Tyres screeched as the driver pulled over at the garage.. I stopped browsing on my phone and picked up my bag pack, which was beside me .
"Have a nice day Ma'am,the driver said as I proceed to alight from the car
I ignored him instead.it wasn't intentional cause I had my air pods on. I opened the door and alighted, making way into the house.
"Hey peeps, I'm back ,I screamed , while waiting for my parents to show up ."mom,dad",i called and placed my bag pack on a couch.
Just then,my phone rang. I checked the calIer IDand it was my dad. He was calling me on Face time. I rolled my eyes and picked
"Hey honey" he said
"Where are you guys now?. I asked
"Sorry darling,we won't be coming home tonight . We have a lot to attend to ,he said and I scoffed. Mom came to join him ."This is not fair ,I said badly and sadly.
"We are sorry honey, we're doing this for u, mom said
"By abandoning me "i responded angrily
"No we are not .beside you're all grown.
You can take care of yrself in our absence,not a kid anymore though "she said"
Well, bye they both said and dad hung up
I threw my phone on the couch angrily.i wonder why both of them have to stress so much when they own the company for crying out loud
I wonder wat type of parents will abandon their only child in the name of business
I sat on the couch aggressively and closed my eyes trying to get lost in my own thoughts, when a message popped into my phone
I picked up my phone and clicked on the message. Wow ! I've been added to the class group . My mind went to Leonard and I blushed, actually why am I feeling like this to someone i barely know huhhh.. I went to check the members of the class group with the hope of finding Leonard contact .
Boom!! I found it and clicked on his profile picture. I bit my lips when I saw his pictures
Oh my.... He his just so cute I wanted to send him a DM ,but I stopped myself.
"No Lena, you're a girl with great self esteem. You can't stop so low to that level . "I spoke some senses into my head
I checked the time and gasped
"Oh my ....it's fifteen minutes to my favourite show "i said to no one in particular
I carried my bag pack and headed towards my room. Freshened up and came back to the living room at exactly five o'clock. I switched on the TV , switching it to my favourite show. Popcorn and soda were also entertaining me. It's not bad to be home alone after all ..it's freedom

Next day -----7.:40 AM
I was enjoying my peaceful sleep when the alarm disrupted me .I groaned lazily , reached for my alarm which was on the bed and switched if off . I positioned myself in a more comfortable position and covered myself with bedspread..I drifted back to my dream land. This time around Leonard was in my dream . My phone rang. I swung my legs on the bed angrily. This shift is running my peaceful sleep. I opened a eye and reach for my phone . I answered tr phone call without checking the ID ,but am sure it was my parents
"Hey honey. Are U on yr way to school,mom asked ,my spirit open and my sleepiness disappeared
I checked the time it was 8:05AM. class starts by 8:30 AM. I'm screwed
"School".... I repeated and hung up
"Oh shit! I forgot.i slept late and woke up late"
I hurried out of the bed,took my bath and got ready for school..
Can U pls drive faster "i urged the driver impatiently

I stepped into the class and a teacher was already there.i looked down sheepishly
"And why are U just coming young lady? She asked calmly
I'm very sorry ma'am. I had an emergency to deal with . I lied
"What emergency is that?if I may ask. The teacher said with a neutral look
This lady should please let me go and stop saueeymu intestine with questions
"Its family and personal"i replied
"Really"?she asked and I nod
She stared at me for some minutes and allowed me to my sit
"Thank you "i faked a smile and walked to my seat
Good morning " he greeted
I almost fainted when I Heard his voice
Good morning"i responded shyly
"U look beautiful though" he complimented,my cheeks turned crimson
"Thanks.you also look handsome"i complimented back
He giggled
"Do you two mind sharing your conversation with the whole class"The teacher yelled.
"We are sorry" we both chorused and laughed
I felt eyes on me. I turned and my eyes made contact with Vera..
Gosh who the hell is she "
She gave me a fake smile and turned her face away. This Vera is very unpredictable. One moment she is laughing with me and the other she is being hateful
What's her stress?
Or maybe she is actually jealous because am sitting with Leonard.
