The room was quiet, though the tension from earlier still lingered. Rito sat stiffly on the floor, Mikan beside him with her arms folded, while Lala leaned forward on the bed, chin resting on her hands, her tail swaying lazily.
All three of them stared at Jay, waiting for an explanation.
Jay finally spoke, his tone calm and even.
'Well how about I tell you guys the story from the beginning."
"From the age of five, I started training my body every single day. Push-ups, running, striking drills—anything to make myself stronger. I pushed until my body couldn't move."
Rito blinked. "That early? Five years old…?"
Jay nodded.
"But when I turned ten… something changed. My eyes awakened."
He tapped beneath his sharp blue gaze.
"Six Eyes."
Mikan tilted her head. "Six… Eyes? You only have two, though."
Jay smirked faintly.
"It's not about numbers. Six Eyes is a perception ability. With it, I can see every form of energy in existence. Mana, ki, life force, elemental particles… everything. And not just see—I can control them with absolute precision."
Rito's jaw nearly hit the floor. "So you're saying… that you can use ki like in martial arts manga? And mana like in fantasy stories?"
"Exactly," Jay said simply.
"From that point, I didn't just train my body. I trained my control over energy itself. Every breath, every heartbeat—mastered through Six Eyes."
Mikan pursed her lips, trying to process it.
"That explains why you're… not normal. But still… it sounds unbelievable."
Rito glanced toward Lala, then asked the question that had been bothering him.
"…Then what about Lala? Who exactly is she?"
Lala perked up, smiling brightly.
"Me? Oh, I'm just Lala Satalin Deviluke~! The first princess of the Deviluke royal family, rulers of the galaxy. Nice to meet you again officially, Rito, Mikan!"
Rito froze. "F-first… princess…?"
Mikan's eyes widened. "Wait—so you really are an alien?!"
Lala laughed, carefree as ever. "Yep! But don't worry, I'm not dangerous. I just wanted to live freely here on Earth."
Before anyone could respond, a heavy knock boomed against the front door.
THUD. THUD.
Jay's eyes narrowed. "…He's here."
The group moved downstairs, and when the door slid open, a tall armored man stood waiting, cape fluttering. Zastin.
His tone was stern, but respectful. "Jay Oosuki. By King Gid Lucione Deviluke's command, I've come to test your strength. Reports of your earlier… your message has reached him."
Jay stepped forward, hands in his pockets. His voice was flat.
"…So the king wants proof. Fine. Let's end this quickly."
In a flash of light, Jay teleported everyone to a desolate field under the night sky. The air was heavy with silence, the vast emptiness chosen as his battlefield. At the edge, Rito, Mikan, and Lala stood frozen, their eyes locked on him with nervous anticipation
Zastin unsheathed his blade and lunged with inhuman speed. His strikes blurred, slashing from every direction—yet each one slowed, halted, and stopped just short of Jay's body.
Jay didn't move. His Infinity was already active, an invisible barrier blocking the knight's sword.
Zastin gritted his teeth, attacking harder, faster, but it was useless. Not a single strike connected.
Jay sighed. "Enough."
He raised a single finger… and flicked.
CRACK!
The sound was sharp, explosive. Zastin's head snapped back, his body flung across the yard before collapsing unconscious in the dirt.
Silence.
Rito and Mikan stood frozen, their eyes wide. Even Lala clapped softly, her voice full of wonder.
"Wow~! As expected of Jay!"
But Jay's expression had shifted—serious, cold. His gaze wasn't on them anymore. He was staring far, far away.
Then a communication device flies from Zastin's body and transmits sound. A deep voice resonated through the air,
"…Impressive. To defeat my knight with a single strike. You are truly fascinating."
Rito and Mikan shivered.
Lala straightened, recognizing the voice instantly.
"Papa…"
Jay's lips curled faintly. His voice dropped, sharp as ice.
"Don't play games, Gid. From the very beginning, I knew you were watching. I know where you are. I know your condition. With your body like that, do you really think you can fight me? Don't joke."
The atmosphere turned suffocating. A wave of killing intent erupted from Jay, thick and merciless, reaching across the stars themselves.
Far away, Gid Lucion Deviluke—the king of an empire—felt it pierce through him. His eyes widened, then slowly narrowed with grim respect.
"…Hahaha! Excellent. Very well, Jay Oosuki. You are worthy. I accept you as a candidate to marry my daughter."
Jay's eyes narrowed.
"The truth is, I already care about someone else—another woman. If I decide to be with Lala, it would mean accepting that I may not be hers alone. Would you be alright with that?"
He didn't name her, but deep inside, a certain face Elysia flashed across his mind.
Before Gid could respond, Lala skipped forward, hands behind her back, grinning brightly.
"Of course it's fine! That just means I'll have more sisters and friends to play with~!"
Gid chuckled.
"If my daughter accepts it, then I will not object. With your power, boy… you may indeed shape galaxies."
Jay sighed, running a hand through his hair.
"Fine. But… I'll only make things official after I confess to the girl I like. Until then, we can try to be closer.."
Lala beamed.
