Chapter 1 - Chapter 1 : Ordinary Flower

"this world originally have no meaning, nonexistence."

"It's the human that dared to give meaning, for they fear to something they don't understand"

"They think highly of themselves, thinking their meaning have been greatly honored. In the end, their meaning was just something to be tainted by biases. What a pity one, for the truth they fear have lunged at them and stabbed their tongue."

Green grass swaying gently to the caresses of the wind. Soft embrace of the sunlight onto the heavily trees. The sun slowly waving to the end of the earth, with endearing color of red and yellow.

Only to be disturbed by the laughter of children.

I, Rui, have been enjoying the view on top of the rooftop of the school only to be disturbed by these....human. i loath them, for their presence have greatly disturbed the world. I looked down onto the ground floor and watch them closely. My eyes shows a glint of anger and bloodlust, what even infuriating was the children didn't even notice it.

I turned back and went downstairs headed to the exit. "these fools deserve no attention from me". i slowly mutter under my breath as i descended the stairs. The classes have ended early and i have no intention of wasting my time at school no more. its time to go home. I shift my messenger bag on my shoulder, fixed my folded jacket and headed to exit. i thought, i have to be at least fabulous even if i have to meet these fools.

I walked outside and saw the children playing football in front of the gate. once again my mind wave onto the thought of such a disturbing being exist in this world. i avoided the so called "football area" and headed to my house. this sore body and lazy mind have swallowed big lump of humanities madness throughout the whole day and i cant bear it no more.

As i walking back to my house, i was disturbed by one of my childhood friend, Yuki. somehow i didn't treat her as those other fools. she was the only one that treated me different since i was small.

"you literally didn't waited for me!" she said as she jumping on my back. i struggle to maintain my stand and falls down.

"i thought you were gone of first. you pretended as if you don't know me at school for some reason and that kind of pisses me off." i let out a friendly scowl as i look away from her.

"i just quite nervous to talk to you at school jeez. i don't want others to see us in a weird way." she said.

before i could said a word, my eyes drafted onto the long gaze of the sun drifting slowly to the edge of the world. the cloud somehow have been arranged just for me to watch this particular scene.

"Hey, Yuki."

"Yeah, Rui?"

"would you say something like this scene was made only for myself?"

"that's a sick perspective. wouldn't it be better if you include me?"

"it's just, i think that observing to the world have an insight that is beautiful. that in this only moment, there's no one are in possession of this scene. this angle, this eyes, are only mine. not even god could hold these."

Yuki stared at me with slightly widen eyes, going along with a soft smile afterwards. I have said this quite few times before that it becoming a habit, regardless, she challenged my views often and that made me feels...clarity.

"You make me feel outcasted here." She said along with a small pout. this incredible small creature have the audacity to say those words playfully. what a truly crime.

For a long peaceful silence creeped onto the atmosphere, we arrived at my house. we wave goodbye and my leg stopped at the front door of my house. i knew that my family is inside, my mother, my brothers, and absence father.

i pull a long breath and knocked on the door before stepping in.

"I'm back."

my mother, holding dinner onto her hand and served it on the plate. she put her gaze onto mine and shouted. her sweat slightly disturbed her vision, pooling onto her eyelids. looking at her dirty apron, i smile slightly finding the situation quite endearing.

"you finally come back. are you purposedly stayed behind to not help me in the kitchen?!"

that's sentence finally bring me back to life and slightly look away. Something about her voice made me feels... threatened.

"no mother, i had an extra class today due to upcoming exam", i lied.

"then you have 5 minutes to help with the plate and foods, no?" she replied.

I sighed heavily and helped her in the kitchen with the foods. my brothers are a little too small of a capabilities to help her, so logically i did. after few minutes, the dinner were ready and i head to have a quick shower. it was a hot day, with these uniform that is a must to wear at school, it was a suffering. regardless, the cold water flows on body, with it soothing sensation that embraced me make such an ethereal moment in my everyday life.

the dinner was prepared, and i finished taking shower. my brothers and mother went ahead to have dinner first since i was a bit little late due to taking shower. i head downstairs, my footstep creeping across the house. i arrived at the kitchen and immediately sat down on the chair, having no patience left to halt my dinner. my mother looked at me and shakes her head.

"Are you even ate at school? you looked so hungry."

My ears betray my experience of listening for 17 years, as if i went deaf, ignoring my mother's question. My hand immediately went ahead ravish the dinner. it was delicious, they say mother's cooking is the best.

We went and had dinner with little small talk about our day. it was exhausting after all, no matter how many questions thrown, its obvious that we are totally toasted for the day.

After dinner, i went to my room and prepared to sleep. today, was like another day before. nothing out of ordinary. if i live like this, i wonder, would i grow old only to be bored and exhausted by our daily life that even we don't favor in our interest?

...

that's a question.
