Chapter 24 - Chapter 24: Out Of Trouble

A bright purple light flashed, almost illuminating the entire night sky.

Even someone as strong as Thanos could not block the power of the Power Gem. A sudden close-range attack caught him off guard. By the time he realized something was wrong, it was too late. The thunder light mixed with the Power Gem's energy, shrouding Thanos. Unable to resist even a little, he flew backward in an instant, crashing through countless buildings. A large area of surrounding ship cabins was reduced to ruins. From a distance, Holy Place No. 2 seemed to have opened a massive dark purple hole, and the atmosphere of destruction raged everywhere.

Obsidian Fang, standing behind Thanos, was all sent flying. Even though Thanos blocked most of the attacks, their physiques were far from his toughness, and all of them were seriously injured. Among them, Ebony Maw, weaker in physique, would have been a corpse if he hadn't been far away and dragged past Black Dwarf to block the critical moment.

Black Dwarf was truly unlucky—damage resistance first, benefits later…

Thor yanked Nebula across and rushed to the nearest fighter. Although the current Obsidian Fang IV had no ability to resist, Thanos would never die so easily, and it would be difficult for them to escape once he reacted.

"Are you going to stop us?" Thor looked at Gamora, an electric arc brewing in his palm. Although she didn't appear hostile, if she dared to interfere, he would show no mercy.

"No, I want you to take care of my sister and don't get caught again." She threw out a small card. Fighters that used the card would be identified as their own. This was what she obtained after winning the duel between the sisters—the authority of this card was far higher than that of ordinary soldiers.

Thor caught the card and jumped onto the fighter plane with Nebula.

He didn't think about taking Gamora. Although she was also an adopted daughter of Thanos, Gamora's position in Thanos' heart was by no means comparable to Nebula's. If she were taken away, Thanos would hunt and kill them across the universe.

The fighter plane roared and took off, rushing into the night sky. The previous explosion had been too violent; surrounding fleets were focused on Holy Place No. 2, and countless rescue planes circled above. No one noticed a plane taking off. Even if they did, it would be assumed to be part of the rescue.

Not long after leaving, Thanos walked up. Apart from his broken battle armor, there were no obvious injuries on his body.

Gamora knelt and pleaded: "I'm sorry, Father. I'm not his match."

"You're right," Thanos said flatly, waving his hand. "Knowing an enemy is invincible, it is foolish to rush forward to die." As a generation of heroes, Thanos often behaved very generously.

Ebony Maw walked up behind him, gnashing his teeth. "Master, they left not long ago. If we catch up now…"

"No need," Thanos shook his head. "Every jump point has many options. It's unlikely they'll be caught. Besides, it's not time to start a war with Asgard. The power just now—that must have been from the Infinity Gems, right?"

Thanos took a deep look at the dark starry sky and said slowly, "The locations of the three gems—Time, Space, and Mind—have been determined. Three remain. Intensify the search. The universe needs redemption, and there isn't much time to rest before our ideals are realized. I am destiny!"

"Your sister actually cares about you very much. The one you should really hate is Thanos."

Through several teleportation points in a row, Thor turned back and said while setting his destination. Now that she had been brought in, it was necessary to instill the correct ideas in her, to prevent her from becoming as extreme as before.

Nebula didn't speak; today had given her too much shock.

"Set… go to Midgard."

"Please confirm."

"Confirm."

Thor pressed the button with one hand.

"Wait!" Lyra's exclaimed voice suddenly came to mind…
