Chapter 2 - A Sense of Uncanny Familiarity

Madline Feliste's lackey "LIVIA MAREN" .A character that i've never really paid attention to, whose name is almost forgettable , fitted for a background or side character.

Now she had became her( Livia Maren). And The day she became Livia Maren she felt a strange sensation that she would never forget.

----

That day she had a splitting headache. She opened her eyes and saw that the sunset was casting a heavy glow outside the window through her blurry vision.

"Oh my. You're Awake, Livia. Are you alright? "

As her blurry vision slowly came into focus, the girl addressed as 'Livia ' met the gaze of a middle-aged women wearing glasses.

"....Where...Where am I..?"

She " Livia " stretched out her arms and clutch the blanket before trying to sit up.

What's going on? Why is she feeling like this? She was clearly herself but why is she feeling like someone else.

Everything felt unfamiliar but yet not entirely new.

She tried to think of something but nothing came to mind. It was as if someone has bore a hole into her head, leaving her foundation of memory empty.

After a while she sat up but a searing pain shot through her body. It was as if thousands of sharp needles had pierced through her body making her nauseated and gasped for breath.

"Gasp...!.. Ugh,ah....!"

Livia instinctively held her head and her breath and curled in a ball by the sudden agony.

"Oh, dear. What came over you? Are you alright? "

The glass wearing women feigned surprise but she made no effort or whatsoever to help her "Livia" as she collasped forward.

"Ha...Ha.."

After what it felt like an eternity & enduring the pain until it subsided, she finally managed to lift her head, supporting herself with her hands. But suddenly she noticed a wired no a different smell lingering in the air.

"…What's this smell?"

She wrinkled her nose. It was a smell of something bitter .Then she muttered unconsciously—" The smell of herbs."

"Humm? What about herbs?"

"…No, I mean Nothing ,Ms. Mellania"

She found herself unconsciously uttering the name of the glass-wearing women.

"Livia's" eyes widened in surprise. Ironically , neither the smell of herb nor the glass wearing woman felt unfamiliar.

"Livia" was taken aback by the fact that she felt nothing as she spoke the unfamiliar name.

What was the big deal about the herbs? And who is Mellania? And why is she uttering these words as if she was familiar with everything?! She didn't know. Her mouth went dry. Why is she calling her by the name Livia?

After observing "MAREN's" face and cautious eyes sometimes, Mellania tilted her head slightly ,assessing her condition .

"Humm, It's noting unusual for your memories to be a little muddled."

Mellania said as if talking to herself . Her tone was quite cold ,as if she disliked the very existence of the girl in front of her.

"I highly doubt that's the case,but I hope This isn't a act , Livia Maren."

Mellinia's icy gaze pierced through her "Livia Maren."

"Livia Maren?"

However "Livia" was in no state to decipher the emotions of a unfamiliar woman . As the name left Mellinia's lips again, Livia's eyes finally flickered with recognition.

'That's..That's right. Livia Maren. Her name is Livia Maren!'

It felt like a missing puzzle had finally slotted into place in the blank canvas of her memory.

But she was still confused , there were too any unknowns. Determined to piece together the fragmented puzzle, she lifted her head .

With her vision fully restored, she finally looked around her surroundings clearly.

With Hospital beds lined up in rows to tables with many different types of herbs on it.

'This is the infirmary .No this is the academy infirmary.'

Then, that woman, Mellinnia must be the school nurse.'

Another piece of the puzzle clicked into place.

The bed Livia was sitting right now was right next to Mellinia's desk.

Next, Livia cautiously examined her own body. Even the slightest touch sent shooting pains through her. With a growing sense of unease, she checked the clothes she was wearing.

The first thing she noticed was her long weavy hair cascading to her waist with deep crimson shade. And the clothes she was wearing were covered in dirt and grim. The dress she was wearing had stiff coller and the white dress both familiar and unfamiliar coverd from her neck to her ankles.' Her Academy uniform'

"Maren if you're done and have come to your senses then it's time to leave. I'm quite exhausted today. "

Mallenia said slowly organizing the her desk. Urging to go home.

'This is just so strange...'
