The aura from the blade pulsatated more and more, darkening. The pulsation continued for seconds, raising more and becoming faster like a heartbeat and abruptly stopped for seconds. Ethan tought it was finish but what followed was expected. As if an explosion, a gust of dark aura exploded from the blade, sending Ethan flying in the air, falling to the ground.
"Damn... Is that really a common sword as I thought?"
He stood to his feet and walk to where the sword dropped and picked it up. The appearance which made him judge the sword to be common now change to what amazed him totally. The edges of the blade where dark till the point and the middle was red with dark symbols, the other side of blade was same.

The glowing panel popped up followed by the cold mechanical voice from within him.

Ethan said with a smile, the sword glowed faintly in his hand as if responding to him. He picked the sheath and guarded the sword in it

Ethan marched step by step from their burnt house. The path felt silent behind him, but its weight clung to Ethan's soul like chains. He didn't look back at the house. Not that he didn't want but he couldn't. If he did, he knew his resolve might crack. The village was now a temple of memories, memories from this cursed world that burdened his soul and pierced his heart. Memories that weighed to his being, clinging to him like chains from the underworld. The cold wind brush passed him but he couldn't feel any, this world was empty and all that it gave him was pain, sorrow and agony.
