Chapter 1 - The arrival

It's a normal day in Vegas, shouts of vendors, occasional wannabe vloggers, tiktokers dancing to the new trend. Everything seemed normal, but something is strange Simon can feel it. He knows that whatever it is, it' not going to be good. Then a massive shadow looms over the entire state. Panic erupts. Some people scream, others freeze, confusion etched on their faces. But not Simon, he knows what those are, those massive flying objects are ships. Ships of The Hive specifically.

The Hive is a warrior/conqueror alien race that slaves the weak. They call it LIBERATION, in The Hive's twisted logic being under their rule will be better than living as a weakling. "We are The Hives envoy, this is Commander Zul'tra of the Asteroid fleet. Surrender yourselves or face the consequences" said Comm. Zul'tra, Simon was stunned. The Hive was something he wrote for fun when he was goofing off while playing their imaginary space war with their own species with strengths and weaknesses as well as backstories.

In his story The Hive was an insectoid like alien race that works on the will of their Queen. They value strength more than anything else, each planets they've conquered have been given the chance to pick their champions that represent their country.

Simon was perplexed, how has his fictitious idea come to life? But he does not care. Simon is thrilled, he can see his creation in flesh. The Hive an insectoid like creature that operates through strength has form that varies on the job they were assigned from birth.

Xytheris - Simon remembers writing them to be born as warrior, with sharp claws and intelligence that is equivalent to 5 geniuses on earth. They look like what Mantis would be in they have a humanoid like stature then the commanding castes Khrivak - Born to be leaders, with sharp intuition that never fails them, extremely decisive willing to sacrifice an entire fleet for the betterment of The Hive. They are like a Moduza procris caterpillar that have grown arms and an antenna that allows to communicate with others. Then he wrote about Xelith-Norr - the working class, resembling the ants and bee's. And the most dangerous and prideful of all The Hive, a Xelith-Karr - With an uncanny resemblance to Horned dung beetle. With their massive frames and surprisingly agile movements tis juggernaut can and will flatten you. This is Simon favourite. He's masterpiece.

"People of Earth, hear the will of the Hive! We are strength made flesh, the Queen's chosen, and your liberation has come. You cling to freedom, but weakness shackles you more than chains ever could. The Hive offers you mercy, but mercy must be earned.

From this moment, your world is no longer whole. Only five of your nations may remain unbound, spared from the Queen's embrace. The rest shall kneel, their people remade as servants of the strong. To decide your fate, you will follow the law of the Hive: send forth your champions. Let them fight, let them bleed, and let their strength be proven before us. The victors shall preserve their nations. The defeated shall be consumed.

Choose quickly, humans. Choose wisely. For the Hive waits for no one, and the weak have no tomorrow."

The voice faded, but its weight lingered like a stormcloud over the earth. Simon's heart pounded not with fear, but with exhilaration. He knew this speech. Every word, every pause, even the sneer in the alien's tone he had written it. This wasn't coincidence. This was his creation, alive. Commander Zul'tra, his most treasured character, stood exactly as Simon had imagined: the hybrid offspring of Xelith-Norr cunning and Xelith-Karr ferocity, a monster bred for command.

Simon could hardly breathe. Terror rippled through the crowd around him, but all he could feel was a twisted thrill. His fiction was no longer fiction. The Hive was real. And they had come exactly as he had designed. As he was entranced he heard a tv, broadcasting the current events.

The Hive's voice had barely faded from the sky when a stunned silence fell over the world. People in the streets froze, mouths open, eyes fixed upward. In Las Vegas, tourists dropped their phones in disbelief as massive ships blotted out the sun. Children clung to their parents and vendors abandoned their stalls. Somewhere, a siren wailed. Panic rippled outward, unstoppable and chaotic.

On television screens, the same broadcast played repeatedly. Anchors stuttered, voices trembling. "Massive alien ships hovering above major cities. Authorities advise caution." Social media erupted with grainy videos, photos, and frantic messages. The world was glued to every screen, every signal, every sound.

