Armor's intelligent system. Besides freeing up the system to deal with other issues at critical moments, it can also be used to stall for time, stalling the enemy and allowing the authority holder to safely escape the battlefield.

When Snoke first gained access to the Full Metal Armor and began testing and understanding it, the only thing that impressed him was its defense system. The materials and technology used in its construction made the Full Metal Armor incredibly advanced. The thick armor and its built-in energy defense system were a nightmare for any attacker.

But thinking that this was the armor that his boss Luke used to protect himself, Snoke felt relieved.

"Bang!"

The newcomer was a nearly two-meter-tall mutant. One advantage over other mutants was their ability to control their mutant parts. Standing nearly two meters tall against the massive bulk of Full Metal Armor, their presence felt like the contrast between an adult and a child. Even with their superior mobility, a wider range of attack methods, and greater agility, they were often at a disadvantage against the seemingly bulky yet equally agile metal monster.

The attacker had already exhausted all his destructive weapons: beam slashing, electromagnetic bullets, pulse energy cannons. But to his despair, these attacks landed on the towering metal monster in front of him, and the electromagnetic bullets only inflicted a few pitted holes on the surface. As for the beam slashing and pulse energy cannons, they were simply absorbed by the monster. Clearly, the materials used in the construction of this monster not only had excellent resistance to physical attacks, but also possessed excellent absorption properties against energy attacks!

If you want to defeat this monster, you can only fight it head-on and wear it down to its limit of wear and tear little by little, and this process will obviously be a very torturous one.

Eric wanted to retreat.

The tactics the enemy had displayed so far were beyond his current capabilities. He had to inform his boss of what had happened. However, he wanted to retreat, but the Full Metal Armor wouldn't allow it. Its orders were to capture the person in front of it alive, and until a higher authority intervened or reconfigured the order, it would carry out this mission until its last ounce of energy was exhausted.

The metal arm swept across.

Eric swiftly bent down to dodge, but as if analyzing the opponent's dodging pattern, the other mechanical hand reached down and grabbed him. He was startled and wanted to dodge, but his mechanical right arm was still grabbed.

The full metal armor did not use the offensive weapons that Luke placed inside its body, but its iron body with amazing defensive power was enough to suppress the opponent at close range.

Based on the Hulk data Luke had obtained from the military earlier, and the defensive power of the full metal armor, it was enough to fight the Hulk in hand-to-hand combat for at least an hour! This was the closest metal material in Hyperion to vibranium in strength at the time it was made.

Bang!

Eric felt the mechanical arm in his right hand being completely crushed. Although it was a mechanical body, it still connected to human neurons during the transformation. After the pain subsided, he was already locked by the metal armor's two metal arms around his waist and arms, lifted into the air. No matter how hard he struggled, it was useless.

The thick metal plates in front of the full-metal armor slid aside, revealing a space inside that was large enough to accommodate a person. Eric felt his entire body suddenly paralyzed, unable to move, his brain losing control of his limbs.

Pocket sonic weapon.

The full metal armor stuffed Eric into the space within its chest and abdomen. The heavy chest plate closed and locked again.

"Mission accomplished." The full metal armor returned to Snoke's front, and a metallic mechanical sound rang out.

"Very good, stay where you are." Snoke finished his order and turned his gaze towards another battlefield not far away. A group of mechanical spiders emerged from the shadows, carrying several captives, cocooned like silkworms, back to Snoke's side.

"The battlefield has been cleaned up." One of the elite bodies moved his eight spider legs and stepped forward to submit the task to Snoke.

"Come back." Snoke lifted the metal panels on his black suit, revealing the slots beneath them, each containing a crystal-blue chip. Under the azure light, a group of mechanical spiders vanished, followed by another group that entered the azure light, and then the next.

After a dozen or so repetitions, the remaining 2,100 mechanical spiders vanished completely, returning to the space device within Snoke's black suit. Only a few elite ones remained.

At this time, a black ghost-like aircraft appeared in the sky and slowly landed in front of Snook and others. The belly of the cabin opened, and the elite semi-human spider arms left behind each grabbed a prisoner and held them high above their heads. Then, with eight legs, they stepped onto the deck of the cabin steadily and quickly.

"Let's go too, the boss is still waiting." Snooker looked at Venom who had retracted into Eddie's body to recover his strength.

"Oh, okay." Eddie looked like he was suffering from severe insomnia, fatigue, and mental depression. He even looked a little thinner. He managed to respond to Snooker and was helped into the cabin by his partner.
