Chapter 15 - Secrets of Feelings and Unknown Developments

A whole month had passed since the relationship between Yazan and Rahaf began to take a new turn, a month in which time seemed to fly yet move slowly at the same time, as if it carried many emotions hidden beneath the surface of words. Rahaf had noticed a change in Yazan's behavior; he had become closer to her and more attentive to every detail of her day.

As for Yazan, he began to feel something strange toward Rahaf, something he had never felt before, even with Karma. These feelings swirled in his mind, but he couldn't determine whether he truly loved her or if there was something else binding them together.

The relationship between Yazan and Rahaf wasn't the only one evolving. Tala and Sami's relationship had also taken a different path. Although each of them now knew their true feelings toward the other, no confession had happened yet perhaps out of fear of failure, or maybe because of the ambiguity of their emotions.

One ordinary day, Rahaf entered the company with a wide smile, moving among the employees greeting them. Her relationship with Rayan had grown closer, and they had become close friends. She shared everything with him, from the small details of her day to developments at work, and he always offered her advice and support.

On the other side, Yazan had achieved amazing results in the project he was managing, which earned him a promotion to deputy manager. It was Rayan who gave Yazan this opportunity, believing in his abilities and potential.

One day after the promotion, Yazan entered Rayan's office to tell him about the latest project developments. He found Rahaf there discussing some papers with Rayan, and while he was laughing, Rayan said to him: "You deserve this position, Yazan. You're an exceptional young man."

Yazan smiled shyly but felt proud not only of the promotion but because Rayan had given him the chance to prove himself and reach the highest positions within the company.

While Rahaf was talking with Rayan and sharing her ideas, she received a call from Karma, who had tried to contact her several times. Finally, Rahaf decided to answer, but with a cold voice:

Rahaf: "Hello, Karma."

It wasn't easy for Karma to accept this coldness, so she began speaking in a nervous tone.

Karma: "You're happy now with Yazan, aren't you? You took my place in his heart so easily and betrayed our friendship."

Rahaf: "I didn't betray you; you did. You were the first to leave him."

Karma: "I didn't betray him, no, Anas forced me to do this…"

Rahaf knew she wouldn't get a convincing answer from Karma; it was clear to her. The call ended abruptly, but what remained in Karma's heart was too big to end easily. Her feelings grew hotter, and her madness increased little by little.

After the call, Karma couldn't bear this to be the end; she exploded with rage, breaking anything she saw in front of her. She wasn't in a normal state; anyone who saw her would think she was crazy. She kept whispering repeatedly: "You won't belong to anyone else, Yazan. I won't let her have you. If you're not mine, you won't be anyone else's."

After a while, she sat tired on the bed, with broken glass and destruction everywhere. Suddenly, she jumped up and hurried to Anas, who was sitting in his office, reviewing some papers. When Karma entered, Anas quickly hid the papers and said coldly: "Hasn't anyone told you before that you should ask permission before entering?"

Karma didn't answer him but asked sharply: "Don't you want to take revenge on Yazan?"

Anas replied calmly, thinking deeply about her words: "No, I don't want to. He took from me what I wanted I wanted you, and I got you easily."

But Karma wasn't convinced and spoke with a sharp tone: "You married me, but my heart stayed with Yazan. I couldn't forget him…"

Anas grew a little angry but kept his calm and said: "And what do you want now?"

Karma was angry and confused, and she said violently: "I want to destroy him because if he's not mine, he won't be anyone else's."

Anas looked at her with scrutinizing eyes, then thought carefully. If Karma thought that way, surely she no longer loved Yazan, because someone who loves another never thinks about hurting them.

Maybe he wanted to achieve something for himself, and this could be a golden opportunity. He thought about it from another angle and said calmly: "Alright… if you want that, I will help you."

Despite Anas's emotional attempts, his decision was made. He wasn't interested in Karma's feelings toward Yazan, but what mattered now was how he could win her heart and get what he wanted. And from here, the plan began.
