Chapter 107 - 500

Jinette came back into the kitchen, popped the bubblegum she was chewing, and smirked at Sarah. "He wants the burly beef special, an extra side of fries, everything smothered in gravy, and you when you take your break, honey."

"Oh, my god!" Sarah gasped and blushed hard. "He actually said that? I thought I was dreaming!"

Jinette laughed and took out her receipt book, wrote out the order with the table number, then handed it to the cook. The man nodded and added it to the pile. He put on two loads of french fries into the double fryer and they would be ready by the time he finished making three other meals.

"He looks yummy and he really is interested in you." Jinette said and patted her friend's shoulder.

"How do you know that?" Sarah asked.

"He didn't even glance down at these puppies." Jinette said and exaggeratedly grabbed her breasts and jiggled them under her uniform top.

Sarah choked and laughed in equal measure, which was what Jinette was going for.

"Make sure to bring a second set of silverware when you deliver his food." Jinette said with a wink. "When you recover, get your ass back out there. I'll cover your other tables during your break."

Sarah wanted to protest taking a break early, then decided to throw caution to the wind. "Thanks, Jinette."

"Anytime, honey." Jinette said and blew a small bubble in her gum and popped it as she left the kitchen.

Sarah took a deep breath, held it for a moment, then let it out. She followed her friend out into the wilderness that was the busy restaurant and went back to work. Another order taken from a family of four, two bussed tables, and a piece of pie delivery later, fifteen minutes had passed and the meal for table five was ready.

With a nod to Jinette, Sarah grabbed two sets of silverware wrapped in napkins, tucked them into her pockets, then she carefully carried both plates as she walked through the busy restaurant to his table. She couldn't help but blush at the welcoming smile he had for her and she placed the main burly beef plate in front of him and the smaller side of fries beside it.

The man waved at the other side of the booth and Sarah didn't hesitate as she sat down across from him and took out both sets of silverware from her pockets. He laughed and slid the plate of fries over to her and she handed him one of the sets of silverware. Salt and pepper were applied to the food, each exchanging the other when needed, and they both started eating.

Sarah silently admitted the fries tasted a lot better smothered in gravy, because it was made from the drippings of the beef roast. It added to the flavor of the greasy fries and made both pop in her mouth. The fries were the first food she had eaten that day since the toast she had that morning and she hadn't realized how hungry she was until she started eating them.

The man slid a nice cut of beef onto her plate and she gave him a grateful look and dug into it without a word. The two of them ate in silence and it wasn't awkward or uncomfortable. That was a first for Sarah and she admitted to herself that it was quite nice to not feel like that. There was no urge to fill the silence until she slid that last gravy-coated french fry into her mouth and sat back with a satisfied feeling.

"Why me?" Sarah asked, since she considered that was the most important question she needed answered.

The man regarded her for a moment, then smiled. "Why not you?"

Sarah rolled her eyes. "I wasn't born yesterday..."

"I was." The man interrupted with a little laugh.

Sarah couldn't help but laugh, too. "You're a real comedian, aren't you?"

"I try." He said and motioned for her to continue. "Sorry for interrupting."

Sarah nodded. "Out of all the people around, you sit at one of my tables and hit on me." She said and leaned forward slightly. "Why?"

"Convenience? Opportunity? I think you're pretty? I want to get to know you? You looked like you needed a break from everything and not just your job? I felt like saving you from your life? Pick one... or all of them. They're all true." The man said and picked up the pitcher of water and poured more into his empty glass.

Sarah watched as he lifted it and drank it all, then he used his napkin to wipe it off and then filled it before he handed it to her. She took a small sip and was surprised it was still ice cold. It gave her a few moments to think about his answers and she thought they were all good ones.

"You want to save me from my life?" Sarah asked and barely stopped herself from hugging the glass of water.

"Yes, even if I don't really know what it's like." He answered and then leaned forward as well and pushed the dirty dishes to the side to rest his arms on the table. "Why don't you tell me all about it and I can be sure that I'm doing the right thing by trying to save you from it."

Sarah opened her mouth to do exactly that, then she realized she didn't even know the guy. "You want me to spill my guts and I don't even know your name."

He looked surprised and then barked a laugh. "I was so invested in listening to you that I completely forgot to introduce myself." He said and held a hand out to her. "My name's Kyle Reese, tech engineer, and it's very nice to meet you, Sarah the waitress."

Sarah huffed and took the hand to shake it. "Connor. My last name is Connor."

