Chapter 3 - Chapter 3

Chapter 3

November 20th 2001 in Harry's suite on Ananke...

As the messy haired Asuran male read the Smallville Ledger, the mage noticed a story about an old man named Harry Bollston who had died when he snuck out of his nursing home room for a smoke on a bridge/walkway that ran over the nearby pond. Bollston had dropped his cigarettes and when he reached over to pick them up the old man had slipped out of his wheelchair and hit his head. The elderly man had died of brain trauma a few minutes later.

"I can't help but feel we dodged a bullet with this one," Harry mused aloud to Chloe over the breakfast table.

"We probably did. James pulled up information on Bollston. He was an ex-convict who served his time and was released. Bollston murdered the son of somebody who turned him down for a position at a conservatorium. Your feeling is probably your second sight telling you that he came close to getting meteor powers. A sick bastard like that with meteor powers...," Chloe trailed off with a shudder.

James was Chloe's Alice-class computer watch.

"You're probably right. It makes me really glad we convinced Lana to do her required community service through an Evans Corp charity," Harry said. "Instead of at that nursing home like she had originally planned," He added.

"Orphanages do seem like a better use of our time," Chloe agreed. "Fancy another romp before school?" The blonde beauty asked while changing the subject.

"You don't even have to ask my love," Harry replied with a big grin.

The elder Kent brother's wife apparated away and the wizard quickly followed.

November 27th 2001...

While Harry was busy helping Lana with preparing for a test, Chloe and Pete were going to study with a really nice girl named Jodi Melville. An intuition told the reality traveler to send a golem over near his wife so the mage did so. The Potter Lord got a good laugh out of it later when he viewed the golem's memories.

Flashback

The golem came upon Pete, Chloe, and Jodi in the high school's hallway being harassed by a jerk named Dustin. The golem's personality was modeled after Harry's own and took exception to Dustin's actions.

"Hey Pete we're getting a little game together. Do you want in or do you want to keep whale watching?" Dustin demanded as he looked at Jodi while laughing.

Jodi had some weight issues and the piece of shit jock felt he needed to make her feel worse.

"Crash," Echoed throughout the hall as Dustin's head impacted the locker after Harry's fist forced the asshole's head that way.

"Hey Dustin, you'll have to wait longer than the lifetime of the universe before your head is likely to phase through that locker naturally so you might want to hold off. But I guess a dumbass like you wouldn't know that would you. At least my good friend Jodi here can do basic algebra," Harry declared loudly as he wrapped one arm around Jodi and the other around Chloe.

"Thanks Harry," Jodi whispered gratefully as the group of friends walked away.

End Flashback

Meanwhile back with Lana...

"Thanks for the lifeline," Lana told the handsome genius as the pair put their school supplies away.

"It was no problem Lana. Math comes easy to me. If I can pass my understanding on to others then I'll do my best," Harry answered.

"Lana I just wanted to get your opinion on the balloons. Now I think white always looks good," Nell, Lana's aunt, interrupted.

"It works for me," Lana told her aunt with a very fake smile. "This whole birthday extravaganza has been pretty distracting," The somewhat overwhelmed former cheerleader whispered to her magical friend after Nell had left the room with a party coordinator.

"Yeah, having the party in the Evans Corp banquet hall does seem pretty out there," Harry commented with a slightly amused smile.

Harry had "asked" Mr. Evans for the use of the banquet hall at the request of Lana who was pressured into it by her aunt. Of course Mr. Evans had said yes.

"If it was up to me it would be pizza and loud music with my friends," Lana whispered mock conspiratorially.

"Hmm...I think I'd prefer a pool party," Harry said with a suggestive grin. "You, Mr. Kent, just want to see all of those hot girls in bikinis," Lana teased.

"At the moment I think I'd prefer to only see two young women in bikinis," Harry flirted right back.

"I imagine Chloe is one and the second would be...," Lana trailed off prompting him for an answer with a grin that betrayed she knew her handsome friend's answer.

"You Miss Lang," Harry whispered in his friend's ear before pinching her ass and running out the door with the flustered female right behind.

The flirting pair came outside to see Whitney pulling up in the football player's truck. The aroused pair tried to play it all cool but it was definitely an awkward moment for the quarterback.

"See you later Lana," Harry called as he hopped onto his motorcycle.

"Later Harry," Lana responded with a wink that Whitney couldn't see as the blonde jock glared at the older Kent brother.

The next day at lunch time...

