Chapter 5 - Back to Square One

Mandor wakes up and sees that his sheets are wet from how much he cried last night. He rarely does cry, so it's quite the thing for him, and so he gets off his bed and scratches his back and walks out of his room as he calls out for Grenkor. He sees Grenkor walk out of his room with a… disappointed look on his face, and before Grenkor says a word, Mandor talks: ''"Look, I know what you saw may… alter your opinion of me—"'' Grenkor interrupts him mid-sentence. ''"Alter?! Mandor I'd be surprised if my opinion stayed the same about you after that! You killed innocent people and destroyed civilizations all because you wanted unlimited power!"'' Mandor attempts to speak, saying'', "I-I—,"'' but Grenkor interrupts him. ''"No! You get NO excuses after what you did! …Look, I'm usually never this angry or frustrated at someone because I'm not that type of person. But when I see someone as horrible as you… it's no wonder why I'm pissed right now! You probably think it shouldn't weigh on you because you were forced into it, but it's your fault you put yourself in that situation in the first place! HELL, you even started enjoying it!"'' Grenkor is absolutely floored right now, as he just finished processing what he saw yesterday in that room.

Grenkor calms down a little bit as he continues speaking. ''"I'm leaving and never coming back… I joined you because I thought you were righteous and a kind person. But no, you're just as horrible as the one who captured you!"'' Grenkor starts heading towards the exit, but Mandor runs in front of him and gets on his knees. ''"N-No! Grenkor, please! I need you—"'' Grenkor interrupts him again. ''"NO! I will NOT help a MASS MURDERER! Especially when they ENJOYED IT! And it wasn't even just murder or destruction! You also made families mentally suffer too instead of just killing them quickly! "Yeah, I'm out of here, you piece of shit."'' Grenkor walks around Mandor and leaves Mandor sitting there by himself. Mandor keels over and hits the ground hard, causing it to crack quite a bit as he says, ''"GOD DAMN IT!! Not again… Every time I try to befriend him in every loop, it just never works out…"'' His voices begin blabbering again as the devilish one speaks: ''"Kill him Mandor! Make him pay for leaving you when you really needed him! ~"'' The logical cruel one interjects, ''"No, you buffoon, if we chase him now that ruins our logical chances of reconciling with him."'' The Fearing One is simply just crying right now as Mandor himself begins to cry a little.

After a couple minutes of sitting there, he wipes away his tears, and he gets up and decides ''I'll … I'll do it myself! Not like that giant ogre could add anything besides his strength anyway…"'' Mandor wipes himself off before going back to his workshop inside the base as he continues work. As he continues working on the soul extractor with the Dormite ore and mixing it with available resources, he finally finishes the first half of the soul extractor as he stores it in his bag. Mandor speaks, ''"Alright, that's the first half… Now I need Tremiumite for the second half, and I think it's in Sector 423F of hell…"'' Mandor takes his portal gun, but right as he's about to fire the portal gun, he hears a commotion outside, and he goes out to check, and he sees AN ARMY OF DEMONS RUSHING TOWARDS THE BASE AT FULL SPEED. Mandor immediately books it back into the base, taking the bag of important items before leaving through the portal before the demons get inside.

The demons quickly break down the metal walls as they bomb inside the base, checking for anyone, but there isn't anyone, as one of the demon soldiers says, ''"Where is that damn orange stickman and his ally?" Boss said he would be here!"'' Another one speaks up, looking older… wiser... A seasoned veteran: ''"It seems this batch of rebels has access to some sort of teleporting ability or technology… I can tell because I've dealt with these types of fellers before, and they always leave behind a bit of energy for me to sense, and this is one of a teleporting kind…"'' The demons grunt in frustration before raiding the place and destroying it before leaving. They all leave the base as one demon soldier grumbles and says, ''"Damn teleporters…"'' as they all fly away back to base.

'''Meanwhile, with Mandor.''' Mandor jumps out of the portal, breathing a bit after escaping, as he looks up and realizes he's in Sector 423F of hell as he walks over to a wall and sits down with his bag of important stuff. Mandor snarls in anger as he says, ''"And of fucking course the demons manage to find the base! Everything really likes to go downhill for me… Huh!"'' Mandor snarls again before getting up and looking around, catching a glimpse of a nearby Demon Output in this sector of hell that's placed beside the Tremiumite mine. Mandor smiles as he rushes over there, but suddenly when he's running forward, someone suddenly appears in front of him, causing him to run into them as they both fall over. The voice speaks, ''"Augh, what the fuck, dude?! Why'd you run into me?!"'' The voice sounded feminine as Mandor got up and groaned in pain a little. ''"You suddenly appeared in front of me, so I didn't see you!"'' The woman also gets up, and she's quite tall but not as tall as Mandor, and Mandor guesses she's probably 6'2". The woman speaks'', "Whatever, just get out of my way, Stickboy." I'm trying to get these mine's resources to sell later at my shop."'' Mandor stops them. ''"So am I… And I'm going to be getting that Tremiumite myself!"'' The woman staggers back a little bit by how fast Mandor is. ''"J-Jeez! You're fast... Wait, how do you know about Tremiumite?! That shit's a kept secret throughout hell and its ruler!"''