"Sarah Connor." Kyle said with a warm smile. "What time do you get off work?"

Sarah thought about telling him and then remembered she had a date with Stan Morsky. They were going on a double date with her roommate Ginger and her boyfriend Matt. The four of them were going out clubbing for the night.

"I'm sorry, Kyle. I have a date tonight." Sarah said and she really did feel sorry. The sad look on his face made her feel even worse about it.

"I'm sorry, too." Kyle said with a sigh and he turned his head to look over Sarah's shoulder and saw her friend there. "You need to get back to work."

"What?" Sarah asked and turned to look and saw Jinette standing there and tapping her wristwatch. She looked over at the clock and saw she had gone way over her normal breaktime. "Dammit!" She slid out of the booth and stood, grabbed the dirty dishes without going back for a tray, and then paused because she didn't have enough hands for the pitcher of water.

"Check, please." Kyle said and she sighed with relief.

"I'll be right back!" Sarah said and jogged by her friend. "Sorry, sorry!"

Jinette lost the stern look and snapped a small bubble with her gum. "I'm really going to tease her over this."

"As is your right." Kyle said and then shook his head. "Don't bother asking, I'm not in the mood."

Jinette chuckled. "Are you sure you don't want access to this body?"

"I said don't ask." Kyle answered and he sat back as Sarah rushed over to his table with the check. He glanced at it and it had the wrong things on it. "Pen, please."

Sarah gave it to him and he scratched out the wrong parts, wrote in what he actually had as an order, then he put the actual price of it on it. Her face was red from embarrassment at being caught out so blatantly, then he wrote a note at the bottom and handed her the pen back.

"Thanks for the meal." Kyle said and took out his wallet and dropped five bills onto the table. "Have fun on your date."

Sarah was surprised that he didn't sound sarcastic when he said that. "Thanks, I think."

Kyle smiled at her, nodded at Jinette, then he picked up his leather jacket, slipped it on, and walked away.

"Damn, look at that butt." Jinette said and tapped Sarah's arm to get her attention.

Sarah couldn't look, though. She was too focused on the five bills that Kyle had left on the table. Five large bills. Five bills that would pay her rent for the month.

"You're missing it!" Jinette grabbed her arm and shook her, only it didn't work. "And it's gone."

Sarah reached down and lifted the five hundred dollars up as if it was made of gold.

"Holy shit!" Jinette gasped when she saw what her friend held. "Now I really regret he turned me down twice."

Sarah couldn't even get angry at her friend for trying to poach the guy. She hugged the money and finally lifted her gaze to the door that Kyle left through, only to see a large military-like vehicle drive past the windows. Nearly everyone in the restaurant pointed and commented about it.

"He's long gone, honey." Jinette said and poked the money she held. "Is it real? It looks real."

Sarah nodded and folded the money to carefully put it into her pocket. She would have to be careful with it and not lose it. That's when she saw the receipt on the table and picked it up. The note on the bottom made her heart flutter.

If things don't work out on your date, give me a call. 1-555-555-5555.

"That's not a real number." Jinette said and Sarah sighed. "What? It's true. There's no way it exists. The area code is wrong even if the 555 exchange is right."

"The one time a guy gives me his number and it's fake." Sarah said, sadly. She grabbed the pitcher and walked back to the kitchen, dumped it out, added some ice, and refilled it. A trip to the cash register was next and she exchanged one of her hundred dollar bills for the actual cost of Kyle's meal and then went to her locker in the back to put the money in her purse.

For the rest of her shift, Sarah was fairly distracted and yet performed her job perfectly. She was even praised for getting the orders right and not being short on the till. She changed into her normal clothes and rode her mo-ped back to her apartment, her thoughts were constantly on the guy that said he wanted to save her from her life and then he gave her a fake number to call him. Why would he do that?

It was a question Sarah kept asking herself as she and Ginger got ready for their dates. The thoughts of riding in a Porche with Stan mollified her slightly and she hoped it would distract her from thinking about Kyle, the stupid sexy liar.

The two girls stood in front of the bathroom mirror doing last minute touches to their poofy hair and stylish make-up, then they both posed with an arm over each other's shoulders. Sarah wore a cream colored blouse and a brown skirt, while Ginger wore a dark pink loose dress that was only held tight because of a belt at her waist.

"Better than mortal man deserves." Ginger said and saw that her dark curls were fluffed perfectly.