"Hi Harry," Harry heard someone call out tentatively. Harry turned to the sound of the voice and spotted Jodi.

"Jodi, wow, you look pretty good," Harry praised as he noticed that his friend had lost what appeared to be approximately forty pounds overnight.

Alice's scans of the no longer obese teen's body mass compared to the previous day's scan confirmed the amount of weight loss.

"Are you ok?" Clark questioned in a concerned tone.

"Never better...my diet is just starting to pay off," Jodi explained.

"I'm happy for you Jodi I really am," Harry told the self conscious teen.

"Thank you for sticking up for me yesterday. Most people wouldn't have done that," Jodi said earnestly to her handsome rescuer.

"Well without sounding arrogant I'm not most people," Harry pointed out with an infectious grin.

"Listen...I was wondering if you have a date for Lana's party," Jodi questioned hopefully. "I guess we weren't that obvious with our relationship," Chloe sent via mind speech.

"In her defense I have been making it pretty obvious that I'm trying to woo Lana. It just wasn't obvious that it was for us," Harry told his girlfriend.

"Well judging from James' scans of her weight loss method she is now a meteor mutant. Her mutation will get out of hand for anybody who doesn't have a healing factor. So it's either you or Clark," Chloe pointed out.

"Clark," Both Asuran lovers agreed mentally at the same time.

Harry walked up to Jodi and sat down at the table with her.

"Jodi I am kind of involved in a very complex three way relationship at the moment. My brother Clark is involved in something of a more physical two way relationship. Now, I know he would be delighted to go with you if you are willing to share him with Jenna," Harry calmly explained the situation in a quiet tone.

Jodi thought about it for a second then nodded with a smile slowly coming onto her face. Clark had never been mean to Jodi at all, quite the opposite in fact. In addition to that, just being near Harry saw his veela allure affecting her. Her mind was more open to the idea of being in a relationship with multiple people including other women.

"Good...now you should smile more often Jodi. It makes you look very nice, brings out your true beauty," Harry told the young woman with a wink.

Clark agreed easily enough. It wasn't like Harry had to twist his brother's arm. Clark, it turned out, was addicted to sex. The younger Kent brother and Jenna had been going at it like crazy the

last week or so. Even with the modified age-band the human Jenna couldn't keep up with the Kryptonian's regenerative abilities. Now it looked like she would have reinforcements.

Harry did feel the need to give Clark some advice.

"Clark when you and Jodi do stuff, make sure you are in direct sunlight," Harry warned his brother.

"Why?" Clark queried with confusion.

"I'm sure you will understand soon enough," Harry assured his sibling with a smirk.

A few hours later...

"You knew she was a meteor mutant! You knew and you still hooked me up with her," Clark muttered with an accusing tone.

"Sure I knew. So was it fun?" Harry curiously asked.

"She has to suck the body fat out of stuff to survive. Her mutation apparently makes it so she doesn't have to actually eat the stuff to absorb the body fat," Clark explained.

"Yes I know. I also knew that our healing factor would near-instantly restore you to normal healthy body fat levels. So I knew it wouldn't harm you. Now answer my question. Was it fun?" Harry pressed.

"Yes," Clark finally admitted. "It felt like she was sucking the life out of me...in a good way," Clark answered with a goofy grin.

"Good...now just make sure she gets a little alone time with you a couple of times a day and there won't be any problems," Harry instructed.

"You know sometimes I am not sure if you are a bad brother or a fantastic one," Clark stated before he went to find his new second girlfriend.

"Your brother bitches too much," Alice commented through the neural link she shared with her creator.

"He is a teenager. It's in their nature," Harry pointed out.

Lana stopped over at the Kent Farm later that day to give the produce order for the party. Whitney was going to be out of town for the party for a football recruiting thing. So naturally Lana was without an escort for her own birthday bash, or so Harry thought.

"You, Harry Kent, are going to escort me on Saturday for pinching my ass earlier," Lana informed her favorite male once the two teens were outside.

"As long as you realize Chloe will be escorting you as well," Harry pointed out.

"Yes, yes I do realize that," Lana agreed with a grin, obviously not dissatisfied with the turn of events.

"Then I would be glad to escort you my lady," Harry flirted with a bow that satisfied the British lord in him.

"Thank you kind sir," Lana mocked with a grin before she left.

Harry always enjoyed the view when Lana walked away. X-ray vision and Lana's gorgeous bum equaled great fun. Of course it was the exact same with Chloe with the exception that the green eyed sorcerer got to have more fun with that ass, for the time being. Hopefully soon Lana would gift the mage with the same privileges.

