Synopsis
--- Chapter 1 – A Random Day It was just another ordinary Friday at Crestwood High. The cafeteria buzzed with chatter and laughter as students shared stories, jokes, and snacks. Lila sat with her friends, enjoying the brief respite from homework and tests. Then it happened. A group of bullies approached, pushing, teasing, and saying things that cut deeper than words should. One cruel act — a harsh insult, a spilled drink, or a personal secret revealed — shattered Lila’s composure. Her chest tightened, her vision blurred with tears, and without thinking, she bolted from the cafeteria. She ran past the playground, the school gates, and into the dense forest beyond, desperate for a place to cry alone. Branches clawed at her arms and leaves crunched under her feet. Her heart raced, but she barely noticed the path, her mind drowning in hurt and anger. And then she stumbled. A massive, decaying building loomed ahead — the abandoned Crestwood Hospital. It was a place of whispered rumors, of people who had gone missing long ago. Lila didn’t notice its dark reputation. She only noticed the pull she felt — something inside the hospital seemed to call to her, drawing her closer. Compelled by a mix of exhaustion, curiosity, and an unexplainable force, she stepped inside. The heavy doors groaned shut behind her, and the air inside was thick with dust, silence, and something… more. This was no longer just a forest hideaway to cry alone. This was the beginning of something far more dangerous. ---

Chapter 2 – Lila Missing

It was 9 PM, and the dorms were quiet. Lila's friends — Maya, Kaden, and Aria — lounged in their room, trying to unwind after a long day at school, when suddenly, Maya frowned.

"Wait… Lila isn't back yet," she said, checking the clock.

Panic bubbled up. They called out for her, checked the common areas, and even peeked outside, but there was no sign of her.

Desperate for answers, they remembered the bullies — the ones who had caused Lila so much trouble earlier. Maybe they had seen her?

They knocked on the bullies' door and asked.

"Have you seen Lila?" Kaden demanded.

The bullies, Rico and Darren, shrugged, smirking. "Nope. Haven't seen her all day."

With no help there, they tried calling the police — only to realize their phones had no network. Fear grew in their chests, but they didn't panic.

Instead, they did what made sense. They searched the school grounds, peeking into classrooms, the library, and dorm areas. When that yielded nothing, they asked around the city, hoping someone had seen her.

Hours passed, but still there was no trace of Lila.

Defeated and worried sick, they returned to the school to report her missing. The staff acted quickly, informing everyone in the school about Lila's disappearance.

Her friends' hearts sank. Nobody knew where she was, and with each passing minute, the worry grew heavier. Lila had vanished, and the city felt colder and emptier without her.
