Chapter 4 - CHAPTER 4

He placed rice and one serving of each dish he had cooked on my plate. He also poured me some juice. Was he really this kind? Maybe because he already got my V, that's why he was acting like this now?

"If you think I'm taking care of you just because you gave yourself to me, you're wrong," he said, and I almost spat out the food I was chewing.

"Is this how you treat every girl you get? You bring them to your condo and serve them?" I asked sarcastically.

"Hell no! Only you, Athena," he said firmly, leaving me stunned.

He took out a small box and placed it in front of me. When he opened it, a diamond ring was revealed. It was expensive—the kind of jewelry you wouldn't normally expect.

"What's this? Your payment for me?" I asked with a bitter tone.

"I'm not for sale, Kenji. Didn't I give myself to y—" I didn't finish my words because he suddenly grabbed my hand and slipped the ring onto my finger.

"From now on, I'm your boyfriend, and you're my girlfriend."

This guy had completely lost his mind.

"What nonsense are you doing, Kenji? Boyfriend and girlfriend? Are you crazy?" I asked, confused.

"I love you, Athena. Do you think I'll let you go back to or stay with your James? After making a move on you, BIG NO! Athy," he said firmly.

"B-but Kenji, how am I supposed to tell my friends about this? And is this even allowed—that just like that, we're together?"

"Tell them I've been courting you for a long time, that I kept showing up around you, and you just kept it from them. So simple, Athena," he said and drank his juice.

"Simple for you, but Kenji, I don't love you. I don't even know if I can love you," I told him, and his eyes darkened.

"Then I'll make you fall in love with me. I'll wait for you to love me, Athy, no matter how long it takes," he said, continuing to eat.

I was so confused. Was this even possible? What was happening?! An instant boyfriend, instant girlfriend?

" Are you serious, Kenji?" I asked him.

"Yes, Athy, I'm serious. I'm not playing with you. It's up to you if you want to play games with me, but as far as I'm concerned, I love you," he said seriously.

His eyes showed no trace of lies—it looked completely genuine.

"Fine, I'll agree. You're my boyfriend, I'm your girlfriend. But if I realize that I really don't love you, then we'll break up."

"I'll give my best, Athy."

"But J-James… Kenji, we're not even broken up yet. I haven't told him it's over," I said hoarsely.

"He broke up with you himself. Using your phone, I messaged him. Check it," he said and placed my phone on the table, which he had taken from his pocket.

I quickly checked what he was talking about—it was a picture of me lying in bed, wrapped in a blanket, my back turned, and he had sent it to James.

"Your girl enjoyed last night with me, and made love with me. I guess she came to her senses," I read aloud the message Kenji sent to James using my phone.

I didn't speak. He wasn't wrong for doing that. I did come to my senses last night, and I had already planned on breaking up—I was just too lazy to type it.

"We have rules, Athena," Kenji said.

"What rules?" I asked quickly, like a child.

"First, you won't entertain any guys who like you—you'll stay away from them. Second, I'll always pick you up and take you home. Third, you'll always tell me when you're going out and update me about what's happening in your life. And last, when you finally love me, I'll introduce you to my parents, and you'll introduce me to yours."

I was almost speechless at his nonstop declarations. What the hell? Meet the parents? And that "life update" thing was too much—my own mom and dad didn't even require that! And why the hell should I ask permission from him?

"You should do the same, Kenji!" I said loudly.

"Of course, baby, I'll do that too. Now, go take a bath before we're late for class," he ordered.

"Wait, I don't have my uniform here, it's at home," I told him.

"I already bought you a new one, complete set. I know you usually leave things in your locker," he said.

I slowly walked to the living room where the uniform was. I checked everything—even underwear was there.

"Y-you know my bra size?" I asked absentmindedly.

"Of course. I didn't just touch your chest last night for nothing," he said with a laugh, making me embarrassed.

This guy was completely insane. He should be thankful I agreed to what he wanted.

"Fine, I'll take a bath now."

I went straight into his room and showered in his bathroom.

"Athena, listen to yourself. No matter what happens, don't you ever fall in love with that crazy Kenji," I whispered to myself.

"Don't you dare love him. Remember all the times he pissed you off. Don't be stupid in love. He probably just played with you—just go along with what he wants, okay?"

I was practically losing my mind while talking to myself inside the bathroom. I hurried up with my shower. After finishing, I dressed quickly.

When I came out, there were two paper bags on the bed. I went closer and looked inside—it was the lip tint I always used, face powder, and a hair blower. I was sure these were from Kenji, but it was strange how he knew the exact things I used on my face.

While I was drying my hair, Kenji entered the room, already in his uniform, and I felt him approach me.

"Let me handle this, finish what you're doing," he said, taking the blower from me. So I just put powder on my face and applied lip tint. Even with just this, I still looked beautiful.

"You know how to use that?" I asked him.

"Yeah," he answered briefly.

"Do you also do this for your other girls?" I teased.

"No. Only for you."

Just three words, but they left me speechless.

When Kenji finished drying my hair, I sprayed the perfume he had given me. I arranged my things on the table. Since we were already in a relationship, I thought of leaving some stuff there so I wouldn't need to bring them all the time.

I rode in Kenji's car, and he drove as we headed to school. I couldn't help but think about the questions my two friends would throw at me later. I was sure many people would be shocked and surprised. Maybe even some girls would suddenly try to fight me—ugh, I'd definitely fight back if they dared.

My thoughts were interrupted when my phone rang. Mommy was calling.

"Hello, Mommy, good morning," I greeted cheerfully. I already knew what she was about to say since I didn't go home last night.

"Where did you sleep, hija? Are you okay, sweetheart? Where are you now?" Mommy's

voice was gentle, but I knew she was worried.

"Ahm, Mommy, don't worry, I'm okay. I slept at Janice's house. I didn't get to update you because we were loaded with projects," I lied

"Is that so, hija? Where are you now?" she asked again.

"I'm on my way to school, Mommy. Later, I promise, I'll go home. Sorry, Mom."

"It's okay, hija. I know Janice won't let anything happen to you. Later, let's have dinner, alright?" Mommy said happily.

"Okay, Mom. Thank you, I love you," I replied before ending the call.

I slipped my phone back into the pocket of my skirt and looked at the road ahead. Thank goodness there was no traffic. There was still plenty of time before the first subject—enough time for me to smoke behind the school later.