The party was a great hit. The original layout was a bit stuffy but when Harry had managed to get Nell to leave through clever distraction, the group of teens really got down to partying. There was a company pool on the grounds. The Evans Corp C.E.O. provided complimentary bathing suits which were cheap and pretty much see-through. Lana paid the handsome warlock back for pinching her ass earlier with her grabby hands underwater but he certainly didn't mind. It was a great party.

The enchanter's gift to Lana was a gold friendship bracelet. The jewelry was charmed with many forms of protection and a PTEL injecting age-band. The aesthetically pleasing device wouldn't halt the attractive Miss Lang's aging until she reached a certain physical maturity. Harry had to laugh when Jodi and Clark snuck off so Jodi could have a bit of a snack.

The male Asuran happened to be glancing through the wall with his x-ray vision active at one point.

"My god...she can swallow the entire thing...jewels and all," Harry thought while at a loss to explain something so astonishing.

"Hmmm...I will have to see what I can do about that," Chloe mentally answered his thought. There was a hint of competitive challenge in Chloe's thoughts. "I bet I can do it."

"I have the best wife ever," Harry stated with a grin.

"You just remember that," Chloe told her mate as she dragged the happy wizard out of the party to the couple's own private rendezvous.

December 11th 2001...

The next week saw Martha and Jonathan Kent heading to Metropolis for a couple of nights to celebrate their anniversary.

"What else do I need to tell you?" Martha asked herself out loud. "Oh, don't use the upstairs bathroom. It's backed up and I need to snake the pipes," A worried Mrs. Kent informed Clark and Harry, even if Clark wasn't paying too much attention.

"I will take care of it mom," Harry assured his mother.

"Thank you Harry," Martha said while gracing the wizard with a smile.

"Where's the leftover pizza?" Clark asked after walking into the kitchen from the adjacent living room wearing his headphones.

"Fridge, second shelf...oh you can nuke the chili for dinner," Martha answered.

Martha was bending over the kitchen counter reading her checklist. Harry was having a hard time not staring at his adoptive mother's rear. The loving Kent woman was a serious MILF. There was a part of the warrior wizard which was raised by Martha Kent most of his life and another bigger part that wasn't. Therefore the reality traveler was able to look at the older woman and realize his father was a seriously lucky man.

"Clark or Harry can I get a hand out here please?" Jonathan shouted from outside.

With a burst of super-speed Harry was at his father's side while Clark was still munching on pizza.

"Could you lift the back of the truck son?" Jonathan requested.

"Sure dad," Harry answered before he picked up the back of the truck.

"Sure picked one heck of a day to snap an exhaust hanger," Jonathan grunted as he crawled under the truck.

"Ok, I left the number of our hotel on the night stand. I think that's everything," Martha informed her elder son as his father crawled back out from under the truck.

"That should do it," Jonathan declared as the green eyed teen set the truck back down. "If you need anything," Martha began.

"We'll call mom. I love you both. Now go enjoy your anniversary," Harry instructed as he hugged both elder Kents.

Harry's hug for his adoptive mother lasted a bit longer than usual. The hybrid's veela allure spiked a bit with the attractive woman in his arms and he could tell from the changes in her body that she was aroused.

Clark and Harry both waved goodbye as their parents drove down the long drive to leave the farm.

"What are you guys going to do now that you are officially home alone?" Pete asked Clark and Harry as the Torch quartet made their way to school the next morning.

"We were thinking of having a few people over," Clark answered.

"Do my ears deceive me or are the Kent boys actually suggesting a party?" Chloe queried. "Just a small gathering...you guys and maybe a few other people," Clark confirmed. "Jodi and Jenna," Chloe teased.

"Eight o'clock and remember the keyword is small," Clark added as he climbed onboard the bus where Harry had a delightful session of grind yourself on the male Asuran's hard-on instigated by his lover, which was followed by an even more lovely period of sex under a Notice-Me-Not charm while the bus bounced on the rocky back roads.

Later that night...

"So...this is what you call a small gathering," Chloe shouted over the sound of the noise of the lively party.

"Do you even recognize half these people?" Clark demanded in reply. "Hey watch the glass," Clark shouted before the object in question shattered.

A few quick repairing spells would be in order after the party. In the meantime, Chloe and Harry cast unbreakable charms on anything that looked fragile.

"I suggest you go find your brother's girlfriends because he could use some serious loosening up," Chloe suggested.

