Oh, this is torture. Worst than school in my opinion. At least I could scroll on my phone while at school, but here, I got none of that shi. Who would have guessed that sleeping would get annoying, and who would have guessed I won't get another opportunity of rest as I entered the areas with mountains and uneven elevation... Reminds me of the homeland... Ahh, home... Even in this world I gain a sense of peace remembering where I came from.
I took a deep breath, the air carrying a cold chill through the opened window. The snow fell gently down, a few snow flakes even made their way in the cabin and onto by coat. I was in bliss, true bliss, one born of peace.
With the gaze of a curious child, I looked out as if I hadn't seen snow in a year, yet this view was enchanting, how peaceful everything looked... But now was no time to get all sentimental, time to take on the manual control and make quality.
Still, what a nice, slow ride - I wish this were the case for all the railway.
Left - right - a bit forward - long turn left - continue along the edge of the mountain while maitaining perfectly elevated rail.
This railway was special, there were no two directions, only one, and it was around the mountain; why? Well, because it's beautiful, gives people more time to appreciate the time they have had in the ski resort. But that's just a vision.
Now I just need to make it real.
...
Minutes passed as I drove on, gently steering the mechanism in the right direction. I don't even know why i'm complaining, this is actually quite nice... Look over there.
Right there, the clouds casting pillars of light where there are none. The snow falling gently, not enough to be called a blizzard - a simple light rain.
I just need to continue...
The nice part about all of this is when I get to return home, my time with my dearest is always well spent, we bring eachother a sense of peace, we also occasionally share philosophies or lessons that we might have learnt through out the days...
...
Finally It's finished... The railway at least. Now I had to figure out the logistics, and the schedule... and the advertisements... But I got myself to blame, big ambitions require lots of work to become real... Though it is truly the best part of desire - desire is the source of all suffering, and suffering is the source of greatness. When I think about it, this statement doesn't truly apply if one doesn't see the point in their own suffering. But enough of this philosophical talk, I can finally move with haste... Or more like, at a more comfortable adjustable pace of 30 to 70 km/h. Yippee! Yippee! Yippee! Yippee!Yippee!Yippee!
Anyways... What's on my to do list? Oh yeah, nothing, cuz I didn't write any new tasks, welp, time to improvise, or in other terms, see what's unfinished, the resort is unfinished I would need to add a few more stuff, like a steam engine that would power the kinetic needs, perhaps I could make electricity... Nah, call it El mana and that's that, now we can create mage lights and stuf-... wait, no, what about hair drying, or any other device that uses electricity to make rotation for that matter?
Welp, I could probably start transforming the kingdom once I'm done with the devil king. But for now... Eh, I will have it just in the resort, better to give them a taste before going all out... When I think about it this sounds quite bad out of context... Forget it, I'm literally thinking, no one can hear this, not even Vanir.
With that I moved onto the more important part, the logistics of my rail way - the idea is to not put too many trains, but enough to have a steady flow of people and goods, the train for the goods will transport stuff for people, of course for a pay, and for me, so I can sell my stuff in the soon to be markets.
As I'm planning this I need to go and set up everything to auto print in the following days, after which I will create a signal system to tell people how much longer it would take for the trains to arrive, not only that though, it's a way for the trains to communicate with one another, all through the power of the SOUL.
So now it's on, wherever I go the powerline follows, carrying signals through the tracks, and since it's only a mix between information and mana and not electricity. These signals not only would help once I let the trains loose, but would also send signals to the stations - that's how it would show how far trains are from the station that the person would be lounging.
This was far faster... and If I use a piece of myself and put it in to turn the cart into a brain, I could automate this while I teleport around and wire everything together. This allows me to move onto the more enjoyable part, automation of the Snowfield resort. I can already see it - the factories on the side beyond the wall, with a conveyor belt that would craft and polish and enchant skis and snowboards, and also the pulleys... Oh, the pulleys, I still remember how peaceful it is at the top of the mountain. Anyways, some more features would be automatic cooking system along with conveyor and tiny elevators that would deliver the meals to the tables, I just need to learn some recipes to add to the menu and after this i'm done.
The last thing though - employees, I would need healers primarily, because if someone does get hurt, that would be needed; then reception and a artists to draw cool designs on the skis and snowboards so people have some uniqueness... I would need to reinvent the skis though, how hard can it be?
Nevermind, it's really not that hard, I just need to design it properly and I can have a cool looking spring mechanism that would lock a person's foot on the ski, I also need the boots, of course.