Simon's heart pounded, but not with fear. He felt exhilaration coursing through him. The Hive was real. Every ship, every movement, every detail was exactly as he had imagined when he wrote it in his game. Commander Zul'tra stood among them, massive and feral, the perfect hybrid of Xelith-Norr cunning and Xelith-Karr ferocity.

For hours, the world struggled to respond. Leaders convened in emergency sessions. Military jets scrambled pointlessly against the enormous vessels as their engines were drowned out by the roar of alien engines. Citizens whispered prayers, clutched loved ones, or screamed in empty streets. The Hive's words, "Only five nations may remain unbound," hung over everyone like a stormcloud, unmovable and inescapable.

Then, across every network, the message shifted. Fear transformed into defiance. A single, resonant voice carried over television, radio, and phone alike. From Washington to Manila, Beijing to Cairo, Seoul to Moscow, humanity spoke as one.

"People of Earth! The Hive may demand our submission, but we will not kneel. Each nation is willing to play by their rules, but none will back down. No matter what alien stands before us, humans do not fall easily. HUMANS ARE BORN TO INHERIT THE STARS. HUMANS ARE CREATED IN THE LORD'S IMAGE. We will not bow to prideful, spacefaring insects."

Washington, D.C. - The President stood behind the White House podium, generals lined at his side. "The United States does not bow. If the Hive wants champions, we will give them warriors unmatched. This nation will fight to the last breath." Behind him, the Pentagon scrambled jets, a futile gesture against ships blotting out the stars.

Beijing, China - The Premier's face filled every screen, calm but unyielding."China has endured for five thousand years. We will endure this. Our champion will rise, and the Hive will know our strength." Soldiers marched in formation as crowds in Tiananmen Square roared approval, though fear rippled beneath the cheers.

Moscow, Russia - The Kremlin broadcast was far less restrained. A booming laugh echoed as the Russian President leaned into the camera."Let them come! We will send a champion so fierce that the Hive will regret ever setting foot on Earth. Russia does not kneel we break." In the background, vodka glasses clinked among the generals, but missiles quietly rolled onto launchpads.

Tokyo, Japan - The Prime Minister's voice was steady, measured."We will not choose recklessly. Our champion will embody both discipline and honor. If survival is decided by battle, then Japan will face it with dignity." Across the city, neon lights glowed under the shadow of Hive ships, the people bowing their heads in quiet determination.

Seoul, South Korea - The President addressed the nation from a secure bunker."Our people have faced hardship for generations, and we will face this trial with courage. South Korea will select a champion who embodies our strength, resilience, and unity. We will not falter." Citizens watched anxiously on screens, some clutching their loved ones as sirens wailed.

Pyongyang, North Korea - The Supreme Leader appeared on state television, flanked by military officials. "The DPRK stands unshaken. Our champion will show the world that North Korea's might is unmatched. The Hive will learn the price of underestimating us." Soldiers marched in formation outside, the ominous silence of the streets amplifying the gravity of the announcement

Manila, Philippines - In a modest government hall, the President spoke to a panicked nation."We are not without hope. Our champion will fight for every island, every family, every soul of this nation. We will not vanish quietly into slavery." His words quivered, but they carried the fire of defiance. Citizens clung to radios in candlelit streets as brownouts swept the city.

Cairo, Egypt - A council of ministers addressed the people together."Once, our ancestors built monuments that defied time. We too will defy the Hive. A champion will be chosen, not for glory, but for the survival of our people." The desert wind carried the broadcast across villages and cities alike, a reminder of ancient resilience.

Cheers erupted in streets, over rooftops, across cities. Children laughed through tears, soldiers stood taller, families gripped hands tighter. Even those paralyzed by fear felt a spark of hope. Humanity had found its voice. The Hive had issued its law, but the fire of resistance had already been lit.

Simon's chest swelled. The world would fight. Champions would be chosen, but even before any battles began, humanity had made its first stand. The Hive would soon learn that defiance was not weakness. Defiance was the essence of humanity itself.
