Chapter 1 - Chapter 1 A New Beginning

Konoha Year 42

"Fire Release: Blazing Fireball!"

"Earth Release: Earth Wall!"

Hoshimi Ren, leaning on the railing, watched the intense offence and defence battle below, letting out a lazy yawn.

As the Ninjutsu clashed, the scattered aftermath occasionally left marks on the battlefield.

"Is that Kakashi Hatake? He truly lives up to his reputation as Konoha's greatest genius."

As he murmured, the victor below had already been decided.

Using the smoke from the Ninjutsu collision and the cover of the Earth Wall, Kakashi Hatake finally defeated his opponent with the Headhunter Jutsu.

"I lost." Looking at Kakashi, who was still a head shorter than himself, Asano Naru felt a bitter taste in his mouth.

As a Konoha Genin, he had lost to a five-year-old kid. Although it was the son of Lord White Fang, to be defeated so easily made him begin to doubt if he had the talent to be a Ninja.

"I announce, Kakashi Hatake's early graduation exam is passed, and he is officially promoted to Genin!"

"Wow!"

With the referee's command, the previously quiet audience instantly erupted.

Applying for early graduation less than a year after enrollment, and successfully passing, Kakashi Hatake successfully set the record for the youngest graduate in the Ninja School's history!

Looking at the excited crowd and Kakashi Hatake, who was being awarded his Genin forehead protector below, Hoshimi Ren stretched lazily, stood up, and climbed over the railing to head home.

"So this is Konoha's greatest genius, who graduates at five, becomes a Chunin at six, and a Jonin at twelve? Am I transmigrated to the eve of the Third Shinobi World War?"

That's right, our Hoshimi Ren transmigrated, into the body of a five-year-old Konoha child.

After three days of muddled existence in the hospital, he slowly accepted all the memories in his mind and began to ponder his current situation.

Without a mother, Hoshimi Ren was raised by his father. His father was a Konoha Jonin, and three days ago, he sacrificed himself while on an outdoor mission to protect his comrades. The original owner, heartbroken, died in the hospital, and he happened to transmigrate after the original body was gone.

However, because his body and soul had not yet fully merged, he lay in the Konoha Hospital for three days before recovering.

After being discharged, he immediately went to the school to report to his teacher, Yamanaka Ryo. Yamanaka Ryo had also heard about Hoshimi Ren's father and comforted Hoshimi Ren before telling him to go home and rest for the day and come back to school tomorrow.

Hoshimi Ren thanked Yamanaka Ryo and did not decline. Originally, when he first transmigrated, he was completely lost and planned to first understand the current timeline. On his way back, he passed by the training ground and saw the match, which led to the opening scene.

After watching the match, Hoshimi Ren walked along Konoha's main street, looking at the roadside vendors and the bustling crowds, following the route from his predecessor's memory towards his home in this world.

"I'm home." Looking at the floor covered with a thin layer of dust and the distinctly Japanese-style bedroom, a difficult smile involuntarily appeared at the corner of the young man's mouth.

He opened his mouth as if to say something, but in the end, it turned into a sigh. He helplessly took off his coat, changed into his chore clothes, found a bucket, towel, and mop from the utility room, and began a thorough cleaning.

At sunset, Hoshimi Ren, who had been busy for several hours, put down the mop and finally let out a sigh of relief, looking at his refreshed home.

"Finally finished cleaning. I'm a bit hungry, I should find something to eat." Hoshimi Ren muttered to himself as he walked towards the kitchen.

"Let me see what delicious things there are."

…Looking at the only instant noodles in front of him, Hoshimi Ren fell silent.

Indeed, if you don't hope or expect, there will be no hope.

"This is a Jonin family, how can they make their child eat instant noodles every day (–_–;)? Forget it, I'll make do with this meal for now. Tomorrow, I'll go out and buy some daily necessities, no need for the old ones. My father, a Konoha Jonin, pension that is enough for me to live comfortably until I'm an adult."

After a quick and ravenous meal, Hoshimi Ren cleaned the dishes and sat in the courtyard, gazing at the distant Hokage Rock, lost in thought.