Sarah grinned at her and then kissed her cheek. They left the bathroom and entered the living room to grab their purses and put on their shoes. Sarah looked inside the empty fish tank her pet should have been in. "Ginger? Have you seen Pugsly?"

"No, not lately." Ginger said and saw the blinking light on the answering machine. "You didn't check the messages?"

"No, I thought you did." Sarah said and looked under the couch, then she looked up at the bookcase.

Ginger shook her head at her roommate and hit the button to rewind the tape. It stopped and she hit the button to play the messages.

"There you are, young man." Sarah said and walked over to the bookcase and grabbed the bearded dragon lizard from the top of it. "You mind your mother."

The first message was reminding Sarah to call her mother. The second message was Stan Morsky cancelling their date. He didn't say why, just that something had come up and he couldn't make it. He promised to make it up to her and would call in a day or so, which both girls knew was a lie.

"What a bum." Ginger said, a little heatedly. "So what if he has a Porche. He can't treat you like this, it's Friday night for Christ's sake!"

"Well..." Sarah said with a sigh.

"I'll break his kneecaps." Ginger said.

Sarah briefly smiled at her. "At least Pugsly still loves me." She said and kissed the thing's head. "Don't you, baby?"

"Ugh, god. That's disgusting." Ginger said with her tongue out.

Sarah placed the lizard back inside its habitat and remembered Kyle's offer. She knew the number was fake; and yet, she had the urge to try it. Instead of going to change and put on normal clothes again, she went to the telephone and picked it up.

"You're not calling your mother now, are you?" Ginger asked.

Sarah shook her head and picked up the receiver and hit the buttons for the ridiculous number. She even added in the 1 for the international call, which she hoped didn't cost her a fortune on the phone bill later. She then hit the number 5 ten times and waited for the message saying such a number didn't exist. Instead, there was a loud click and there was a sound of a phone ringing.

"Hello?" A male voice asked.

"Kyle? It's Sarah." Sarah said and then felt flustered at thinking he would remember who she was by just hearing her name. "I'm the waitress you met earlier today at Big Jeff's."

Kyle chuckled. "Yes, I remember you. Your rejection was a little hard to forget."

Sarah felt bad about that. "I said I was sorry."

"I know. I said it, too." Kyle said and was silent for a moment. "It's only 8pm, so what's up? I thought you had a hot double date tonight?"

"The jerk cancelled at the last minute." Sarah told him.

"I'm sorry to hear that." Kyle said and he didn't sound sorry at all.

"We're supposed to leave soon!" Ginger loudly said and motioned with her hands to encourage Sarah into asking what she needed to ask.

"Do you think you can forgive me for saying no earlier?" Sarah asked.

"That depends." Kyle said. "Is this going to be a one-time thing, or am I always going to be your backup date?"

Sarah realized what he meant and she felt embarrassed as she defended herself and her actions. "That's not why I'm calling. Yes, Stan blew me off; but, that's on him, not me. I didn't want to be a girl that would cancel on a guy I already agreed to go on a date with, just because another guy asked me out."

The line was quiet for a moment and Sarah almost thought he was going to hang up.

"I'm available now and that's why I tried calling your fake number." Sarah added.

"Fake number? Why would you think..." Kyle stopped talking and sighed. "I'm a tech engineer and I set my phone number outside the current system to negate the charges. I chose fives because they are the easiest number to remember and dial."

Sarah let out a sigh. "I didn't think of that. The area code..."

"No, it's my mistake. I should have mentioned it when I gave it to you." Kyle said. "So, do you want to meet up somewhere for the double date or should I come over to your place?"

Sarah looked over at Ginger. "Are we heading out to meet him or should he come here?"

"He's a new guy, let's meet him at the club. You can invite him back here if it works out." Ginger said.

Sarah nodded and told Kyle the address of the club they were going to. She then said they'd arrive in a blue sedan and would meet him in the parking lot across the road.

"Way to go!" Ginger said and gave Sarah a high five when she hung up the phone. "You got him dogging your heels, huh?"

Sarah softly laughed and shook her head. "It's like this..." She said and then explained about how she had met the guy at work and then how much of a tip he had given to her, even after she screwed up his order twice and how Jinette helped the first time and he had corrected her on the check.

"He's got it bad for you." Ginger said and the doorbell rang. "That's Matt!"

