Chapter 44 - 44

At the beginning of the video, Tony Stark was wearing an iron armor and sunglasses, eating a donut in big mouthfuls. As the camera zoomed out, everyone was shocked to find that Tony Stark was actually sitting on a huge donut statue.

"Sitting on a donut and eating a donut, I don't find it strange at all why Stark would do something like this." Phil Coulson couldn't help but complain.

"This behavior is very 'Stark'!" Clint Barton agreed deeply.

"No!" Thor looked mad, "Stark, you actually did this to donuts. I swear I will never eat donuts again."

God help him, he used to think donuts were delicious.

Then the camera zoomed out again, and a bald, boiled egg head appeared.

"Sir, please get off the donut!" Nick Fury shouted with his head tilted back.

The camera switches to Tony Stark and Nick Fury sitting in a cafe, and Tony Stark gets straight to the point: "I don't want to join your Superboy gang."

"I remember you did everything yourself." Nick Fury smiled and picked up a cup of coffee. "And what was the result?"

"The result, the result..." Tony Stark opened his mouth, obviously not wanting to say this. He stretched his head to look at Nick Fury, "I don't want to cause you to misunderstand, but should I look at your eyepatch or your eyes?"

Nick Fury looked at Tony Stark with a half-smile.

"Honestly, I'm a little hungover." Tony Stark pulled his sunglasses halfway down. "Honestly, I'm not sure if you're real or just an illusion."

"I'm a real person." Nick Fury leaned forward, and his egg-headed face moved closer to Tony Stark. "I'm the most real person you've ever met."

"I'm so lucky, where are the employees here?" Tony Stark muttered as he quickly looked away, as if his eyes were stung by Nick Fury's sparkling boiled eggs.

"This is not good." Nick Fury stretched out his hand to Tony Stark's neck. The camera gave a close-up here, and it was seen that there were black stripes on Tony Stark's neck, like circuits spread on his neck.

"That's the symptom of palladium poisoning, right?" Phil Coulson turned to Tony Stark and asked.

"Yes, that's the symptom of palladium poisoning." Tony Stark, who was standing next to Phil Coulson, pulled down his collar, revealing the same markings as in the video.

Of course, the markings are not as dense as in the video, and the color is not as dark, which means that Tony Stark in the video has more severe palladium poisoning than Tony Stark now.

At this time, another person appeared in the video. She was wearing a tight-fitting dress that perfectly outlined her exquisite curves.

"I've cleared the entire area, but it's best not to take too long." The enchanting woman's voice also sounded familiar.

This person was none other than Natasha Romanoff, my fellow answerer.

"You're fired!" In the video, Tony Stark knew what was going on as soon as he saw Natasha Romanoff.

"That's not for you to decide." Natasha Romanoff sat next to Nick Fury with a charming smile on her face.

"Tony, this is Agent Romanoff." Nick Fury also smiled and introduced him to Tony Stark.

"I'm an undercover agent for S.H.I.E.L.D. When we knew you were sick, Director Fury sent me to observe you." Natasha Romanoff said again.

"You guys at S.H.I.E.L.D. are really arrogant." Tony Stark couldn't help but complain after seeing this scene, "It's fine if you're just undercover, but you actually said it directly in front of me."

"Is this Nick Fury?" Thor stared at the Egghead in the video. "Is this the Nick Fury I want to see?"

"Yes, Thor, this is Fury Sir,

My boss," Phil Coulson said, "he's the one who told me to wait for you in New Mexico."

"Then I guess I don't have to go see him." Thor said a little disappointedly. After coming to this question-answering space, he realized that Nick Fury knew that he was coming to Earth entirely because of answering questions. It was impossible for him to know about his father's arrangement.

"You can still meet him." Phil Coulson knew his boss would definitely want to meet Thor. "Captain Fury may not be able to resolve your doubts, but as the Director of S.H.I.E.L.D., he can help you with many things."

"For example?" Thor looked indifferent. He didn't think an ordinary mortal could help him.

"For example, if you don't rely on Director Fury, you can't even get your hammer." Phil Coulson said, "I mean, get close to the hammer. After all, you can't even lift the hammer now."

"That's my hammer!"

"How are you going to prove it's yours?" Phil Coulson asked.

"I..." Thor was suddenly speechless. Yes, how could he prove that it was his hammer? After all, he was separated from the hammer when he was exiled to Midgard, and he couldn't even lift the hammer.

"This kind of thing falls under the jurisdiction of S.H.I.E.L.D. If Director Fury and I hadn't seen the video and believed you, you wouldn't even be able to get near the hammer."

"Okay, I'll meet Nick Fury first." Thor thought about it and agreed to meet Nick Fury first.

While Phil Coulson and Thor were talking, the video in the space switched again. Poor Natasha Romanoff, the thorny rose, disappeared from the camera as soon as she appeared.

The new shot is in a seaside villa, where Nick Fury and Tony Stark are sitting together. In the distance, Phil Coulson is holding a telescope and observing something.

"That thing on your chest is based on unfinished technology," Nick Fury said.

"No, it's a finished product," Tony Stark denied. "It only worked after I shrunk it down."

"No, your father said the Ark Reactor was just a stepping stone to something greater," Nick Fury said. "He was going to start a power race that would leave all his rivals in the dust."

"You told me I haven't tried them all, what do you mean? What haven't I tried?" Tony Stark asked.

"He said that you are the only one with the resources and wisdom to complete the plan he started." Nick Fury held a glass filled with an unknown liquid.

"He said that?" Tony Stark asked back.

"Is he talking about you?" Nick Fury asked in return, "If it is you, you can solve the mystery in your heart."

"I don't know how you know this, but my father doesn't like me that much..."

"What do you remember about your father?"

"He's cold and calculating. He never said he liked me, never said he loved me. What's hard for me to understand is that you told me that my future depends on me."

"That's not true."

"Then it's clear you know my father better than I do."

"In fact, yes, he was one of the members who founded S.H.I.E.L.D."