My gaze went outside, the sky was painted in hues of orange and darker purple night was approaching... As much as I would like to finish everything today - i prefer to uphold my promise. For if I didn't... Do my words weight anything?
Tonight was a good night, a good conversation - like usual, lovely food - like usual, and also pie - not like usual, it seems my dearest has come earlier today and has made another cherry pie... I'm glad to see her will - her desire to keep the home warm.
Her presence is always the thing I look forward to after a long day of work... Am I starting to repeat myself?
Eh, let's move on.
The next day came, morning is nice, yara yara, I teleported to the Snowfield Resort and got to work, I set up an industrial area, not as grand as the one in the desert, but close enough(false), I set up a giant steam engine, with many crankshafts that connects via a chaindrive, this energy is then transported through a chain conveyor, each building has one so they can share power. This rotational force then is transformed into a bit of mana so there is some for the exchange, then a piece of iron is pulled out of the "infinity" storage I have set up, since i'm using logistics here, and also because it's too boring to have everything at your finger tips.
As I moved inbetween buildings I heard a movement in the snow, which caused me to stop in my track. I looked in the direction of the sound, more sound emerged as a wave of ice quickly moved towards me, I quickly rolled away, looking at the source I saw a darkish silver fur as well as the breath of a beast of a wolf, it was almost as big as me. But not only that, behind it were more wolves, which had a brighter, snow coloured fur. Yeah, I ain't fighting all that, I drew my steam-blade from my astral storage and yelled, "Shogun!!!" in hopes of summoning him, since he is the guardian of the place.
I sledgehammer kicked the ice, breaking it under my boot before dashing forward and dispersing an immense amount of steam, I heard footsteps from the side and instantly drew my revolver in my left, I stuck the sword on my right and used it to spin till the pole's are reversed, the sword cut down through something while I shot at the one on my right, which stumbled into me, at least it's dead.
As the steam quickly settled I saw a snowy mist rolling from above, just as another wave of ice was moving in my direction - this was definitely cordinated - the shogun fell onto the ice and broke it, before quick drawing and slashing towards the wolf which growled and jumped back, barely avoiding the strike.
"Shogun!" I exclaimed happily, before moving to his side.
The pack was scared, their attempted advances were more hesitant, now that two of their packmates have been slain. Yeah, this neutral position sucks. I raised my weapon and shot at the leader, the silver one with ice abilities.
Fuck, why am I thinking about chess positions right now. I switched up to the more realistic variant, throwing myself at the enemies right now would be a stupid decision, I might be able to parry a few times, but I can't parry if they all try to tear me apart, not only that I would be a nuisance to the shogun if I try to go in now, so it's best I keep my range and let him be the tank.
Perhaps it's best we don't provoke them, maybe to scare them off... But how.
"Shogun, keep your eyes closed." I said, as my weapons vanished, I placed the index and middle finger of both hands on my forehead at the third eye chakra and straight up flashbanged the pack with a bajilion majilion luminance. They quickly looked away. "Now!" I drew my weapons and shot at the leader before moving to finish him, too bad the cordination was lacking and I was kind of pushing against the Shogun. At least the leader's dead, right? Yeah, nah, he ran away and the pack followed. At least that's dealt with.
"Nice work." I tried to fist bump the Shogun, but he didn't do anything except sheath his blade and look at me weirdly.
I give him a 5_5 face and just return to work. So yeah, that's that, I should probably clean the bloody mess outside my factories, but since it's cold enough, I doubt they will rot, not an excuse though, I placed them in the astral storage and removed the bloodied snow.
Anyways, two conveyor belts with two different functions, to make skis and snowboards, the differences aren't that many though - for example bending the metal, cutting it and recycling the clippings, then polishing, and installing the mechanism that would keep the foot on the board/boards. The iron is perfectly polished and sharpened before being enchanted to stay that way, and for the boots, I had to make a separate more computer-like system, the person gets the size of their foot and the machine adjusts based on that. This whole thing is connected to a building inside which is the shop for skis and snowboards, first is always free, if a person likes the experience they will definitely be back for more, which means more money.
Anyways... Where was I??? I looked with wide opened yet tired eyes. Ah yes, time for automating the kitchen and this delivery thingy... Yay... I want to go home... But I'm in my flow state... BRUHHHHH!H!H!!
I quickly created the blueprint in my mind and used it to destroy, which filling in that space, basically fill command with the replace thingy in minecraft.
This made stuff quick and without pain... Now I just need to make recipes and also wire everything together... Yeah, nah, fuck this, I'm not dealing with this today, I'm going home.
