Kaito year 14
"It's time!" Kaito yells early in the morning. A pillow is thrown at his face. "Shut up, it's too early in the morning for all that yelling." Kate shushes from across the room.
Kaito laughs and hops out of bed. He walks over to Kate and nudges her. She grumbles. Kaito nudges her again, then shakes her. She rolls over, looking annoyed, and says, "What, Kaito?"
He points to the wall. "Today's the day! I turned 14 yesterday that means I can go outside!" Kaito says happily. Kate sits up yawning. "It's time already?" She asks, stretching.
Kaito nods and says, "Yep! We gotta go find mom." Kate looks at the clock on the wall. "She's probably already at the gate," Kate says. "You know you're her favorite." Kate messes with Kaito's hair and says, "You got so big, where'd my little brother even go?" Kaito giggles and says, "I'm right in front of you!"
His eye is all healed up besides a slit in his eyebrow. He's also grown to be taller then his big sister now.
Kate gets up from bed. "Go wait for me outside, i'm gonna get ready." Kate says and Kaito happily walks away.
As he leaves the room Kate has a tight feeling in her chest.
Kaito walks outside and he's greeted by his 3 younger siblings. "Hello, big brother." Kailey greets him.
Kaito pets the three of them on their heads. The twins biting at his fingers. "Hey guys, today's the day my adventure starts!" He says happily. The younger siblings look at eachother, and then they all look back at him with teary eyes.
His younger siblings crowd around him crying. Kaito hurriedly calms them down. "Relax it's ok guys!" He says to them.
Kailey cries. "No it's not you're gonna die!" She cries.
Kaito is shocked. "Who told you that?!" He shouts. "Kaid told us before he left." Kaley tells.
Kaito looks annoyed. Kaid had left two years ago, but this is something he would say to them. "He was just joking!" He says trying to save the moment. Kai sniffles. "Really?" He asks. Kaito laughs. "Really, i'll be ok." He says with a gentle smiles.
The three stop crying. They all hug him. "We'll miss you." They say in unison. Kaito smiles and hugs them back. "I'll miss you all too." He says but quickly springs back. "But, don't worry, i'll be back!" He reassures them.
They all nod. "How long will you be gone?" Kailey asks. Kaito shrugs. "However long it takes, i guess." He says. She gives him a big hug. "See you later, big brother." Kailey says, as the other siblings wave goodbye, he continues forwards.
He says goodbye to the various people around the village, as he walks through he remembers the trouble Kaid, Kate, Amire and himself would cause around the village. He laughs and wonders what he'll get up to outside of the village.
He makes it to the gate and Kate has caught up to him. "Hey, Kite." She says. "Hey, Kate." He says back.
Kate looks down. "It feels like time just flew right past me." Kate says to him. Her mood is somber, Kaito can see it. "What's got you down?" Kaito asks. "Kaid left, and now so are you. It just feels like all our moments together," She pauses, and takes a deep breath. "I wish I spent more time with you two." She says, tears in her eyes.
Kaito just hugs his sister. "Don't worry Kate, i'm sure we're gonna have tons of time, to make tons of more memories together." Kaito says. Kaito then laughs. "We might even run into eachother while you're out exploring ruins!" He says trying to cheer her up.
She wipes her eyes, and smiles. "Yeah, I know, just that big room we all grew up in is gonna feel empty without you two." She says. She then slaps her cheeks. "But this isn't about me, you get out there, and follow your dream Kite!" Kate says to hype him up. Kaito laughs. "You know i will!" Kaito says as he continues forwards.
Kate watches him walk away, already missing him.
He makes it to the gate where he finds Moon. "Hey mom!" Kaito greets her. Moon smiles back warmly. "Hello my baby." She hugs Kaito "All ready to go?" She asks. Kaito nods. "All packed." He says. "Camping supplies, Extra cutlery, Spices for cooking, your book." Moon does a quick checklist. "A change of clothes... or two?" Moon asks.