Harry found the two young women up in Clark's room making-out in their boyfriend's bed. "Why isn't Clark up here with you two?" Harry asked Jenna and Jodi.

"He is too worried about things getting out of hand," Jodi pointed out with a pout.

"Yeah, they already are but I would like to show him how to take things back in hand," Jenna purred with a giggle as she made a jacking motion with her hand.

"I'll get him back up here," Harry assured the two teenage girls.

"Thanks Harry. You are the best," Harry heard the pair shout before the giggling and kissing sounds started back up.

Clark was crazy for not taking advantage of the two beauties waiting for him in his room. The solution was a quick lust spell on Harry's younger brother and pointing the younger alien at the target. Two willing teenage girls were soon about to have a fun night.

"Pretty cool party," Lana shouted over the noise when she showed up. "Fireworks...you guys really have this party going," Miss Lang commented as the fireworks broke out outside.

"Mr. Evans decided to give me a little gift of some entertainment," Harry explained as the golems continued to shoot off spectacular fireworks.

"Clark and Harry man how cool is this," Pete shouted as people cheered around them.

"Harry dear you have a phone call. Judging from the fact that it's from Metropolis I think it's your mother," Alice's voice informed her creator through their mental link.

As the genius engineer sat between Lana and Chloe, he had his lovely computer-watch route the call directly into his mind so that Martha didn't hear the background noise of the party. Harry made sure to have Alice reroute all police attention and calls directly to him.

"Hi mom...what's up?" Harry prompted the caring older woman. "How are things there Harry?" Martha inquired.

"They are great mom. Clark is up in his room with Jodi and Jenna. I'm just sitting on the porch with Chloe and Lana," Harry answered, only revealing part of the truth without actually lying.

"Ok sweetie. I just wanted to check up on you and make sure you were ok," Martha informed her adopted son in a relieved tone.

"We're good...now go enjoy your anniversary mom. Remember that I love you," Harry instructed the Kent matriarch, pouring on the sweetness.

"I love you too baby," Martha replied before she hung up the phone.

"Mmm...you are too good at that," Chloe told her favorite male, having listened in as she snuggled into his shoulder.

A few minutes later, Whitney showed up and started acting like a jealous prat. The blonde quarterback and Lana were fighting it out in the barn and Harry was trying his best not to listen in with trying being the key word.

"Harry, Clark you better get out here," Lana yelled a few minutes later as she opened the back door of the house.

The two brothers found Whitney holding a pitch fork.

"Kent get up here," Whitney called as the two dark haired super teens came into the barn.

The group found Earl Jenkins under a tarp up in the loft.

"Earl...back off Whitney, I know him," Clark ordered.

"Earl what are you doing here?" Harry asked.

"I came to see your dad. He's the only one I can trust," Earl answered, obviously upset.

"He's out of town. What's wrong with you?" Clark questioned as Earl began to shake faster than any human should be capable of vibrating.

Earl was a meteor mutant.

"Call an ambulance," Clark shouted before he rushed off to make sure the task got done quickly, knowing his older brother would look after Earl.

When the Kents and their mates were in the waiting room of the hospital a short while later, the Sheriff came in and asked the receptionist, "Where can we find Earl Jenkins?"

"Excuse me...I'm a friend of Earl. Is he in some kind of trouble?" Clark questioned.

Alice informed Harry exactly the reason why the cops were present at the hospital. Earl was a murder suspect.

"Oh yeah," The Sheriff answered Clark just before everyone in the waiting room heard a crash and shouts coming from Earl's room.

The group rushed in to find the mutated man having another seizure. Orderlies and anyone else trying to approach Earl were getting violently thrown off of the mutant when they tried to grab him. Clark and Harry were able to hold their old friend down until the fit had ended.

When the two brothers arrived home the next morning, the house was a complete mess but with the wizard's vacuum energy abilities the Kent home was clean in a few minutes and you couldn't even tell anything had been amiss. Harry went back to the hospital that morning shape-shifted

into the form of his father. The doctors didn't know what was wrong with Earl other than the fact that their patient had meteor dust embedded in his skin. The physicians didn't even recognize that the particles were meteor dust. Earl's body was trying to get the foreign matter out.

Harry went into the hospital room to talk to Earl.

"Jonathan I am really glad to see you," Earl said with a relieved smile as he shook the disguised metamorphmagus' hand.

"Alright Earl what's going on? I can't believe that you would want to kill anybody," Harry started off with.

