It was technically the safest place in Roanridge, defended by the fierce, commanding presence of the Alpha King, yet the air thrummed with a tension that was sharper than any blade. Alaric stood before his shattered council, his voice an iron-clad pronouncement of vengeance. He was leaving. He was going to hunt Vorath.
