Bang!!
Kevin grabbed Homelander and flung him to the ground.
Before Homelander could react, Kevin grabbed him by the collar again, violently swung him aside, and slammed him against a metal wall.
After doing all this, Kevin clapped his hands, as if he had done something insignificant, and said, "John, don't you know that before you talk tough, you should at least have the strength to back it up?"
"Kevin!!!!"
Homelander, dazed by Kevin's combo, ignored the other heroes looking for Stormfront and flew out of the metal wall with bloodshot eyes, crashing into Kevin.
Bang!!
With another deafening sonic boom, Homelander's shoulder hit Kevin's chest, sending him flying.
Their bodies shattered the metal wall, broke through the ceiling of the underground facility, and burst out of the ground, soaring into the sky.
While flying into the sky, Homelander freed a hand and tried to attack Kevin.
However, Kevin, who should have been restrained by Homelander, distorted his body in mid-air, broke free from Homelander's grasp, and struck Homelander's back with an elbow.
With a thud, Homelander felt a sharp pain in his back, and his body, flying in the sky, plummeted vertically, landing in a pile of rubble on the plain below, creating a crater several meters deep.
Kevin, however, did not fall from the sky; water gathered beneath his feet, forming steps one after another, allowing him to descend.
As he walked down towards Homelander, Kevin continued to trash talk him:
"Your fighting skills are terrible; you can't even compare to Maeve. Although my fighting skills aren't great either, they should at least be a little better than yours."
Kevin raised his hand, leaving a small gap between his index finger and thumb.
Homelander crawled up from the ground, brushed off the dust from his body, and stared at Kevin with red eyes.
Kevin continued, "And now, my strength, speed, defense, and recovery are all better than yours. You're even weaker than me in combat skills. Do you think you can beat me?"
"Bastard!!!!"
Homelander was furious, and the red light accumulated in his eyes suddenly shot out a scorching red beam, flying towards Kevin!
But Kevin did not dodge; he elegantly raised his hand, controlling the water to form a circular shield in front of him.
The shield quickly took Shape, simultaneously emitting a chilling aura, forming a barrier of condensed ice.
This was Kevin's first time using ice magic, derived from Water Magic Variation, in actual combat. He wanted to test whether the ice magic, with added defensive magic patterns, could withstand Homelander's heat vision.
And the result was quite pleasing.
The barrier, emitting a chilling aura, did indeed block Homelander's heat vision. Although it only lasted for a few seconds before showing signs of melting through, it was enough to prove the defensive power of this move.
Kevin, having learned a new skill, nodded with satisfaction, then continued to Homelander, "Is that your strongest attack?"
"What...? How could you...?"
When Homelander saw Kevin conjure the ice shield, his eyes were filled with confusion and bewilderment.
He knew Kevin could control water, but he never knew he could turn water into ice.
When did the other party master this ability?
Why had he never known?
But before Homelander could figure it out, Kevin had already dismissed the ice shield in front of him.
Kevin, who had already 'walked' from above to the ground, shook his neck and said, "Now it's my turn, right?"
"!?"
Hearing Kevin's words, Homelander's wide eyes hadn't even had time to respond when Kevin's figure once again vanished from his original spot, instantly appearing in front of Homelander!
The two were very close, and with Homelander's Supe reflexes, he could see Kevin raising his fist, seeing his fist coming towards him.
However... Homelander found that he couldn't dodge.
His speed seemed to be a bit slower than Kevin's.
And it was this slight difference that prevented Homelander from dodging Kevin's fist.
Bang!!
The punch landed precisely on Homelander's cheek, and air burst from the point of contact between the fist and cheek. Homelander's head snapped back, about to fly away, but just as he was about to fly off, Kevin grabbed his cape.
The quality of the uniform made by Vought was, of course, impeccable. Even when Kevin forcefully grabbed Homelander's cape, the cape did not tear or break.
Instead, it forcibly pulled Homelander back, sending him flying in the opposite direction of Kevin's swing.
Grabbing Homelander's cape, Kevin pulled Homelander, who was about to fly away, back and slammed him into the ground on the other side.
The ground was once again cratered, but Kevin did not stop. With Homelander's cape in his hand, he was like someone holding a rein to control a wild beast, smashing Homelander around on the ground like a weapon!
After smashing him several times like this, Kevin finally released Homelander, leaving him lying in the pit, questioning his existence.

Homelander was bewildered by Kevin's chaotic smashing.
He was truly bewildered!
Since when did Deep's abilities become so powerful that he could fight him to a draw with just his physical abilities?
He remembered that a long time ago, Deep's physical abilities were weaker than his.
And then there was the ability to Shape water, and the ability to turn water into ice.
Homelander had never seen these abilities before! And he had never heard of any Supe's abilities being able to continuously evolve!
Even at this moment, a rather absurd thought crossed Homelander's mind.
