Hermione just looked at him and didn't say anything. The door clicked open after a few seconds. The Granger couple walked in and said," if it's okay with you kid. We're thinking about adopting you ", Damian replied flatly," no ", the couple frowned and asked," why? Don't you like us? Or are you holding a grudge that I hit you with my car ".
" Neither, but I don't want to take advantage of this situation sir. And you don't know anything about me. I can be a bad guy, I maybe related to criminal gangs or even someone who is registered with crime. Can be a thief? Are you sure you want to adopt me even then? ", Damian asked.
" Hah, a bad guy. Who? You? I can agree you're maybe a thief but you're certainly not a bad guy. I already checked your identity with the cops when the accident happened. I personally requested to take you under our wing. So don't joke around kid. You're living with us from now on and that's final ", Mrs. Granger said.
Then she said," and my daughter here got too much attached to certain somebody to leave it like that ", Hermione glared at her mother before turning to Damian and said," I'm just worried and think that this is all happened because of me. If I didn't scream and call for help. You would have been in a good condition. That's all. Don't misunderstand ".
" Oh! I understand. So you don't care about me at all ", Damian said while Hermione looked at blankly and said," don't tease me Damian. Remember I can still pinch you ", Mr and Mrs Granger said," well we'll see about adoption later than. Take rest for now. Hermione go to bed. It's already late. Good night Damian ".
2 months later :
Damian can walk now. The car accident is pretty bad. Damian is hit directly and thrown many meters away and his head hit a pole very hard. It's a wonder he can still live from the words of Mr and Mrs Granger. They rushed to the hospital immediately with him when that happened which saved. After his condition stabilised, he is brought back to their house. The room he is staying is one of their guest rooms.
As for the system and gift boxes. He can't even walk properly, how can he collect them. It's only these days that he is able to walk properly without pain in his joints. That's when he understood even a magic folk will take a nasty hit and needs so much time to recover.
Well at least he and Hermione got along pretty well. This is mainly because, she talks and he listens. She reads books by his side. And all the time it's books and studies. Speaking of which, when he helped her with homework she is shocked, not only her but Mr and Mrs Granger too.
She just casually read few of her math problems out but after she heard Damian's answers she is stunned to see, they're correct. Since then she reads books and her homework by his side.
As the days passed, one day and two owls appeared in the house with two letters in their beaks.

The Grangers all turned to Damian which made him grumble," I'm not the one who sent those letters. Don't look at me like that everytime something weird happens ", Hermione opened her letter and read through it. Same with Damian, but since Damian knew about the Harry Potter world he is more relaxed.
" Magic? Is that even real? ", Wendell Granger asked. " Damian? Are you sure this isn't one your pranks? ", Helen asked. Damian face turned deadpan as he said," I said don't blame for everything weird things that happened ".
" Oh! Then may I ask how Kevin got slime all over his body last week ", Helen asked while Damian said," he is trying to bully Hermione. So I just used some paint and mixed some chemicals then poured it on him. I didn't do anything other than that ".
" Yeah except he got rashes everywhere on his body the next day because you also mixed itching powder in the slimy thing isn't that right? ", Helen asked again. Damian coughed and said," it's an accident. But this is nothing to do with me. I promise ".
" I'll believe you ..... for now ", Helen said while Damian grumbled. " hehe, that's why i told you don't do anything naughty ", Hermione said. Damian deadpanned once again and said," yeah, yeah. Follow rules and all, behave well, I know no need to stay that stuff ".
" hehe, are you sure you don't want to be adopted as our son. you two will be good siblings ", Damian said," no i don't want to ", ' sorry Mr and Mrs Granger. I can't do it '. " mom, dad, I told this topic will be not spoken again ", Hermione said with her hands on her hips. Helen said," relax kids. It's just a suggestion. I hoped I had another child always, a boy like or more like an elder sister for hermione. she is such a girl that always worries her parents. Isn't that right dear? ".
" what? hey, I didn't do anything to make you worry right? ", Hermione asked with a fake hurt look. after being with Damian, some of his habits rubbed on her too. " as for this letter. let's leave it at that. if it's a prank, we'll know later and I'm thinking about going to shopping today. Damian, You're coming with us. Remember when I said I'll punish you later for the stunt you pulled with kevin. You'll know what it is today ".
Damian blinked and pointed to himself not understanding how shopping can be punishment. Hermione meanwhile gave a strange giggle and wink at her mother while Wendell cast a sympathetic glance at Damian. After eating breakfast Wendell took them to the mall specially to an all women's store. Damian thought it's normal and his punishment is wait there until their shopping is over drowning in boredom but he failed to see the strange smiles of Helen and Hermione along with the camera Wendell sneaked in.
