After getting some rest and talking to Zalyric, Rowan finally decided to leave his room. Then he went looking for River and Paul, the two faces he hadn't seen for days. He soon learned the reason why and that's because Zalyric had sent them to help clean up the Count's territory and assist Kain.
"How are you feeling now, Johann?" Paul asked, watching Rowan closely. The young man looked a little pale, his eyes distant.
"I'm fine," Rowan murmured. "I got plenty of rest and they've been feeding me well. It's just... people are treating me differently these days."
Paul glanced at River while silently asking him to do something to cheer Rowan up but River only shrugged helplessly.
"Then why do you look so sad?" River asked gently as he pulled out a chair and guided Rowan to sit.