"It was an accident. I was trying to see Lionel Luthor," Earl explained.

Harry believed the dark skinned man because telepathy proved the validity of Earl's words. "Why did you want to see Luthor?" Harry probed further.

"To find out what they were using on Level Three," Earl answered. "According to records there is no Level Three. Luthor probably covered it up. I was assigned to clean that level when I got the job at the Smallville plant. They were doing these hush, hush crop experiments. It was a new kind of fertilizer that was supposed to make corn grow twice as fast. It was unstable and there was a huge explosion. I was cleaning at the time. After I was infected they shut it all down and I was transferred to Metropolis. Two months ago the jitters started. None of the doctors could tell me what's wrong. They said I needed to know what I was exposed to before they had any hope of finding a cure. But when I went back to the plant to find out the administration told me Level Three didn't exist. I need to find out what they were using," Earl elaborated, desperation plain in his voice.

"I've got some legal help for you Earl. I'll also see what I can do about some better doctors. You just rest now," Harry told his old friend before leaving.

The business class from Smallville High had a field trip to the Luthor Corp fertilizer plant later that day.

"Hello everybody I'm Gabe Sullivan Plant Manager and proud father. Hi sweetheart," Gabe, Chloe's dad, spoke as he waved at the blonde reporter.

"Hi dad," Chloe answered as she half hid behind Harry.

"Welcome to Luthor Corp where we give a crap," Gabe joked to the amusement of the audience. "Ok, somebody, kill me now," Chloe whispered in embarrassment.

The tour was going fine until the group reached the main control room. One of the door handles started rattling hard until the lock broke before Earl walked through and put a gun to Gabe's head.

"Don't move...take me to Level Three," Earl ordered Gabe. It was obvious that Earl was in a state of extreme distress.

"I swear I don't know anything about Level Three," Gabe insisted for the next forty-five minutes as Alice informed Harry the police were arrayed outside the plant.

"You're lying," Earl shouted.

"Earl, think about this. If Luthor went to the trouble of covering up all those accident reports do you think he wouldn't cover all of his tracks? You said it was top secret. Obviously very few people knew about it," Harry pointed out calmly.

"I went to where the elevator was and found a concrete wall," Earl replied.

"Obviously that is easy enough to fake. Think about this Earl. Whatever you hope to accomplish Lionel Luthor would gladly sacrifice all of us to cover up some illegal experiments he was performing," Harry reasoned while trying to be as calm as possible.

Earl seemed to not be thinking rationally due to desperation and sickness. Lionel called a few minutes later and Gabe put it on speaker phone.

"Mr. Luthor I finally got your attention haven't I," Earl loudly spoke over the phone. "Earl, why don't you come out," Lionel tried. "We've got a lot to talk about."

"Just tell me what you were using down on Level Three," Earl demanded vehemently while clutching his gun tighter.

"You're sick Earl. Let everyone go and we'll get you help," Lionel responded, the lie evident to the dragon animagus in the older billionaire's tone.

Just then, Earl had another seizure and grabbed onto a valve wheel for support, tearing the piece of steel off in the process. The valve was accidentally closed by the thrashing Earl before the control wheel ripped off. The methane pressure started to rise. The plant would explode soon if measures weren't taken.

"Look what you made me do," Earl shouted into the camera before shooting the monitoring device out.

"Earl you need to end this. Let's you and I go down and find Level Three. We'll blow down the wall and find the elevator," Harry suggested as the older Kent brother got closer to the irrational mutant.

Just when it looked like Earl wasn't going to agree, Harry acted faster than a normal human could but not so fast that the watchers would be suspicious. The part Kryptonian grabbed the gun out of Earl's hand and tucked it behind the waistband of his belt.

"You guys get out of here," Harry commanded the amazed students before turning back to Earl. "Now let's go find Level Three," Harry ordered Earl in a tone that brooked no argument.

The experienced mage gave Clark a significant look that the full Kryptonian apparently understood. Alice alerted her creator to the methane pressure dropping a few minutes later. Clark had super-sped back to the control room once the group had gotten under way evacuating the plant. Clark had then opened the valve by gripping the broken part of the control wheel with extreme force while turning it.

"How are we going to get through the wall?" Earl asked a few minutes later as the two males arrived where the elevator entrance used to be.

"Like this," Harry answered.