"No problem~! I'll wait!"
and then Zastin stirred faintly, groaning as he pushed himself up from the ground. His armor was cracked, and a faint line of blood trailed from his temple.
Before he could fully rise, Jay knelt beside him, pressing his palm over the wounds.
A faint glow radiated from Jay's hand, energy flowing with perfect precision. In seconds, Zastin's injuries closed, his strength returning.
"…You… healed me?" Zastin muttered in disbelief.
Jay rose to his feet. "I don't hold grudges. Your king ordered you. That's all."
For a moment, Zastin looked at him with a mixture of gratitude and wariness. Then he nodded stiffly.
"I understand… Jay Oosuki. Perhaps you truly are…" His voice trailed off, the words unnecessary.
Jay exhaled softly, then gestured toward the house.
"Rest. I'll take it from here."
In a ripple of energy, Jay used magic Gatom and teleported them back inside Rito's home.
The group settled quietly in the living room. The earlier tension had faded, leaving only fatigue.
Jay glanced toward the siblings. "I'll sleep in the living room tonight. Lala, you can stay with Mikan—if she doesn't mind."
Mikan blinked, caught off guard, then gave a small shrug. "…It's fine. I don't mind."
"Yay~! Sleepover with Mikan!"
Lala cheered, tail wagging happily.
Rito rubbed the back of his head, awkward.
"Uh, Jay… if you want, you can use a futon in my room. I don't mind sharing space."
Jay shook his head.
"No. I still have something to take care of. You all should just rest."
Something in his tone told Rito not to press further.
"…Alright. Good night, then."
One by one, they drifted to their rooms, leaving Jay alone in the silent living room.
Mikan's Perspective
Her room was dim, the moonlight slipping through the curtains. Mikan sat at the edge of her bed, brushing her hair absently while Lala hummed a tune, already sprawled comfortably under the blanket.
But Mikan's thoughts weren't calm.
That part earlier… when Jay said he already liked someone. Who is she?
Her mind sifted through memories. Jay never showed interest in any girl. Not at school. Not in the neighborhood. The only women he interacted with regularly were herself… and Mamako.
No… that doesn't make sense. Then who?
Her chest tightened at the thought, a strange, unexplainable ache. She bit her lip, shaking her head.
"Hey, Mikan?"
Lala's voice broke her thoughts. Mikan glanced over quickly. "…What?"
"You looked a little down. Are you okay?" Lala asked, her tone light, but her eyes unusually sharp.
"…It's nothing," Mikan muttered, too fast.
Lala tilted her head, smiling knowingly. "Do you like Jay, Mikan?"
Mikan froze, her cheeks burning instantly. "Wh-what are you talking about?!"
Lala giggled softly, not teasing but warm. "When Jay said he already liked someone, your face looked sad. But don't worry, Mikan~ it's not hopeless."
Mikan's heart pounded, flustered beyond words. "…You—why would you even—"
"Because," Lala continued cheerfully, "Jay is strong. And strong men often end up with many wives. If you chase him seriously, maybe you'll be one of them. And if Jay marries you, then we'll become sisters! Isn't that nice?"
Mikan's face turned crimson, her voice barely a whisper. "…S-sisters…?"
Lala nodded happily. "Mmhm! I'd love that."
Mikan buried her face in her pillow, flustered beyond belief, while Lala just giggled, humming until she drifted toward sleep.
Jay's Perspective
The living room was silent, lit only by the faint glow of his phone. Jay leaned back against the couch, scrolling briefly through notifications, then tapped open a private window.
{Private Chat}
Nah I Win: "I'll be visiting your world tomorrow. There are some things I need to handle there."
Siscon Maou: "Ehhh? Out of nowhere? You can't just drop that on me like it's nothing!"
Nah I WIn: "Better than leaving you uninformed."
Siscon Maou: "True, true~ but now I'm curious. Why suddenly? Did something happen today?"
Nah I Win: "Nothing important. Just fought a knight who came after me. Took him down with a single flick."
Siscon Maou: "...Wait. WHAT?! One flick?? Are you telling me you really flicked some poor guy and he collapsed? LOL"
Nah I Win: "That's exactly what happened."
Siscon Maou: "Sigh… Jay-kun, you're terrifying sometimes. I almost pity the people who pick fights with you."
Nah I Win: "That's their mistake. Not mine."
Siscon Maou: "Fair. Anyway, if you're coming here, let me know before you jump dimensions. I'll be waiting at the portal personally~"
Nah I win: "Fine. I'll message you before I move."
Siscon Maou: "I'll make sure your arrival feels special ♥"
Jay closed the chat window, setting his phone aside. The room returned to silence, leaving only the hum of the night.
(What a day… Moving out because of Masato, then meeting Lala, Gi's test. And now marriage…)
He exhaled deeply, dragging a hand across his face.
(And tomorrow, Serafall's world. No rest. No pause. I can't afford to slow down.)
His eyes drifted shut, though his mind stayed sharp, replaying every step. The weight of it all pressed heavy, yet his heartbeat remained steady.
The night stretched on, calm and endless.