He felt that Kevin might not be a Supe.
He had never seen a Supe like this!!
"I heard you want to become a god?"
While Homelander was questioning his existence, Kevin squatted beside him, looking at him lying in the pit, still dazed, and said with a smile, "Do you think someone as weak as you can become a god? You can't even beat me."
"...Kevin!!!!"
"Alright, alright, no need to shout so loudly, I can hear you."
Kevin said, gently raising a finger. Several streams of water condensed around Homelander, wrapped around his limbs, and solidified into ice, binding Homelander in place.
Then Kevin took out a pale green vial from his pocket and aimed it at Homelander's arm.
??
When he saw the pale green liquid, Homelander, who had always been fearless, finally panicked:
"What are you doing?! Don't you know... Don't you know you--!"
"Of course I know what I'm doing, John." Kevin sighed regretfully to Homelander:
"I've given you many chances, truly. Ever since I became CEO, I've always been deferring to you, letting you continue to be the captain of The Seven, letting you do what you wanted to do.
"I thought that by doing so, we could coexist peacefully, with me as CEO and you as the captain of The Seven, and we could make money together in peace, but...
"You've disappointed me too much, John. You actually wanted to betray me."
"I... I didn't... betray... You were the one who betrayed us...!"
"It doesn't matter anymore, John."
Kevin stopped Homelander from continuing, and under his desperate gaze, injected the syringe into Homelander's arm.
The Vibranium needle pierced Homelander's arm, and the green, cold liquid was pushed into Homelander's body by Kevin.
After doing all this, Kevin slowly said, "From today onwards, you can just be an ordinary person. That way, no one will get hurt."
No!!!!
Watching the liquid being injected into his body, Homelander, fueled by an unknown strength, suddenly broke free from Kevin's restraint and shot into the sky.
His powers were still there, but he didn't want to continue fighting Kevin.
He just wanted to escape quickly and find a way to get the serum out of his body.
Homelander did not want to lose his Supe abilities, and he absolutely could not lose them!
His Supe abilities were his everything, and once he lost them, his entire existence would be meaningless.
Homelander flew away, but Kevin did not pursue him.
Because pursuing him would be futile; the serum that could make a person's abilities fade had already begun to work.
In a few minutes at most, or a dozen minutes at most, Homelander would lose his abilities and become a truly ordinary person.
And by then, someone would naturally take over Kevin's work.
...
Just as Kevin had guessed, the serum began to take effect in Homelander's body after a few minutes.
Homelander John felt his speed slowing down; he was gradually getting closer to the ground.
Finally, at one point, John felt he could no longer fly.
He landed on the ground.
Like a god falling into the mortal world, "No... No, no, no... No!! You can't take away my abilities! You can't!!"
Walking on the plain, John let out an anxious roar.
Kevin was not here, and he didn't know who he was shouting at, perhaps just to vent, but it no longer mattered.
His strength disappeared, his vision was no longer as sharp as before, and his hearing was gradually fading.
John felt his body incredibly weak, so weak that he could barely walk.
Finally, at one point, he fell to the ground, like a frail patient, unable to get up.
"No!! Damn it! Damn it!!! How could he do this!! Ahhh!!!"
Feeling his abilities truly gone, John cried and wailed like a child.
Being despised by fans and cursed at online had not made John break down.
But when his abilities disappeared, John truly felt what despair was, what it meant to be disheartened.
It was only at this moment that John understood that everything he had was built upon his identity as a Supe.
Once he lost these, he was nothing.
Even worse than a mortal.
"No... I still have a chance, Compound V... I can still find Compound V--!"
After a while of pain and despair, John, as if grasping at a lifeline, climbed up from the ground and struggled to walk back in the direction they had come from.
It didn't matter if his abilities were gone; at least John knew a way to regain Supe abilities.
Compound V!
As long as he injected Compound V again, he could regain his Supe abilities and once again become the revered Homelander!
John didn't consider how he, an ordinary person who had lost his abilities, would obtain Compound V within Vought, which was controlled by Kevin.
He no longer wanted to think about those complex questions. John now only wanted to grasp his last lifeline and seek a chance for 'survival'.
Compound V... Compound V...
John's mind was full of Compound V at this moment.
But as he struggled to return to Vought, a black van sped up and stopped in front of John.
John stopped, looking up blankly.
From the black van emerged a bearded man he found slightly familiar.
The man wore a black trench coat, and when he saw John's appearance, his face was full of smiles, his expression as happy as a fisherman who had caught a big fish weighing dozens of pounds.
"Yo, look who it is, isn't it our dearest national hero?"
The bearded man mocked John, who was once Homelander.
And in the other party's mocking smile, Homelander finally remembered the other party's identity.
William Butcher.
The murderer he had once suspected, the one who killed Madelyn Stillwell.