The billionaire telepath implanted the memory into Earl's mind of the genius Kent brother using plastic explosives on the wall which the young engineer just happened to keep on his person at all times when the super teen really just punched through the wall. When the pair reached Level Three, the duo found the large warehouse-like space deserted but its existence was proof enough. The two males quickly made their way back to the surface and Harry used Mr. Evan's pull to get Earl transferred to an Evans Corp run medical facility. A procedure that used a spell generator to summon the meteor dust from Earl saw the man cured.

With the evidence of the existence of Level Three and the amount of stress Earl was under, Harry's legal team was able to get Earl off on temporary insanity. Mr. Evans hired Earl on at Evans Corp until the settlement was reached on the lawsuit against Luthor Corp. By the end of the legal action, Earl would be a multi-millionaire. With him cured and having been proved right, Earl's wife took him back. Martha and Jonathan Kent were still unaware of the party or "Jonathan's" involvement in the events with Earl.

The Kent parents later heard about the hostage situation but that was after they got back from an enjoyable second honeymoon.

January 15th 2002, Metropolis Museum...

Clark, Lana, Chloe, and Harry were at the museum for an exhibit opening party/dinner. It was slightly awkward because the friends had all brought their dates. Even though Clark had two girlfriends now he wasn't comfortable around Lana with Whitney present. The jock and the younger Kent brother had never gotten along since the scarecrow incident. Clark went outside to get a breath of fresh air. A few minutes later the party-goers heard a loud crash from outside. One look through the wall with his x-ray vision showed the sorcerer his brother standing at the front of a totaled bus.

"I swear your brother actually comes close to attracting as much trouble as you do," Chloe sent with a teasing quality to her thoughts.

"Thanks dear," Harry answered with a smirk.

Clark took off before anybody showed up outside to see him standing there in a ruined suit, or so

he thought.

"Let me get that, dad," Harry instructed his father as he walked into the barn to find the blonde man trying to hoist an engine.

Martha was also present.

"Don't break a sweat," Jonathan joked as his alien son hoisted the engine easily without extra equipment.

"Oh don't worry there are plenty of more pleasant ways to break a sweat," Harry declared with a grin as he waggled his eyebrows.

"That reminds me. We wouldn't normally interfere in your love lives but I've noticed you and your brother are becoming quite free in your relationships," Jonathan stated as diplomatically as he could manage.

"If that is your way of telling me you and mom don't approve of multiple girlfriends then I am not sure what to say," Harry responded.

"It's not that we don't approve honey...we like Lana and Chloe a lot. We just hope you are using protection," Martha spoke up as the perceptive magician caught her glancing down at his crotch.

"There's no need to worry. I know plenty of effective forms of birth control," Harry said while insinuating methods such as pulling-out and more.

Just then Clark walked in, saving his brother from the rest of the conversation. "So how was Metropolis for you two last night?" Mrs. Kent inquired.

"Fine," Harry replied while Clark just handed his mother a newspaper article in response. "It could have been worse but I stopped the bus before anyone was hurt," Clark explained. "Are you alright?" Martha questioned with concern for her son.

"Oh he's fine...the bus not so much," Harry answered with a smirk.

"What if someone had seen you do it?" Jonathan wanted to know with obvious worry in his tone.

"Everyone was still in the museum," Clark argued.

"I think it is fine. There is no mention of any witnesses in the paper," Martha pointed out.

"Well we gotta get to school," Harry spoke up to stop another argument between his father and brother.

"We are real proud of what you did," Jonathan told Clark after a short pause before the two teens left with his father's statement putting a smile on the younger Kryptonian's face.

The Torch later that morning...

"Another scathing editorial?" Clark asked Chloe.

"Is there any other kind?" Chloe questioned with an impish grin.

"What happened to you last night Clark?" Lana inquired after she came into the room.

"I wasn't feeling very good. I had to go home," Clark made up which was falling back on his typical old excuse.

"Sullivan...is this your idea of a joke? Concerned parents have been calling all morning," Principal Kwan demanded as the administrator stormed into the Torch office and held up a copy of the Torch which talked about meteor mutants on the front page.

"Well what have you been telling them?" Chloe probed.

"What the EPA and other environment groups said years ago...the meteor rocks are harmless," Kwan replied.

"People have a right to know about the strange things that happen in this town," Chloe argued. "The Torch is a school newspaper. It's not your own personal tabloid," Kwan rebutted.

"Are you censoring me?" Chloe demanded.

"I'm requiring you to do your job, which is to report on relevant school events. I'm relieving you of your duties. The Torch is suspended until I can appoint a new editor," Kwan announced.