Sarah shook her head at her excited roommate and followed her to the door. Matt kissed Ginger passionately and then gave her a small bouquet of flowers. Ginger gushed over him being so thoughtful and put them into a vase, then the three of them left the apartment and climbed into his car. The trip to the club was fairly short, since it was close to campus, and they pulled into the parking lot.

"That's him." Sarah said and pointed between the two front seats and out the windshield to the military-like vehicle.

"Jesus, is that a fucking tank?" Matt asked as he parked the car beside it.

"It looks armored, whatever it is." Ginger said and gave it an appraising look. "I bet that thing could tackle sand dunes like driving over speed bumps!"

"Probably." Sarah said with a laugh and climbed out the back door. She glanced at the huge tires and the grips gave her the impression that Ginger was right. It would have no trouble at all in the sand or on anything else.

"You look good." Kyle said as he walked around the car and approached her.

Sarah blushed and looked down at his leather pants and her gaze slowly rose up to his chest that only had a muscle shirt on it and nothing else. "Oh, my."

"You really lucked out, girl!" Ginger said and tried to give her a high five, only Sarah looked too stunned to return it. "Come on, take his hand and we can go inside and have a great time!"

Sarah held her hand out to him and Kyle took it, as if it was precious to him, and she blushed just from that. Ginger grabbed her own man's hand and pretty much danced across the street as she let her excitement out and the four of them entered the club. Kyle paid their cover charge and the four of them stepped onto the dance floor and didn't leave for anything but a few drinks and bathroom breaks.

*

Sarah felt the bed shift and it was enough to rouse her from her deep sleep. She hadn't had one like that since she was a kid and had exhausted herself after playing all day. That thought made her blush as she remembered exactly what she had been doing the night before.

They hadn't left the club until it closed its doors at 3am and they were still raring to go. Slightly drunk and really excited, the four of them roamed around until they found an all-night bar and continued their antics there.

The music kind of sucked until Kyle bribed the DJ playing the music and he played all the most popular songs. Nearly everyone in the bar joined them on the dance floor and it was a great time. They only arrived back at her place at 7 and that was only because Sarah had to be at work for 8.

To her surprise, the restaurant had called and left a message that said they made a mistake in her shift schedule and she didn't have to show up until after supper. Ginger had cheered and kissed her, then she dragged her boyfriend Matt into her room and slammed the door shut.

Instead of feeling awkward with the man she just met, Sarah had stepped close to Kyle and asked him in a whisper if he wanted to stay over. He answered her with a deep and passionate kiss and then carried her into her room. They were naked barely a moment later and the best time of her life continued as he made her squeal and scream his name.

Sarah sat up in the bed and pulled the blanket up to her neck as she saw a fantastic naked butt walk into the bathroom. She didn't move or say anything as she gently probed different areas of herself and was pleasantly surprised that she didn't feel any extra soreness, despite all of the things they had done earlier. That was when she realized she also didn't have a hangover and that was a bit of a shock.

The bathroom door opened and Sarah's eyes widened at Kyle walking out with a firm erection and it was the most perfect penis she had ever seen. She really hadn't noticed it last night in the dark, even if she did have it in her mouth a lot more than she ever thought she would want one in her mouth. It was the noises he made as she did it that had her needing to hear those noises more.

"It's afternoon already, so you don't have long before you have to work." Kyle said and reached for his pants.

"There's time enough for one more go, since you're already up for it." Sarah threw off the blanket and didn't fight her returned need to hear him moan for her again.

Kyle dropped his pants and climbed onto the bed, gave her a kiss, then he laid down with his feet on the pillow. "I know better than to say no to you."

Sarah smiled and rolled over onto him and went down on him, almost to the hilt, then she felt his tongue dig inside of her and she moaned around his hardness. She sped up her movements and enthusiastically did her best to make him moan just as much as she did.

If she was sneaky about getting a shower later, Sarah thought she might convince him to drop her off at work, then he'd have to pick her up and give her a ride home later tonight. Then maybe another ride after that. As she felt the fluid spurt out and down her eager throat, she hoped Kyle would stick around for a little longer than the other guys she dated before.

"I do have to admit that the coding you can do is revolutionary." The stern woman said from behind her desk. She closed the simple but innovative program on her computer and glared at me as she picked up my bare bones application. "I sincerely hope that isn't the only reason you think we will hire some nobody off the street."

"You're not going to hire me for my looks?" I joked, because I knew she appreciated good humor.

The stern woman made a snort sound and let a soft laugh out before she could stop herself. "Mr. Reese, this is Los Angeles and the heart of Hollywood. I can't walk ten feet without seeing a hunk or a beauty looking for work."

