"You go too far!" the Darkness Sovereign roared.
This Aether Sovereign Spark—no one could yet determine its level before full refinement.
If it turned out to be a High Sovereign Spark, then even if his Sovereign clone died, his overall strength wouldn't decrease significantly.
After all, Power of Will rewards wouldn't disappear just because a Sovereign clone was destroyed.
But if the Spark wasn't High-level—say, only a Mid Sovereign Spark—then his power would drop drastically. Even if it were ten times stronger than a typical Mid Sovereign, the fall from grace would be severe.
And if it were a Low Sovereign Spark, then the loss would be catastrophic.

"I can promise you this," Olivier said. "If I become a Supreme Overgod, I'll make you my Supreme Overgod Emissary. Even if you become a Low Sovereign, your power will rival that of a High Sovereign!"
Still, the Darkness Sovereign was unwilling.
He was a Sovereign! Refining the Aether Spark would boost his power tenfold. How could he just give up?
"Think carefully. If you refuse, and I kill your Sovereign clone, you will never regain your former power!"
The Darkness Sovereign knew his fate was sealed and had no choice but to surrender.
He separated his Sovereign clone from the rest of his being.
With one slash, Olivier destroyed it and seized the Darkness High Sovereign Spark, immediately beginning the blood-refinement process.
Moments later—
Olivier's Darkness clone became the new Chief Darkness Sovereign.
The powers of Light and Darkness Sovereign Sparks fused within Olivier's body.
The divine essence from his previous Spark refinements played a key role in the fusion.
Suddenly, six Supreme Overgod phantoms manifested in Heaven.
"Olivier, the Supreme Overgod of Time has ascended to his position!"
Olivier felt the transformations within him.
He transformed his two divine swords into Supreme Overgod Artifacts, then flung them outward in opposite directions.
The two blades cleaved open a long river of time.
"From this day forth, the River of Time shall be revealed! From this point on, time can be reversed!"
