Chapter 61 - Chapter 61 I've Been A Little Busy Lately

The boy's voice, rippling, flowed into Su Qing's ears, causing her to tremble inexplicably.

Jiang Sui lowered his eyes, a slight smile on his lips as he took off his school uniform and draped it over the girl.

Su Qing pinched the clothes, wanting to return it to Jiang Sui, but the boy was too overbearing, and his gaze made it impossible to refuse. She obediently put them on.

Finally, unable to hold back, she asked Jiang Sui.

"Didn't you get into Peking University?"

His grades were among the best, so admission to the university should be a piece of cake. Su Qing, hands behind her back, picked at her nails. As soon as she finished speaking, she regretted it.

The young man's eyes burned, his pale lips curved into a faint smile, and his handsome face gazed at Su Qing with an inexplicable meaning.

"My Qing Qing still cares about me, doesn't she?"

The moment these words left her mouth, Su Qing felt her face heat up. She lowered her head, remaining silent.

She felt that Jiang Sui would think anything she said was caring, so she simply kept silent.

Her chin was lifted by a pair of slender, bony fingers.

"Qing Qing, don't you know why I wasn't admitted to Peking University?"

The boy's voice lingered softly, lingering in Su Qing's ear and hitting her.

He said he wanted to be a police officer. Su Qing clenched her fingers, her milky white teeth biting her lower lip. She dodged awkwardly, not wanting to answer the boy's question.

"Getting admitted to Peking University isn't bad." He spoke slowly, evasively.

He'd be unhappy.

"It's good, Qing Qing. I only feel good when I'm with you, you know."

As he spoke, the boy's scorching gaze made Su Qing feel a little hot. His words were blunt and burning, and Su Qing turned her head away, not wanting to look at him.

"You, you haven't been to class for a long period already."

Su Qing bit her lip and tightened her grip. It was true that she hadn't seen Jiang Sui much lately. He seemed very busy, only attending the main classes. The rest of the time he was out of the classroom, not even for self-study.

Jiang Sui's fingers paused. His clothes were already a little wrinkled. He lowered his fingers and straightened them.

"I've been busy lately. I'll be back in class in a couple of days."

His voice was as deep as ever, its emotion undetectable.

"Qing Qing, can you give me extra lessons this weekend?"

Su Qing looked up, puzzled. "My grades aren't as good as yours..."

She was only slightly better in English; otherwise, she was just average among the top students. She'd heard of Jiang Sui's legend. Aside from English and Chinese, the boy often got full marks, provided he was willing to take them.

Obviously, the reason he didn't get full marks in English and Chinese was because of the essay.

If it weren't for those two subjects, the boy could have gotten full marks in all of them, barring any unexpected circumstances.

She had heard many people shy away from the young man, perhaps not just because of his looks and family background, but also because of his excellence.

Jiang Sui narrowed his eyes and smiled, like a fox watching a trapped rabbit.

"In that case, I'll nourish Qing Qing."

Su Qing didn't even think of refusing; she dreaded time alone with Jiang Sui.

"That way, Qing Qing won't look for anyone else, right?"

These words carried a chill that made Su Qing shudder. She licked her lips, "Then let's nourish each other."

She didn't know why, but she hoped, even if their paths would never cross.

She also hoped that the boy would always be full of vigor and energy, always igniting others.
