Doctor: (slowly raised his head and found his missing patient in front of him) Sir Kasper? H...how is that possible? (Startled) You were badly injured.
Kasper: Yes I was, but then Lucifer appeared to me (leaned down and whispered to him) Shhh! (Gestured to him to stay quiet then continued) Lucifer spoke to me. He couldn't let me die yet, not when I haven't found my soulmate. Let's keep this a little secret about great Lucifer appearance okay?
Doctor: (nodded)
The tales was too believable. The doctor would have tagged Kasper as a liar, but this demon before him had a serious lacerated body and might barely survive because of the miasma infliction. And a potion was very cost, Royalties could only get few due to the high production cost and low labour work in the production. So every potion made had a huge value.
Kasper: (gently rose up and turned back to the ladies)
Lyrixa: (turns to Kasper) The ceremony is about to begin, you can't be dressed in a lab robe. (Spoke coldly)
Kasper: Of course, I can't... I'll take my leave now. (Walked out of building completely)
Khaos: Kasper (called out worriedly from behind with Plagg next to her)
Kasper: Khaos?
Khaos: (ran up to him and pulled him into an embrace) I was so scared, I was worried sick.
Plagg: (clutched his fist and lifted it to punch Kasper)
Kasper: (stared at the fist expressionlessly)
Plagg: (stopped midway, an inch away from Kasper's face)
Kasper: I'm sorry Khaos.
Khaos: It hurt so badly. I thought you were dead.
Kasper: Dead? (Shocked) What are you saying? (Pulled away from her hug and stared at her)
Khaos: The necklace I gave you is connected to me. My chest hurt the moment the danger towards you rose.
Kasper: Danger? (Recalled the battle with the demon eater almost 2 hours ago) she felt that intensity? (Thought)
Athena: Yes. The necklace is just an item to seal the marriage contract. When she's in serious danger, you'll get an heartache and the same goes to her if you were the one to be in danger. (Explained)
Kasper: Ohh. (Processed)
Plagg: (walked up to him, towering over) Why did you make her worry? (Frowned)
Kasper: Ahh (sighs) I don't know how to put this, but there was a serious matter I had to handle and didn't realize it was going to be a life or death situation. (Explained) And I'm sorry, I didn't mean to make you both worry. (Apologized sincerely)
Plagg: (lifted his hand again but this time patted him gently on the back) It's fine. You aren't the type to make one worry unnecessary, but still do well not to make your wife worry.
Khaos: Big brother...(Called out shyly)
Kasper: (smiled) I'll do all best not to make her worry.
Plagg: Good.
Kasper: (about to take a step when a shocking wave hit him so hard that made his heart skip a beat and release a torturing pain) Argh! (Groaned lightly)
His brain felt a powerful mana wave that made him almost drop to the ground. Somewhere in Lyrixa's room, while staring at the locket in her palm that had her father's imagine in it, a powerful mana wave also hit her, making her fall to the ground on her knees.
Lyrixa: Bleh. (She coughed out some blood)
She could feel her mana level slowly drain off. This wasn't how it was suppose to be. The medicine Azrael had given her was to seal up her damaged mana container and channels in her body for 5 decades. But the sudden mana wave had caused her mana channel to damage leaving holes all over.
Lyrixa: This isn't good. (Regained her composure but still felt weak. She had to find Azrael after the ceremony that had already begun)
Khaos: Uhn? Kasper your nose is bleeding.
Kasper: (touched his nose and stared at the blood on his fingers) Athena? What is this?
Athena: System is unable to detect the source of the sudden suddenly mana wave.
Kasper: (pulled out a small clean hide cloth and wiped off the blood from his nose) Did you feel anything just now? (Asked)
Khaos: Anything like what? (Confused)
Kasper: Nevermind, let's go quickly the rest of the group are far ahead of us. (Pulled Khaos by the hand) They feel normal. Was I the only one just now who felt the powerful mana wave? (Thought)