"Principal, are you sure you want to do that?" Harry questioned as he stood up and walked to stand right in front of the shorter man.

The dragon animagus stared down at the mortal Principal and peered deep into the administrator's very being. Kwan flinched while looking away before he finally relented.

"Just report on school issues only," Kwan finally stated before scurrying out of the room.

Harry was grabbed by the shoulder and turned around to face a teary eyed wife. Chloe embraced her man in a searing kiss, not caring that there were others present.

"You are so getting lucky a lot later," Chloe promised mentally. "Thanks," The female Asuran declared out loud.

After school at the farm...

Clark and Harry had just finished racing home at super-speed where the green eyed wizard had naturally won.

"I'm going to go see if dad is in the barn," Clark informed his older sibling before the younger alien went towards the red structure.

Harry shook his head at his brother's flimsy excuse for being alone to masturbate. Both of Clark's girlfriends were occupied with after school activities that day. A few minutes later, the perceptive dragon animagus heard a loud crash from the barn and raced out there to find Clark and another man present.

"Oh...Oh there are two of you," Sam Phelan spoke with glee.

"Who are you?" Clark demanded as he got up from throwing the engine off of himself that had obviously just dropped from an engine hoist onto the super teen.

"I am your new best friend Clark and Harry," Phelan informed the two teens.

Harry picked up Phelan's name from surface-thought telepathy. Just that brief brush with Phelan's mind gave Harry an unclean feeling.

"How do you know our names?" Clark asked naively.

"Well, I asked around. That's the beauty of a small town. Everybody is just so eager to help," Phelan said as he picked up what Harry recognized as a Metropolis Police badge from the floor from the location where the engine had fallen.

It wasn't terribly hard for the genius warlock to figure out that this dirty cop had lured Clark to a certain spot with the shiny badge before dropping the engine on the younger Kent brother.

"What do you want with us?" Clark demanded.

"Well your help. You see boys, I'm in a battle that I can't afford to lose because if I do the bad guys win. You two have this gift that I need," Phelan explained as he went to touch Clark.

"We'll never help you," Clark hotly informed the dirty officer as the alien teen grabbed Phelan's hand in a barely restrained growl.

"You have a secret that you don't want the world to know. I'm guessing that's why you didn't stick around for the TV cameras last night," Phelan threatened.

Alice just ran the dirty cop's image through the internet and Harry now knew everything about the seedy mortal. Phelan was being investigated by Internal Affairs for a long list of crimes ranging from the petty to multiple murders. IA didn't yet have hard proof but they were close.

At this point the warrior wizard had heard enough. The experienced fighter's fist came out and smashed into Phelan's jaw. Harry used just enough force to knock the crooked male down but not do serious damage.

"Leave now or you won't be leaving alive," Harry growled.

Phelan was smart enough to get off of the Kent farm for the time being.

"I'll take care of this Clark. We don't mention this to mom and dad. That man is a killer among other things," Harry informed his sibling.

"Alright Harry...I trust you," Clark agreed after he realized that he didn't know how to handle this situation.

A few minutes later...

Sam Phelan was hauling ass down the dirt road leading away from the Kent Farm and planning on figuring out how to control the two Kent boys when the dark haired teen named Harry appeared on the road in front of the dirty cop.

At sixty miles an hour Phelan had no time to stop before he hit the super teen. Phelan's car was virtually cut in half from the immovable force that was Harry Kent. Unfortunately for the

crooked cop he wasn't wearing a seatbelt. As the blackmailing murderer was ejected out of the front of the car he was caught in the iron hard grip of a very pissed off sorcerer. Amazingly Phelan was still alive at this point but he wouldn't be for much longer. Only the Asuran male's control over inertia saved the mortal from being mush.

"It's not very wise to fuck with my family. You're about to find out why," Harry informed Phelan before calling one of the puddlejumpers in orbit.

Sam Phelan disappeared from the super wizard's grip via wormhole transporter and reappeared on the surface of the sun. The murdering human's car followed suit. Any trace that the crooked cop had been in Smallville disappeared including the digital records from his debit card transactions. Alice easily went in and erased anything connecting Sam Phelan with Harry or Clark Kent. With his job done, the sorcerer went to find his blonde wife to collect on her earlier promise of getting lucky.

January 29th 2002...

The next week saw further distance grow between Lana and Whitney. The quarterback was pushing Miss Lang away. The final straw for Lana came when she asked Whitney to help with the blood drive she was running. Whitney pretty much blew the caring young woman off. The teenage Lang female was pretty much ready to give up on Whitney at that point. A little digging revealed that Whitney's dad was in the hospital for heart troubles.