Kaito shakes his head. "Not important enough!" He happily says. Moon teleports away and then teleports back shoving clothes in his bag. "Very, very important." She says.
Moon hugs him again. "I don't wanna hold you up, I know you have a "World to take" and all." She says to him.
"Just remember Kaito, do not share your name with anyone, be careful, and have fun." Moon says as she opens the gate for him. "OH," She shouts shocking Kaito. "And don't use public bathrooms." She warns. Kaito laughs.
Kaito leaves and Moon watches him closely. She smiles. "You say you'll be careful, but if i learned anything." She laughs. "You're gonna do everything but that." She says as she continues to watch him happily walk.
Before long he's out of sight and she shuts the gate. "Shoot did i miss him?!" Amire runs over in a hurry. Moon laughs. "Just now actually." She says. Amire throws her scarf. "Dang it! I had a whole speech lined up and everything!" Amire shouts.
Kaito walks from the forest to the familiar plains outside. He walks in the opposite direction of the village from last time and is on his way. Kaito walks around happily, and as he gets further and further away from his home forest, the feeling that his adventure is really happening sets in.
He walks for hours and hours seeing new things along the way his excitement never stops, but after all the walking. His stomach begins rumbling.
"I'm getting hungry." Kaito thinks to himself. He opens his bag to find all he has is jerky. Though he doesn't dislike jerky. He'll eat anything. His supply still was short.
He looks around and sees a small forest nearby. He decides to head over there and see if he can find something to eat.
Kaito looks up one of the many trees and sees a fresh bunch of apples at the top. His eyes are filled with nothing but wanting the apples. "NEED!" He says determined as he drops his bag and begins climbing the tree.
One branch at a time he climbs the large tree. Kaito's always been a great climber, so he has no problem at all getting up the tree. He arrives at the top and he quickly gets to eating the apples. "These are so gwood!" He happily kicks his feet while eating the apples.
While eating, the tree begins to rumble. Kaito holds his apples close, careful not to let any of them fall. He looks around to see the cause of the rumbling and sees a gigantic monster easily 40 meters tall or more. "It's huge!" he says with a smile. He wonders how something this large just snuck up on him. Kaito decides to go over to it since it doesn't look dangerous. The monster is shining beautifully like it's made out of crystal.
The giant stood on four legs and had a long trunk like an elephant. But its head was otherwise flat, except for the trunk, and spines poked out of its back like mountains. Kaito grabbed onto its long nose, but to his surprise, it bothered the beast.
The giant elephant flings Kaito miles into the sky in seconds. He looks around, and immediately panics.
But he quickly calms down since it's actually pretty beautiful up here. The clouds stretch far beyond the horizon. The sun shines greatly on top and he just stares in awe at the sight. "This is amazing!" He shouts. He continues looking and thinks he sees something in the clouds. Before he can analyze for too long he begins falling, But before he dropped he could've sworn he saw an island up there.
Kaito begins freefalling miles out of the air. He laughs as he falls through the sky. "This is so cool!" He shouts. initially he was happy, but as he sees the ground approaching him, or rather him approaching it his mood changed. "How do I land?" He thinks before he looks down.
Kaito is in a freefall from a great height. He tries to swim upward, but it's no use. He's falling too fast. He's thinking of any way to save himself. Then he sees a giant wooly creature walking around. He aims for it and falls into the pillowy fur. He's laughing at his close call. "Thanks wooly." He pats the monsters back and then tosses it an apple, before jumping off.
Kaito continues on his way happily. He finds a bridge and he marvels at the sight. "How is this thing up?!" He looks down at the hole miles deep. He looks around and sees the field continues on the other side and he could walk around the hole but it'd take an extra twenty minuets. He happily makes his way across.
The bridge begins shaking. He looks around observantly. A slash goes quickly for his head. Kaito quickly ducks under the attack and a monster screeches as it roars down at him. "Some kinda flying bat?" He says as he inspects it.