Mandor smirks as he says, ''"I've been into hell before many, many times, so I know my way around this place quite well, and I know of various secret resources Hades wants to keep unknown from the general populace of hell."'' The woman speaks up, being a little surprised. ''"What do you know about Tremiumite?..."'' Mandor puts his fingers on his empty face like he's pushing up glasses as he says, "''I'm aware that Tremiumite has the capacity to warp and manipulate the very soul of beings who contain them… It's also one of the most valuable resources in hell, and very few rebel groups and people know about it, Hades himself being included in the people who know and his royal demon guard."'' The woman scoffs''. "You know more than I thought…"'' The woman puts out her hand as she speaks. ''"The name's Kaela... And yours?"'' Mandor shakes her hand as he speaks''. "Mandor... Are you looking to team up or something?"'' Kaela laughs as she says'', "And from what I'm sensing from you… You seem to have superhuman intelligence and superhuman capabilities…"''

Mandor nods as he says, ''"Magician in your past life I'm assuming?"'' Kaela nods back as she confirms she was once a magician in her past life. ''"You're a damn good guesser too… Makes sense with your intelligence… Anyways, what's the plan Mandor? Got any ideas for how we can break in?"'' Mandor and Kaela walk over to a nearby cliff that overlooks the outpost. ''"Yeah, I got a few ideas, but I'm going to need your help for some of them."'' The duo looks down at the outpost that's next to the mines. Mandor speaks up. ''"Alright, so we're going to have to get the guard next to the tower, and you take his armor and weapon. Then you'll act like a guard and go in and try to get another guard to follow you out over here. Then we'll kill that guard, and I'll steal his armor so we can use it as disguises. Then we'll sneak into the Tremiumite mine with these and try to take as many resources as possible and put them into this bag I have before we exit through a back part of the mines unsuspected!"''

Kaela looks at Mandor, then smiles before saying, ''"Alright then… Give me a second…"'' Kaela runs over to the side of the cliff before pulling out 2 blades as she walks off the cliff, and she uses her blades to slow her down a little bit every time, and she descends the cliff successfully. She lands on the ground as she runs over to a nearby large rock before running up to the wall at superhuman speeds before a guard on a tower could see her. She quickly reaches the back of the soldier next to the tower and taps their shoulder, and they turn around only for their throat to be pierced immediately as Kaela stabs them in the head, killing the guard.

She takes the guard's armor before donning it herself, and it fits her quite well, as she says, ''"Damn, this stuff feels nice!..." Now to get one for Mandor…"'' She walks to the front gate as she coughs and asks for them to open it in a deep voice. The guards look at her a bit before nodding and opening the gate. She chuckles to herself a bit''. "Man, these guys are dumbasses…"'' Kaela enters the gate as it opens, acting like a guard. She walks over to another guard as she tells them, ''"I found something weird outside the gate; I need help inspecting it."'' The guard turns around, being suspicious of it, but nods before following her. They run quite the mile as the guard gets more and more suspicious, and the guard even perks up''. "Hey, we are going waaay past the gate… Where are we headed?"'' Kaela smirks as they reach the bottom of the cliff as an orange stickman (Mandor) starts falling from the top of it. The guard looks up and sees Mandor falling and immediately draws his sword, but it's too late as Mandor falls at 30 miles an hour, reaching the guard quickly as he gets punched so hard in the head it immediately caves in and even explodes as the guard falls to the floor dead. Mandor gets up just fine as he wipes himself off, quickly putting on the gear himself, and Kaela is really shocked how he survived a kilometer fall with no injury at all, but she just decides it's best not to question Mandor anymore.

Mandor looks at Kaela before saying, ''"Alright, now we just need to get to the mines, which is only a kilometer away from the post. But I'm thinking we set up camp for now in that cave and raid the mine the next morning. What do you say?"'' Kaela has no objections, as she's quite tired herself, and this armor is heavy duty, so it's also quite tiring to wear, so the duo walks into a nearby cave that goes inside the cliff. Mandor finds a good place to rest before falling asleep. Kaela does the same, but she looks over Mandor one last time before going to bed herself.