Harry wasn't about to reveal this new information to Lana. If Whitney couldn't communicate with Lana then their relationship was doomed to failure anyway. The messy haired genius wasn't planning on prolonging the suffering of the dying animal the distanced couple's relationship represented. Chloe and her beau filled in to help Lana with the blood drive. When it came time for the two Asurans to give samples of plasma, their computer-watches synthesized normal human blood. The dragon animagus suspected giving a transfusion of his Kryptonian- Asuran DNA would have profound effects on the recipient.

Clark didn't even have to make an excuse up for not donating since he spent his time either on the farm or with his girlfriends. The youngest Kent's meditation training was coming along nicely. Harry had started training his brother in the various forms of martial arts the reality traveler knew. Just because they were super fast and super strong didn't mean the two super teens wouldn't come up against an enemy with similar abilities. Clark wasn't very good at the martial arts yet but the sorcerer had faith the younger male would quickly improve.

February 5th 2002, The woods beside the Kent farm...

"I thought learning to drive my dad's Volvo was difficult but at least the car came with windshield wipers," Chloe joked as she tried to maintain control of the horse behind Lana and her lover.

The trio was hanging out having fun with the horses. "You're doing great honey," Harry encouraged.

"I dropped my camera," Chloe declared.

"And you brought that why...?" Harry asked teasingly.

"I'm not out here doing this butt bashing thing for fun. These woods are like the Bermuda Triangle of Smallville. I'm serious, there are dozens of incidents in the last decade where people come out not remembering a thing," Chloe informed her companions.

"I'll get your camera honey," Harry told his mate before turning his horse around. "Thank you," Chloe said as she graced her favorite male with a wide smile.

"You have him so well trained," Harry heard Lana tell Chloe when Lana thought he was out of hearing range.

"Yes, yes I do," Chloe agreed with a smile in her voice because she knew their conversation wasn't out of Kryptonian hearing range.

As Harry located Chloe's camera, a local hermit named Kyle Tippet jumped out and spooked the Kent male's horse. The equestrian threw its rider as a result.

"Here let me help you up," Kyle offered his hand.

Harry took the offered appendage and as Kyle began to pull the sorcerer up, the perceptive immortal felt meteor rock radiation being channeled into his infection ward. A quick glance in Kyle's mind revealed everything the telepath needed to know. The hermit had gained powers of persuasion from the meteor shower. Kyle hid in the woods for fear of losing control, just as his old sales partner had become consumed by the power.

"You know you don't have to hide in the woods. You aren't alone," Harry informed the man as Kyle's face took on a look of surprise.

"It doesn't work on you?" Kyle deduced when he felt no sense of influence on the stranger via his ability.

"No...like you I am not normal. You won't lose control. You have already shown a great deal of self restraint," Harry pointed out.

"How do you know?" Kyle questioned.

"I know many things," Harry announced telepathically into the other male's mind.

"I'll think about it," Kyle replied while startled inside at the demonstration of telepathy.

"Fair enough," Harry answered as he jumped onto his horse after retrieving Chloe's camera.

Kyle had been using his powers to scare people out of the woods for the last decade and that was about it.

The next day on the Kent farm...

"Hi, my name is Bob Rickman. I'm looking for your father," Bob, a well dressed man, declared while offering Harry a hand to shake.

The sorcerer took the offered hand while already knowing of Rickman's powers of persuasion from Kyle's mind. While Rickman tried to feed his powers into the powerful Asuran, the wizard was reviewing the past decade of the meteor mutant's life from the mortal man's memories.

"You are a piece of work," Harry concluded in disgust as he saw murder after murder.

"What do you mean?" Rickman inquired as he tried to break the hold the quite strong teen had on the former salesman's hand.

"You know exactly what I mean," Harry asserted as he willed a silencing sphere around himself and his "guest."

"It's my turn to show you my power now," Harry informed Rickman with a feral grin.

Harry began channeling electricity into the meteor mutant's arm in ever increasing quantities. Nobody heard the murderer screaming even as the power reached a high enough level to burn his arm off at the shoulder. Finally the despicable man's heart exploded from too much power coursing through his body. When Bob Rickman dropped to the ground as a smoking corpse, the warlock finished off the job with a fire spell that burned the former mutant to ashes.

The Asuran male walked away whistling a happy tune as the world had one less habitual murderer in it.