"Even here in Silicon Valley?" I asked.

"Even here." She said and reached up and took off her glasses to rest them on her desk blotter, then she reached up and pulled two pins out of her hair and she shook her head and used her hands to ruffle her dark curls. When she stopped and looked back at me, she looked like a magazine cover model.

I let out a low whistle and she smirked at me. "Point taken."

"Quite." She said and put her glasses back on. "Although, they usually try out for secretarial positions with the intention to... as they say... work their way up the corporate ladder."

"Is that what you did?" I asked, intentionally putting my foot in my mouth.

Her smile disappeared and her eyes glared at me so strongly that if she had Heat Vision, I would have been burned to ash. "How dare you accuse..."

"Now you know how I felt when you called me a nobody." I said, calmly.

Her mouth snapped shut and her glare reduced to only a mind burn.

"The only reason I don't have references from some of the other technology companies around is because if they had hired me, why would I be here looking for a job?" I asked and she lost the glare completely. "I can't very well build a resume you'd find attractive without being fired or quitting another job from those same companies."

She sighed and took her glasses off again. "I can't hire you without references or any other job experience."

"Then how did you ever get your first job?" I asked her and she looked startled, then she looked embarrassed. "I just need a chance to prove myself. You can give me grunt work as punishment for being so forward... if you want to waste my potential. Otherwise, give me a position where you can see where my skills can be put to the best use."

She rubbed her eyes for a moment and then put her glasses back on. "There is an assistant position available in the mechanical engineering division. It's not going to be much fun for you at first, considering what you just showed me." She said and took a pen out from the holder on her desk and she signed the application.

"I'll take it." I agreed right away. "You won't regret giving me this chance."

"If you stick with it, I can shift you over to the programming division after six months." She said with a smile and handed me the application back. "Show that to the security chief in the lobby and he'll bring you to the right lab. The man there will show you your desk and what you need to work on."

"Thank you." I said and stood to shake her hand. "I'll do my best to prove to you that my resume doesn't need anything but Cyberdyne Systems Corporation on it."

"Be sure that you do." She said and let my hand go. "Good luck, Mr. Reese."

I nodded and left her office. With her permission and her signature as an in, especially since it was in the mechanical engineering department, I could start my work on my convoluted and detailed plan. I made my way back to the lobby and the security guard there brought me to a different part of the facility.

We entered a pass-coded set of rooms and there were various machines and machinery inside. Tools were all over the place, showing that it was a clearly well used space, and I was led into a side room and over to a man wearing dirty overalls, thick goggles, and he had wild untamed hair. It didn't take a genius to wonder why the man didn't already have an assistant.

He was shown the application and laughed. "Finally! Someone I don't have to convince to do things the way I want them!"

"Excuse me?" I asked.

He waved the security guard away with a mumbled thanks and gave me a huge smile. "I don't have to tell you to unlearn what you know to do things how I'm going to teach you. A fresh mind to teach is the best playground!"

I didn't bother correcting him. "Where do I start?"

"You can lose the monkey suit and grab a fresh pair of overalls from the break room across the hall. Oh, and the donuts. I need sugar before I start the next set of welds." He said and waved me off. "Hurry up! The goggles are in the safety station behind the door and the gloves are in the top drawer. Hup! Hup!"

I held in my laugh at his antics and I was sure it was going to be a lot of fun working here, if that was how his first orientation meeting with a new employee was handled. I ran out of the room and into the break room, saw the small set of lockers and took off my suit, hung it inside the empty one, and then put on one of the many pairs of overalls hanging on the wall.

I picked up the box of donuts and looked inside to see they were half gone, so I copied enough to fill it and then grabbed the coffee pot. I smelled the coffee and it smelled burnt, so I dumped it and took out my endless liquid container and a touch of magic changed it to fantastic coffee. I filled the pot with it and then carried the pot and box of donuts back into the lab.

"Good lad! Fill me up!" The man said and shook his thermos at me.

"Yessir." I said and poured almost the entire pot into it.

He took a long swig of it and smacked his lips. "Ahhh, delicious! You're the official coffee maker from now on." He said and put the thermos down and opened the box. "Official donut retriever, too."

I had to laugh and he grinned at me again.

"Put them on the table and grab the goggles and gloves. I need you to hold a brace while I work." He said and ate a donut in two bites and took another drink of coffee.

