Sig eventually decided to believe that Thor was a god, even though it all felt too much like science fiction to her.
But in this world, there were also superheroes like the mage Alaric and Iron Man, so it seemed that strange things weren't so hard to accept after all.
The Next Day
Alaric intended to take Jane out to explore the town, but he was stopped by Thor.
"Uncle! Please, tell me, how can I become stronger!"
Thor had gotten up early, stood in front of Alaric who was just leaving, and asked him to teach him.
"Huh?"
Alaric looked at Thor suspiciously.
"I still need to teach you? I think it's best you just stay like this."
Alaric said that his progress couldn't depend solely on him personally teaching him.
It depended on Odin.
In other words, it was up to Thor himself to awaken Odin's power within.
Actually, Thor, who now possessed a part of Odin's power, wasn't weak, he just wasn't able to use that part of the power.
He even needed to rely on Mjolnir's guidance to wield the powerful force of lightning.
Later, not until Odin dies and until Thor, under Hela's threat, with Odin's guidance in the spiritual realm, finally manages to fully manifest Odin's power without relying on Mjolnir and becomes the God-King of Asgard.
"But uncle, I've been stuck at this level for nearly two thousand years, and my strength is still the same. If I keep going like this, I don't know when I'll be able to reach my father's level!"
"So, uncle, I want to grow stronger! I hope you can teach me!!"
After going through this hardship and reevaluating his past self, Thor realized that he had been standing still the whole time, conceited in believing he was the strongest warrior below Odin!
However, during the battle in Jotunheim, he nearly died under the siege of the Frost Giants; if Odin hadn't shown up in the end, he likely wouldn't have returned to Asgard.
Moreover, now that his divine power was stripped away, it was extremely difficult for him as a mere mortal to return to his previous level.
Since he didn't want to give up, Thor needed help.
Because none of the previous teachings ever included how to progress after losing divine power.
That's why he thought of Alaric.
He figured that since Alaric had been on Earth so long and possessed such power, he must understand a lot.
So why not ask him to teach?
"Well… to teach you, I'll have to think about it."
Alaric was considering.
What Thor needed now weren't combat skills, nor did he need to learn magic; Thor's power itself was already one of the most powerful magics.
What remained, and what Thor lacked the most, was how to dig deep into the power within his heart and how to manifest Odin's power.
"Alright, Thor, I'll teach you a method of visualization. When you can use Thor's power without Mjolnir, it means you're qualified to surpass Odin."
Alaric said, transmitting to Thor through mental magic the [Divine-Level – Visualization] technique, which he himself comprehended when he first encountered magic.
It was through that visualization that Alaric created his own god of magic.
So it would be of great help to Thor in exploring the strength of his inner world.
Both now and in the future.
"Visualization… What should I visualize?"
When Thor understood the principle, he asked Alaric.
"Visualize your power as Thor."
"The power of Thor…"
"That means in your spiritual world, you must visualize the power of lightning, grasp its essence, feel the way it exists, feel its strength!
As long as you can manifest the power of lightning through your own will, that means you've succeeded."
Alaric nodded.
"I understand! Uncle! Thank you!"
Thor bowed seriously to Alaric.
Thor was grateful to Alaric for helping him when he was exiled, abandoned, and when he lost his father at his lowest moment!
This gratitude, Thor would remember in his heart!!
Then Alaric took Jane out for a walk; they rarely came to New Mexico, so they should enjoy the local atmosphere.
As for Thor, he immediately returned to his room and began to meditate, contemplating the power of Thor in his spiritual realm.
What Thor would gain from it, Alaric said, depended entirely on him.
...
That day passed.
Thor's visualization took effect, and he said that in the spiritual world he constructed his own image based on the power of Thor.
That made Thor very happy; he felt that Thor's power was no longer far away, like it was within reach.
Alaric commented internally that it wasn't far at all, if Odin weren't suppressing it, he would have regained his divine power long ago!
In addition, Alaric finally welcomed the Four Warriors of Asgard.
Seeing that they hadn't appeared earlier, Alaric thought Loki might have stopped them, which would've almost disrupted the course of events.
But luckily, both Sif and Heimdall were Thor's most loyal allies.
So the four of them managed to arrive smoothly on Earth.
This also pushed Loki to make a quick decision to deal with Thor completely.
So, after learning that Sif and the others had left Asgard, he went to the vault, activated the Destroyer, and sent it to Earth.
...
Earth.
After Heimdall's precise teleportation, Sif and the others quickly found Thor.
That brought great joy to Thor, and they also told him the shocking news that his father Odin was not dead!
He had only fallen into a deep sleep!!
Even though Loki had once again tricked him, Thor said that for now, he would not return to Asgard.
Sif and the others didn't understand and tried to persuade him, but their conversation was interrupted by a sudden attack.
...
In a small café, Alaric and Jane were enjoying a peaceful time.
When Sif and the others arrived on Earth, he sensed it with his perception.
He also sensed the Destroyer that followed immediately after them.
However, Alaric didn't go to watch, nor did he plan to interfere.
After all, once Odin lifted the suppression, Mjolnir would immediately return to Thor's hand, so there wasn't a big problem.
But even though he didn't intend to get involved, someone else didn't see it that way.
"Loki, have you come to monitor me? Afraid I'll ruin your plans?"
Alaric looked at the projection of Loki that suddenly appeared and asked.
"You said before that you wouldn't interfere in matters between me and my brother." Loki looked at Alaric and asked.
"That's right, I won't interfere."
"Even if Thor dies because of it." Loki was suspicious.
"So what, you're the one killing him, not me."
"..."
Loki thought: what you're saying actually makes sense!