He sees it's razor sharp claws, and laughs a bit. "Gotta get off this floaty thing, then I can handle you!" He begins sprinting. The monster continues to swip at him as he ducks around the attacks. The bat goes under the bridge and flies through it causing the rope at the end to shake. Kaito sees this and runs faster. The bat tries to fly up at him again. He ducks under the rope and uses it to swing into the bat beast.
He grabs onto it's back and uses it to fly himself across. The beasts roars violently and tosses him around trying to throw him off. Kaito laughs as he holds onto it's wings.
He attempts to fly it into the ground but it's much stronger then he thought it way. "What do they feed you?!" He yells as it begins barrel rolling. Kaito holds on tight trying not to fall but his pouch slips open releasing his apples. "MY APPLES!" Kaito shouts.
The beasts flies towards the ground at an insane speed, then instantly stops flinging, Kaito off and into the ground. It lands in front of him and gets a good look at it's size. (A 183cm Bat creature)
Kaito rolls off the ground before stabbing his broadsword into the ground to catch himself. "Made you mad?" Kaito asks it. The bat beast roars at him, and flies at him with impressive speeds. Kaito drops his bag and gets ready for the charge. He dodges the beast and slashes with his sword in a downward motion. To his surprise the sword just harmlessly scrapes the monster.
He shoots fireballs at the monster before it can make it's way back. The fireballs explode on contact. "Did i get it?" He questions. The beast flies from the fire unharmed and continues it's assault. He goes to dodge but it seems... faster somehow. It's claws scratch his arm as he rolls out of the way.
The hungry beast screeches at him with an ear piercing yell. The shout causes his head to ring in pain. Kaito covers his ears from the attack. The bat takes the chance to rush him again. Kaito quickly recovers and slashes at the beast with his sword again. Once his blade makes contact with the beasts claws at this speed..... His sword shattered!
The bat hit Kaito with it's head sending him flying again before he could react to his broken sword.
Kaito lands next to his bag and looks at what used to be his sword. Now just the hilt of his blade. "Dang it, looks like my old sword can't hunt this thing." He says as he drops the sword that had served him since he was young.
He stares down the bat creature. "Only one thing to do now!" He says as he stands up defiant.
Kaito grabs his bag and begins running away as fast as he can. "No way i'm fighting this thing anymore!" He yells as he runs. The bat doesn't give up yet and it goes after him. It's much faster then Kaito so it catches up in no time. It dashes down for him again but it runs into a tree.
Kaito laughs at it as he escapes. "Not all good, since I am down a sword." He says as he continues through the trees.
Kaito continues running and he notices the sun is starting to set. Before that can become an issue he runs into a place with a small fence set up and people all around. All the people seem to be dressed in high class clothing and they're all around a large Vehicle with an bowl on top of it. Kaito has no clue what he's looking at.
He can't hear what the people are talking about but it seems important. While they talk he sees a big box. "That seems like a nice place to nap." He thinks since he is getting tired. Kaito walks over. He wasn't being stealthy, it's just no one noticed him. He crawls into the box put his bag as a pillow and closes the top.
He quickly and peacefully falls asleep.
"Hurry up and pack all that luggage!" A man barks at younger people. "We must have this vessel ready for departure, Ms, Nyla's safe arrival is of our upmost concern!" The man roars.
A young boy grabs onto the box Kaito is in. He attempts to lift it but it's heavy. "What the heck can one noble have that weighs this much!" He says as he struggles. "Yukki, hurry it up!" The older man yells.
Yukki panics and lifts the box up and puts it in the back and then climbs in after it. "Alright, that should be everything, Yukki help the noblelady in." He says to him.
Yukki places his fist over his chest and bows. "Sir!" He says as he goes over to her.
He holds his hand out to her. "Ms, Nyla." He says to her. She nods as she accepts his hand and he escorts her inside. The vessel is a large one double the size of a mobile home.
The older man plugs in a tube that looks like it's attached the the bowl of liquid into a hole in the vessel. There is six people and one noble, seven total, and also a sleeping Kaito in a box.
"Stay vigilant everyone! We will only stop once we arrive at Mozam!" He demands to everyone.