"The world of Hokage? It's truly dangerous."

In his previous life, he was an energetic youth about to enter society. After graduating from university, he went out for a meal and drinks with friends. After returning home, he woke up to find himself inexplicably in this war-torn Ninja World.

It truly was… unexpected.

His thoughts returned to the present. Putting down the wild flower he had casually picked, Hoshimi Ren walked to the back of the courtyard, where two wooden stakes and some weighted equipment stood. These must have been for his Jonin father's training.

Hoshimi Ren stepped forward and lifted the weights. They must have weighed about three or four kilograms. They were probably discarded by his Jonin father, which was perfect for him to use and would save a small expense.

Half an hour later, after turning the house upside down, Hoshimi Ren looked at the five scrolls in front of him and eagerly unrolled them one by one, beginning to examine them.

The five scrolls contained the Chakra Extraction Technique, Water Release: Water Wall, Lightning Release: Earth Corridor, Wind Release: Wind Cutter, and the Shadow Clone Technique.

A look of joy appeared on Hoshimi Ren's face. It was truly like someone giving a pillow when you're sleepy. He was currently in his beginner phase and lacked these basic things.

It was currently Konoha Year 42. The Third Shinobi World War would break out in Year 46. This meant he had less than four years of development time. Time was tight, and the task was heavy. He had to quickly cultivate and improve his strength. Otherwise, if he accidentally died, he would be an embarrassment to the transmigration army.

Thinking of this, Hoshimi Ren was filled with resentment. When others transmigrated, they either had a system, effortlessly becoming invincible every day and getting treasure chests until their hands cramped. He got an orphan template; his parents were not a pair of kings but both deceased.

Interrupting his scattered thoughts, Hoshimi Ren put away the other Ninjutsu scrolls and opened the Chakra Extraction Technique to study it.

Chakra is a form of energy produced by the perfect fusion of a person's control over various parts of their energy. It is the energy source for performing Ninjutsu, Genjutsu, Taijutsu, or for forming into a thread to bind opponents or cut through substances also composed of Chakra. It generally refers to the product of an average mixture of spiritual energy and physical energy.

The mixture of physical energy produced by one hundred thirty trillion cells in the body and spiritual energy is called "stamina." "Stamina" is the basis for activating Taijutsu.

Stamina is converted into Chakra within the body. After a Ninja extracts Chakra, they can use "Jutsu" through "hand seals." In short, whether or not they possess Chakra, everyone possesses spiritual energy and physical energy.

Finally, it included a Chakra human circulation map.

Putting down the scroll, he followed the route on the scroll to circulate it within his body, feeling the spiritual energy and physical energy within him.

With the spiritual power of two lifetimes and the cultivation method, after half an hour, Hoshimi Ren quickly felt the spiritual energy flowing within his cells.

What was the next step? Extract it to a position similar to the Dantian. Hoshimi Ren silently thought, controlling the energy to circulate within his body according to the method recorded in the scroll, extracting the physical energy within his body.

He extracted his physical and spiritual energy so quickly. It seemed this body's talent was quite good.

Next, he had to combine the physical strength and spiritual power to form the Chakra and keep it in his chakra pathways.

Holding his breath, he concentrated his energy in his chakra gates. The two streams of energy slowly circulated within his body under Hoshimi Ren's control, gradually merging as they approached the chakra gates.

He maintained his physical strength at a certain level. Then, he slowly increased his spiritual power until the two finally merged in the chakra gates, forming a completely new blue energy.

Hoshimi Ren's body trembled, his eyes opened, and a smile appeared. He succeeded!

"Phew."

Hoshimi Ren let out a long breath and looked out the window. Night had already fallen, and the gentle breeze of the summer night slowly drifted in through the open window.

It was getting late, and he had to go to school tomorrow. He should go to bed early.

Turning off the light, Hoshimi Ren lay on the bed, staring at the ceiling, feeling his vision begin to blur, and finally, he slowly started to snore.

The night passed without incident.