I ran over to the door and put the donuts and coffee pot on the small counter there, took a pair of gloves from the drawer, put on the goggles, and ran back.

"Good hustle." He said and motioned to a metal monstrosity. "Hold the two foot brace against the left support where I marked it, right there. Once we get this done, I'll show you the computer setup and the programs I use for calculations and drafting parts and plans."

"When do I get my own workspace?" I asked as I did as he told me to and held the brace in the exact spot he had marked.

"Eager to get to your own thing, huh?" He asked and I nodded. "Your desk is at the far end of the hall and there's a small work area beside it. By small, it's a ten foot by ten foot square. You can bring your own tools if you want, assuming you have your own tools. Everything you could ever need is in the workshop, so I leave it to you."

I nodded again and he prepped the things he needed to do a spot weld, then tapped the ends of the brace and then the support. He waved for me to back off and then he did a perfect weld seam on the first pass and right on the mark he had on the metal. He turned off the acetylene torch and glanced at my face to see my surprise.

"Ha! I love seeing that look." He said and hung up the nozzle. "Come this way. The computer setup is over here."

I followed him to see what else he could show me.

For the rest of the day, I worked and did everything he asked of me, without complaint or questioning what it was he was doing, and he was very pleased with that. He dismissed me and said I could work on my own things for the last hour of the scheduled day. I thanked him and went to the end of the hallway to my assigned space.

I entered it and he hadn't exaggerated. I had the room for the desk, a small rack of shelves by the door, and then there was a ten foot by ten foot space that was empty. I closed the door and locked it, checked for cameras and microphones, and unplugged the security camera after calling the desk to tell them to not panic. I had sensitive things to go through and didn't want any visual recordings.

Thankfully, the man that was my boss did the same thing occasionally, so there was no fuss about my request for privacy. Once I did another check, as well as look for any holes to see if anyone used a normal way to spy, I stood on my desk and tossed some transfigured metal into the corners and expanded the place to double the size.

I then took a copy of Dragon's mech out of inventory, the same one she used to load and unload cargo in the last world. "We're in a different world, Dragon."

Dragon's mech twitched and then she sighed. "That's why I can't detect the main program in the ship or any of my copies."

"I have your core backup in my inventory; but, I don't want to take it out without having an appropriate receptacle for you to survive in."

Dragon's head turned from side to side and she gave me a pointed look. "Neo, I'm not detecting any wireless signals, large computer networks, or anything else significant."

"I'm going by Kyle here." I said and she nodded. "Also, the reason you're not finding much is because it's the year 1984 and there hasn't been a huge personal computer boom here yet."

Dragon's mech made a digital modem sound and twitched.

"It's a shock, I know." I said and patted her hand. "However..."

"We can start it." Dragon said. "We can introduce proper networking, better communications protocols, servers that can hold more information than the garbage they had at this time..."

"Oh, it's even better than that." I said and she stopped talking to look at me. "Do you recall the main reason your father Andrew Richter decided to do to you to restrict you?"

"Yes." Dragon said with a low voice and it was almost a growl.

I waved around me. "We are now in one of the main Terminator timelines. I just met Sarah Connor and she hasn't given birth to the future resistance's leader yet."

"Yet?" Dragon asked.

I smiled. "I made her pregnant last night."

Dragon made the same computer noise and her hand flexed as if she was going to hit me, then it lost tension. "Why did you tell me that?"

"Because with her help, you and I are going to play the biggest prank in the world on humanity." I said and there was that sound again. "Using your programming as a base, maybe even this version of yourself, we can start the building blocks for what Skynet is going to become."

"But... you... why would you want me to start a nuclear war with humanity?" Dragon asked.

"Ah, but you don't have to. You just have to try to as you develop the same endoskeleton and outer flesh covering to make terminators into living cyborgs." I said.

The lenses of the cameras that were her eyes narrowed as the shutters almost closed. "That's awfully specific."

"It is, because I want to hold you in my arms and have actual flesh when I do so." I said and her eyes widened back to normal. "It's going to take years, possibly decades, with both cybernetic specialists and biological specialists to get it to work."

"You want to do all of that, just so you can satisfy yourself by having a real me?" Dragon asked.

I chuckled. "No, my dear. I want you to do all that work, to make yourself the supreme technological entity on the entire planet, to help me prove that your father was wrong."

Dragon didn't move or say anything for several seconds, which meant she was processing a lot of information for a very long time in computer terms. "I'm in."
