Generally speaking, every Nen ability comes with its own strengths and weaknesses.
If one can find other Nen users whose abilities complement their own, the synergy can unleash power far beyond their individual limits.
The leather-clad woman's ability allowed her to gain Nen whenever she inflicted damage. The bespectacled man would then transfer that accumulated Nen to the hip-hop guy, supplying him with an endless stream of energy to fight.
At the same time, the bespectacled man himself was like a massive power bank, ready at any moment to top up the other two with Nen.
If either the leather-clad woman or the bespectacled man were injured, the bespectacled man could redirect that damage onto the hip-hop guy.
As long as it was kept within a safe threshold, this so-called "damage" was essentially a donation to their side.
The combination of their three abilities showcased exceptional stamina and endurance.
Linck considered the team to be almost perfect, though he saw two issues for now.
First:
Their average combat strength was not particularly high. Even with the hip-hop guy boosted to his absolute limit, he could only reach B+ rank at best. At that point, his own injuries would be severe, and he wouldn't be able to hold out for long.
Second:
This team could absorb Nen and transfer damage, but they couldn't actually heal the injuries.
If the fight dragged on and all three became wounded, they'd eventually be unable to continue. Adding a healing-type Nen user would greatly improve their survivability.
Unfortunately, healers were rare to begin with
Not to mention, the bespectacled man's ability was bound by a restriction and oath, allowing him to use it only on family members.
To Linck, the Hunter × Hunter world had two main things that captivated him most.
First:
Its vast and boundless world.
He still couldn't forget the shock he felt when he first learned from the manga that the entirety of the Six Continents was just a small group of islands on a place called Mobius Lake.
The sheer scale of Hunter × Hunter's worldbuilding was, in his opinion, unmatched in any anime or manga he'd ever seen!
A landmass roughly equivalent in size to the Blue Planet was, in reality, merely a speck on a giant lake.
And beyond that massive lake lay the Dark Continent, an expanse countless times larger and more dangerous.
Second:
The endless variety of strange and fascinating Nen abilities.
There was "Skill Hunter," which let its user steal another's Nen ability if certain conditions were met.
There was the "Apartment Complex," where placing one's hand on an object could create an entire separate space.
…
These bizarre abilities were another reason he loved this world.
Linck was deeply curious by nature and loved exploring. The countless locations and abilities in Hunter × Hunter perfectly satisfied his thirst for discovery.
To him, all of this pointed to one thing, limitless possibilities!
And since stronger abilities often came with stricter conditions, Nen battles were, in a sense, wars of information,
Seeing who could figure out the other's abilities first.
Of course, that only applied when the two sides' overall strength wasn't too far apart.
This also highlighted just how overpowered his own Pokédex ability was, being able to instantly obtain critical information at a glance.
Without it, Pihito and the others had to slowly analyze the three siblings' abilities step by step.
"You really don't know your place…"
Pihito's lips curled into a grin, a predatory gleam flashing in her eyes as she spread her arms wide.
Countless Nen-formed insects materialized out of thin air and surged toward the trio.
The incessant chittering filled the air, quickly swelling into a massive swarm.
Anyone with trypophobia would likely faint on the spot at the sight.
Name: Pihito
Strength: B
Nen Ability: Swarm of Resentment (Conjuration Type)
She could conjure a massive insect swarm to attack, though they would never deliver a clean one-hit kill.
Instead, the swarm would gnaw at the target bit by bit until death, maximizing the chances of generating Death Nen.
If the victim, in their agony, produced Death Nen, the swarm could absorb it at no cost.
Each absorption made the swarm even deadlier.
As the saying goes, a person's Nen ability reflects their personality to some extent.
For example, Hisoka's "Bungee Gum" revealed him to be a habitual liar and skilled actor.
The abilities of the bespectacled man and his two siblings reflected the deep familial bond they shared.
Nen wasn't something you could just will into existence in whatever form you liked.
Every ability was one-of-a-kind, shaped by the user's unique blend of traits and experiences.
Judging from Pihito's ability, it was obvious she wasn't the honorable type.
So it was no surprise she was capable of such treacherous acts.
